We had 14 defective issues after inspecting our 2020 AF. .. interior and exterior. We brought our 5th in for service and they were able to address 10 problems. But not the most costly 4. Northwoods would not cover them. I called and had to leave messages that they never returned! They simply do not answer the phone!! Also, there were cosmetic issues.. chalk and glue smeared everywhere!! A big gash on the bathroom floor from what looked like a heavy tool that fell on it, and was filled will putty. .. the kind that doesn't harden! Puckered carpet in 2 areas. .. and more! Now, 3 years later, the water and waste sensors don't work! So we have no idea what level our tanks are! Our automatic leveling Jack's don't work, a bar broke on the main slide-out, and needs welding. These campers are very expensive compared to 'average' units!! One would expect quality and customer service to be top priority to the company (Northwoods)! But that is far from!! We never would have bought one of these campers, had we known!!

I purchased this Arctic Fox due to a friend's recommendation after he had done extensive research on RV quality--especially important during that period of RV popularity when manufacturers were pushing units out the door as fast as they could. I was never disappointed with my unit. It pulled like a charm. On the road I could hardly tell I had anything behind me. Setting up at campsites was a breeze once I understood the leveling system: raise the front, unhook, press autolevel and the system automatically leveled itself (this is on level campsites as I never boondocked). The layout was convenient, the storage abundant, and I was able to add a washer/dryer so it allowed me to be totally self sufficient. The sleeping area was separated from the living area for privacy and the separate toilet compartment allowed complete privacy. The company was receptive to every phone call with patient answers to my newbie questions. Northwood doesn't appear on RVTrader's "most popular" list because it is a small company but people looking for quality products should look at units from this company. They are well made and allow for enjoyable camping experiences.

Shower has leaked sice the purchase so it not usable. Shower pan has been discontinued is what I am told. The rear and upstairs tvs do not work when plugged to cable. I have been told that its fine but they are not checking with it hooked to cable, only antennae. A wrranty request was denied for a digital splitter. I didnt ask for that. I called Forest River to be told it was built to spec. I asked if spec meant it was built to not work properly. No fix in sight. absolute terrible customer service and product. We upgraded to an $80,000 POC.

So this review is a follow up to my last review with regards too the Norcold Refrigerator....i had to replace the entire cooling unit...my unit didn't survive a freezing winter being plugged into shore power. Something else I have learned...not sure this is by design or a design flaw but you cannot use the slide out even if you are plugged into shore power without the batteries hooked up....has to have 12v and won't receive 12v from the converter. Another resent failure was my highly rated Dexter axel brakes.. they failed after about 6k miles. The brake linings have separated from the brake shoe damaging one drum...all brakes had to be replaced. On a positive note the couch is well made but some major parts have failed way too soon for a highly rated new trailer.

So we bought new, a 2021 Artic Wolf 3660 suite. We have been in it a year now, it is a great floor plan, however, there are a few things that make it difficult to be in full time, especially in warmer weather! This rig was Not made to be in warm weather! We have to run the Air conditioner in anything over 70 degrees, unless your surrounded by trees. If it’s 68-70 degrees outside, it’s already almost 80 inside. We had a 32’ travel trailer Vibe by Forest River & we didn’t have this issue at all. I realize the 5th wheel is a larger area inside & takes more to keep it cool, but it is literally like an oven in anything over 70 degrees!! The Front door is another HUGE issue!! Again the Vibe we had the door was normal size ( meaning like close to a house size front door), you could get a sofa through it with no problem. Not in this 3660 suite!!! Why in the world would you make the front door in a 5th wheel smaller than a travel trailer!! That makes absolutely No Sense at All!! My Husband is only 6’2” & practically has to duck to walk through it, And the width is a little over an inch less as well… Really, what the heck is that about & why, again makes No Sense!! Overall we do like this layout & the amount of room, however, those 2 things when “full time RV ‘ing is HUGE!! Montana has normal size doors, whisper quite Air Conditioning & withstand the Heat much better than this model! We will not purchase this make & model again in the future, we will go back to “The Montana “ ( which we had back 20 years ago, & liked them then too)!

Our primary purchase decision came down to layout and having autoleveling jacks. We love the floorplan and it is every bit as functional as we were hoping. Our child sleeps soundly in her own room and the door is far enough away that my wife and I can watch tv in the living room without waking her up. We have about 1,0 00 miles on it since purchasing and we have utilized the A/C in the extreme heat of Texas desert as well as the heater in the brisk air of a late October Oregon. The 15kbtu main A/C is capable of cooling the camper down to 80 with triple digit temperature outside. We have good airflow in our bunkroom but it did require adjusting the vents to get the air flowing correctly to cool it down. The auto leveling system is a dream come true. It is truly as easy as a click of a button and it levels correctly every time. We have camped in some extreme angles and the jacks are able to go down far enough to level it out. I will note that sometimes we have to plug into electricity before completing the level because the battery will not have enough power in extreme conditions. We have had no issues at all with this camper. Everything works exactly as it is designed. Overall we are very satisified with this purchase.
