I rate the Ford Transit highly for a camper conversion. The rating for livability gets 4 stars only as compared with traditional RVs that have more available interior space. The floor plan rating really doesn't apply, because this was a DIY custom build that works for the owner. The long wheelbase and extension provide a larger living area, and the high roof allows people over six feet tall to stand upright comfortably. I created a bed that flips over so that I can haul very large items even when the camper is "off duty." There's always a pass-through to the cabin open under the bed to slide long items in. I was favorably impressed with its driving comfort and ease. The side mirrors are impressive, allowing excellent views of both sides and even 90% o the rear view. Since this is a factory-built cargo van, and smaller than most RVs, parking is surprisingly easy, and parts and service is readily available nearly anywhere you travel. I had to rate all categories, but the warranty/support didn't apply to me, as I was the second owner.
I'm very pleased with the Transit.

This van was worst quality any camper I’ve seen in my 60 short years life . Having worked in auto industry for years . How do these people building ThorsSleep at night . I would not buy another Thor product and will try to prevent others from same and share I lack of joyful experience with turn you off to great outdoors . Each vans are put together by monkeys and have no reason to leave there factory in the horrible builds .

Factory difficult in the customer service area...non resposive both in phone calls as well as e-mails.
Build quality terrible...water leaks/missing parts limited availabilities of upgrades and very little owner's manual information. Great floor plan...nice design but assembled by people who just did not care if it's components function or not. Cheap! Cheap! This was my 30th new motorhome.
Owners of manufacturers[family owned I am told] just do not have any pride in their product.
Would NEVER buy another of their products!
Have a wonderful dealer though!

We have owned our 20k for almost three years now and have had very little issue with it. We absolutely love everything about it from the many drawers and cabinets to the rather large refrigerator to the great bed size. Getting ready for the day is a breeze with the wet bath and front table. We have worked with Thor in the past and believe you get from any customer service person what you give and had a great experience.

I purchased a brand new 2025 Mercedes-Benz Galleria RV in late March 2025. I picked this vehicle up in Reno and was in the process of driving it back to Minnesota when I incurred multiple issues. The first two issues were with the Mercedes-Benz cabin, chassis portion on the vehicle Which fortunately occurred in Salt Lake City and I was able to get a warranty repair of $4000 completed within 24 hours. The remaining issue or with the gallery a portion of the vehicle. I have had five separate issues ranging from the heat and hot water system microwave, AC, macerator in operable all realized within the first 48 hours purchase. Now that I’m back in Minnesota. This vehicle is at a dealership here locally and hopefully all these issues are being resolved. All of this could’ve been avoided, though I had the vehicle been checked out by the dealer and/or build properly from the manufacture to begin with.
