Great to drive. Tons of space for adults to sleep and hang out. could use more power for towing but the 24 valve straight six Cummins diesel is a workhorse and very reliable. Expect little issues due to age. In the four plus years owned, the rear AC unit quit while in Florida but otherwise 20,000 plus miles of only minor maintenance. Recent 2,000 mi trip had the water heater storage tank fitting begin to leak which required a quick trip to the RV parts store and some assistance from my wife holding a flashlight. We enjoy being disconnected from the world while traveling but if you need TV to stay connected, a satellite system could be a good addition.

The 34C floorplan is fantastic because it has multiple sleeping areas, seatbelts for 7, the living room slide out is the perfect size, and the dinette overlooks the patio area so you can keep an eye on the little ones. I also love the driver's door; I would not buy a class A without one. The dual ducted A/C units are designed to run off of 30 amp service, which if fantastic.

We have owned this unit for 5 years and find the best feature to be the floor plan layout. Even when traveling with the two slides in the access to kitchen, fridge and washroom is easy and unimpeded. The drivability is second to none, one can drive a 10 hour day very comfortably. This is due to the "Roadmaster" frame and 10 air bag system. The large armless awning makes camping a pleasure on any evening.

Owned the 2000 Monaco Dynasty Regent 40' Double Slide for 9 years (have previously owned a '98 Dynasty (no slide) also. Love the chassis for its 8 air bag driving habits and tremendous basement storage. The Cummins ISC 350hp is a great fit with the Allison transmission which matters as most trips require us climbing out of the Phoenix Valley typically north towards Flagstaff. The best part of the coach is just that, the coach works beautiful interior that features solid cherry wood cabinetry, plenty of windows and living space. The quality of the coach is why we have owned two Dynasty motorhomes. Also a fan of the full body paint, 1 piece windshield the fantastic capacity it has, from a 10K hitch to the 100 gallons of fresh water we can carry and a huge 110+ gallon fuel cell. The ability to be completely self contained is a huge plus if you want to avoid crowds which is easy with a diesel generator, gas furnace & cooktop AND a three way fridge so that you can truly be off the grid. Minor complaints are very few, wish the TV was mounted in the center, the ladder to get to the roof is about a foot to high for a short guy like me and it has an odd placement for the inverter controls -- extremely minor items. This coach has served us mostly on 1-3 week trips across the West but could easily be a full time rig (have experience with living in the prior Dynasty for 2 years). Would highly recommend this generation and model of Monaco Dynasty. If maintained they have many years of service ahead of them.

I owned this coach for 7 years before selling it to the current owner due to my age. It is an awesome coach in every aspect including construction, ride, handling, features and dependability. It has a Cummings Diesel engine with a six speed Allison transmission and air ride suspension which makes driving it so enjoyable. I’m disappointed the husband of current owner’s passed because they were just beginning to learn and appreciate the quality of this coach. Someone is going to get an awesome coach and tow vehicle at a fantastic price. I’ve also volunteered to have questions (now or in the future) about this coach sent to me.
