We purchased a new 2019 Nexus Viper 27V in February of 2021. We have now owned the unit for 4 years, during which time we have driven it 15,000 miles and camped for about 5 months. The unit has been used only by my wife and I, who are seniors and do our test to take care of our things. Unit is stored indoors at all times when not on the road. Our experience We love the floor plan and overall livability of the unit, however we have had numerous problems right from the start. The cab was leaking above the drivers visor, and the cabinetry in the entertainment center was damaged and had to be replaced.. The power inverter/charger was defective The drivers side running board literally pulled away from the body. We also had a water leak in the shower wall. Two trips to the factory “resolved” these issues, however the water leak in the shower returned six months later , this time destroying the floor of the coach which had to be entirely replaced (on my dime). Seems the connections on the back of the shower fixture (which had been “fixed” by the factory before) were installed at a 75 degrees angle (rather than the 90 they were designed for) as a result of the hot and cold lines going around the outside of a framing member under the paneling. Notching the framing board allowed me to properly install the fittings and allowed the hall wall paneling to fit flush for the first time. I also installed an inspection plate to allow access to this are in the future should it ever be needed again.. At the rear of the coach between the floor and exterior wall under the cabinets was a gap more than an inch wide opening directly to the outside. The crossover hydraulic line on the self leveling system developed a major leak-seems the hose was Not supported or tied up in any way. It dropped down on the driveshaft which quickly melted a hole in the hose, Other system hoses were also just hanging loose and had to be secured while the damaged one was being replaced. The drivers side running board is again showing cracking and in need of repair. The “recliner” was not secured to the floor, plus it could not be used to “recline” unless moved to the center of the coach. I replaced this with a wooden bench with extra storage beneath the seat. The water pump failed and had to be replaced, as did the door lock, which failed in a latched position which prevented the coach door from being opened. We are currently “on the road” for the past 4 weeks and during this trip the vinyl on both the cab seats and especially on the dinette has completely came apart with the (very) thin vinyl cracking and peeling completely off its backing-to the point that as of today approximately 30% of the vinyl is gone from the backing, plus the cushions on the dinette have collapsed, so we are basically sitting on a piece of plywood. Also, on this trip the bathroom floor has developed a “soft” spot-as I have no leak from the shower or sink it appears the black tank or toilet seal is leaking. The inverter/charger is again acting up and will need to be serviced or replaced. At this point I am looking at $5-7k in repairs at the end of this trip. Nexus has one of The best basic designs out there, but shoddy construction, a complete lack of any quality control and the use of extremely low quality materials throughout significantly degrade the product. For the record, we have camped for 25 years, have owned a fifth wheel and two travel trailers in the time and covered tens of thousands of miles in campers over the years. The Nexus, in 4 years, has had far more issues that the other three combined. We actually lived in our 5th wheel for a year while our home was being built, and then let my brother in law use it for another 10 months while his home was being built (plus 3 years of camping) and it looked nearly new inside-with zero upholstery issues. We would NOT recommend Nexus to anyone..

Having owned three Airstreams and a Tiffin Allegro Bus, I can make some comparisons. In all areas of quality, the LTV is exceptional. These are literally hand built with quality control an ongoing process integrated into the production line. I observed this in a factory tour. Additionally, should a repair part be required, as I needed to replace the propane regulator, I called the factory and had the part in hand in three days. While RV’s in general today seem to have many problems, the Leisure Travel Van has very few. I would highly recommend this brand over any other Class C.

The RV is small enough that it’s easy to drive in the lanes on the highway and freeway , turn signals are easy to use and cameras. It’s extremely easy to park in parking lots and even to parallel park on streets. It is easy to unplug it and Drive away to Go shopping or dinner. And come back and hook up if you don’t tow a car. It is just a delightful motorhome to own.

We use the RV for me and my wife. Living area is great with approximately 12 feet width with full driver side and the 2 passenger side slide outs. The king bed and shower makes it very comfortable and enjoyable. The adjustable air mattress makes sleeping very comfortable. The kitchen is plenty big with plenty of counter space and 3 propane burners. The washer/dryer is 4 cu/ft. Dishwasher is sorta small. Central Vac works pretty good, small dust bag but that's what they put in these RVs. We bought this RV used, and to date the quality is great. There have been small things that I can repair and work on. No major issues to date. The floor plan is very nice with the living room area towards the front. I was a little concerned with the TV as I don't like the TV mounted facing the front. However, the TV in this RV is at an ~45 degree angle, and it pulls out from the wall so it can be pivoted to give you a more straight on view if you prefer (same with the outside TV). We tow a 2013 Honda CRV and can't tell it's back there.

We bought this motorhome new in 2019 after several months of online research and going to dealers and RV shows. We felt that it had a very livable floor plan, with a full-length slide on the drivers side. The relatively short length (30'3") made it easy to get around almost any campground, and being only 12'2" tall made it possible to get under many bridges and tree limbs. It has the 50 amp package, which allows for two rooftop 15,000 BTU air conditioners, and has a 5500W Onan gas generator. When the slide is in, there is easy access to the bed, bathroom and refrigerator, which meant stops for lunch or overnighting at Walmart or Cracker Barrel were handled easily. I'm 6'4" tall, and found plenty of headroom in the coach, on the toilet and in the shower. The RV refrigerator was large enough for our needs, although the freezer was a little tight, but still OK. Storage in the basement was very good- we had plenty of room for anything we wanted to bring. Myself, my wife and our two large dogs totaled about 600lbs, and towing our CR-V added 500lbs of tongue weight- however, the cargo carrying capcity of 2002 lbs meant we could still bring 900 lbs of stuff with us, which was more than enough. This coach has the Ford V10 gas engine on a F53 chassis. When it comes to towing, we barely noticed that we were pulling our Honda CR-V (flat-towed). We had no problem with mountain passes, going up or down. The tow/haul feature on the engine really helped with hills and mountains, and with braking in traffic or coming down an exit ramp off a highway. It has an automated leveling system, an onboard LP gas canister, a gas water heater, an RV referigerator, an outdoor TV and kitchen w/sink and 'frig, rear and side cameras, a powered Euroloft bed in the cab, a sofa that opens out to a bed and a dinette that converts into a bed as well. As far as quality goes, the cabinetry is very good quality, the rest of the decor is also nice- better than most RVs we had looked at but not luxurious. It's a typical RV- that means with time things need some work/replacement. During the 6 years we've owned this, we've traveled 36,000 miles as we visited 45 states and 9 Canadian provinces. We've replaced a water pump, the step motor, the carburetor on the generator, the windshield (by the Winnebago factory, due to cracks from rocks thrown up by trucks), the tires (new Goodyears in May 2023, only have ~5,000 miles on them) and a leaky valve in the cooling system of the Ford engine. The awning broke in a sudden rainstorm shortly after we bought the unit, and that was repaired under warranty by Camping World, so its as good as new. Since we've driven it out to the middle of nowhere at times, we've always performed the recommend maintenance at the recommend intervals so that we wouldn't have a problem when away from civilization.

This model we found to be the best layout for a couple looking for a long term rving. We lived comfortably for over4 months in our Phaeton. The all electric coach took the issues out of worrying about propane levels and safety. Loved the heated floors and consistent heat throughout the whole coach. The AquaHot provides endless hot water. While towing my half ton Chevy pickup I would have to look in the camera just to remind myself it was there! This Powerglide chassis tracks straight down the road with plenty of power., not like my previous Fleetwood Excursion. While towing I would get 8.5 miles per gallon through the hills and climbing. These coaches are loaded with features that you would like in your land home.
