One day after the camper was set on our permanent spot we noticed the floor was separating. My husband called the dealer and someone came to look at it. The only thing that the warranty would allow for repairs was to sand the plywood section that was sticking up. The repair man said that the plywood was actually breaking apart, but Salem won’t replace it. We now have two other spots in our floor that are doing the same thing. In addition to this, the shelving in the pantry is falling apart and the shelves are falling. We only have spices on these shelves. This camper is a year old. Disappointed in the quality of this camper, and incredibly disappointed in the lack of cooperation with the warranty. Show less

I purchased the 2022 Forest River Ozark in the summer of 2022 and was so excited. Off the lot at Camping World, it was a beautiful well-appointed travel trailer and we enjoyed our first camping trip very much. It was an easy light weight camper to tow with our Ford F-150 2.7 engine. I've kept this camper covered and clean at all times since pretty much the moment we purchased it. We live and camp mostly in South and Mid-Florida and on the second day of camping it rained and I noticed a small leak in the front interior seem near the head of the bed. I went to ACE and picked up a sealing caulking and caulked all that I could reach without a very tall ladder hoping that would fix the problem, but it didn't. I used RV Seem tape and that seemed to fix the front leak. On our third trip only 7 month after buying the camper and keeping it stored with a cover on the top, we noticed small stains on the interior roof as if rusty nails are slightly showing through on the ceiling. We noticed after about 9 months of having the camper, every cabinet covering that looks like wood finish was starting to peel at the edges. Also, we noticed that the vent fan switch was broken and we had no way of turning the vent fan off, so I replaced the switch myself. On the same camping trip, I pulled the top kitchen drawer out without any aggressive pulling and the whole drawer and left side track came out ripping out the screw through the front facia of the cabinet. We took the camper out for another trip June 5th, 2024 and when attaching it to my truck and inspecting it, I notice the front glass of the microwave was on the ground, luckily it didn't break. I was able to use automotive double-sided tape to re-attach it. On this same trip, we noticed something flapping in the mirror and realized that the awning, only 2 years old, was tearing off of the wall side attachment on the front and back of the camper. June 28th, 2024, I loaded some small lightweight bags of chips into the pantry shelf and the entire shelf collapsed while we drop to the Florida Keys to camp. I also noticed the small thin shelf behind the chaise lounge couch is starting to collapse and I don't put or store anything heavy on this shelf and typically put hats on it or maybe my cup of coffee on it. I also notice some small cracks on the counter tops near the corners and that the covering is lifting off the at the outside edges of the MDF board underneath. I love the layout of this camper and it is very comfortable for a couple, but the materials and construction of the camper are terrible. And to top it off, I wasn't able to get a call back from Camping World's warranty or repair department even though I have left multiple voicemails and messages. I probably won't buy a Forest River ever again, because my brother has a Forest River and he has had a lot of similar problems too. Show less

The 2021 Forest River Rockwood Mini Lite 2511S has been an excellent RV value. The rear-bathroom and front-bedroom floor plan makes for the perfect couples trailer. Two slide-outs: bedroom closet and entertainment center dual recliners. Super comfortable queen-sized bed. It travels well over the road—and because it’s so light (5,492 lbs. dry weight)—you can take it on long road trips without staggering fuel bills. Some people have commented about quality . of various features are built and outfitted on Forest River RVs, and I do understand that point of view. However, my experience with my 2021 Forest River Rockwood Mini Lite 2511S has not been degraded by low-quality components, design, or workmanship. This RV is well-made and built for affordability. If you’re in the market for a fun, comfortable RV in the $30K to $40K price range, I recommend you look at the 2021 Forest River Rockwood Mini Lite 2511S travel trailer. Show less

is the fourth camper I've owned? I'm not very impressed with it. Some of the cupboard doors in the bunkhouse portion don't shut in the master bedroom. The outlet is coming out of the wall and in the kitchen there's one that is loose as well. There is absolutely no cupboard space for dishes! I honestly didn't realize that until after I got it and tried to put dishes away. No cupboards. There is the most ridiculous door in the master bedroom. It's always in the way. There's no room in the master bedroom to change clothes or to barely walk through it. Show less

I bought my camper used approximately 8 years ago when it was 5 years old. We are happy with the layout of the camper and the quality of the cabinets, etc. We have had a couple issues that I am not sure if anyone else has experienced? 1). When we set up our camper we cannot perfectly level the camper while running the a/c without water dripping in the floor of the camper. If I slightly raise the side where the doors are (right side) the water will then run off the roof and down the gutter spouts. Not sure why it does this? 2) Last summer when driving home from a camping trip in late July the face of the radio fell out of the wall and was hanging by the wires. I had to just screw in back into the wall to hold it in place, but now the radio doesn’t work. 3). Carbon dioxide detector was chirping in non stop and so I had to cut the wires and put a movable carbon dioxide in the camper to be safe. Show less

In the middle of January 22nd, 2024, I purchased a 2023 Heritage Glen LTZ 270FKS 820 From Bish’s RV in meridian Idaho. Right off the bat I found 19 things wrong with the Trailer: These items are: Hole and bubbling above the pantry door Kitchen drawers fell out when pulled (drawers fell because the back studs for the drawer rail brackets are not attached) Side support board for the drawers also not attached panel under the refrigerator was secured leaving a half inch crooked gap Trim around the large bubble window above kitchen sink fell off while towing home five miles away on city streets Main brace underneath bed split and not attached Back plate behind the stove not attached just lying loose All pull down blinds have Velcro tabs on the bottom bar of the blinds but nothing on the walls to attach them too (only half done) Blinds crooked on the two narrow windows in the bedroom Broken latch on refrigerator door Hinges for the storage doors underneath dining table benches loose and floating back and forth Trim around the pantry sagging and loose (no adhesive) lens cover on running lights missing Wires not wrapped or secured on electric jack by hitch Access panel door on bedroom slide out warped Shower door seal fell off when opening door Magnetic plate for bedroom door installed on a diagonal (all others level to the floor) Panel under the sink only attached on one side Keyhole on front door pried and bent (probably not manufacturing) These are the items I found in the first three hours of possession and this morning I took it back to the dealership. I talked to the Director of service, Bish's RV in Meridian Idaho and showed him the issues I had, in which he documented and took possession of for immediate service, and I asked him to go through the whole RV to find the things I didn't find, (which scares me). So, I guess what my questions is where do we go from here, what is going to be done about this situation, I paid close to $50,000.00 for your product and the condition of the RV does not reflect that, (was it built on a Friday?). I sent an email to Bish’s and Forest River with this list of problems on Jan 23rd to Bish’s and Forest River, in which Bish’s took back the trailer and submitted it for warranty work. I’ve nbeen trying to resolve these issues for months now and more things are going wrong: The air conditioner ducting was not connected, and all the cold air was coming out from under the kitchen sink The one and only camping trip we went on the 11nth of April, we had to keep the speed of my towing below 50mph because the back of the trailer swayed wildly, (and it never did that before) This trailer has been in the shop more than out of the shop, and the kicker is Idaho doesn’t have an RV lemon Law. Low profile, very easy to tow, very comfortable bed, great headroom, easy to put up with power roof lift (a one man job in five minutes. A/C and heat, Ready to go, great for boondocking or plugging in at any campground, multiple storage areas. Show less

This floor plan is crazy spacious for such a small travel trailer. When you put the bed it, you have so much space to visit and walk around. At night, when you do not plan on having any more visitors, you put your bed down and you can tuck away for the night. Even with such a small travel trailer, you still get an acceptable passthrough storage, a tall outdoor storage, and an outdoor storage under the dinette. You have plenty of counter space, especially with the fold up extension. This is a quality build and built before COVID. The light hitch weight and overall weight make it a great little travel trailer to tow with a large SUV or 1/2 ton pick up. If you need more storage, put a rack on the back, and you are good to go. Stay away from Forest River Travel Trailers. Their customer service is awful. My brand new 2024 Forest River Cherokee Timberwolf 16ML, which is permanently parked, was delivered with the gray water (and black water) pipe broken and they won’t send someone out to fix it and they won’t pay the full bill to fix it. Here is my experience. 1. My brand new Forest River trailer was delivered with a broken dishwasher and broken gray water pipe which means the black water pipe is also broken because the gray water drains out the black water outlet; so, because the gray water pipe isn’t connected, there is a huge hole in the black water pipe. 2. The dealership gave me 3 numbers to call to get help because the trailer is under warranty because it is brand new, and I’m too far away from the dealership for them to fix it. I called each number several times but only 1 number answered and there were no voicemails to leave messages at the 2 that didn’t answer. The people that did answer the phone told me they couldn’t help and gave me a new number & email. (So this is contact #4 at this point.) 3. I emailed and called the new contact. The person who emailed me back told me they couldn’t help me (in all caps like a lunatic) and gave a different email (contact #5) which was supposed to be directly to the warranty people. 4. I sent 2 emails to the warranty email address & waited. & no one ever responded. 5. I looked on the Forest River website for a contact and it said call the dealership. 6. I called the dealership again. They gave me a 6th contact’s phone number and email. I sent an email (with pictures of the broken pipe) to explain the situation. Note: I also called but I dialed incorrectly and left a voicemail on a complete stranger’s phone. Whoops! But that nice stranger actual texted me the correct phone number 10 minutes later. I got better service from that stranger than anyone at Forest River. Sad. 7. Apparently, my email got forwarded around and after almost a week of waiting, a Forest River representative told me they can’t send a tech out and gave me a list of mechanics who “might” help. And the representative told me to review the warranty; so, I don’t violate some condition and can’t get reimbursed. 8. I reviewed the warranty & learned that the warranty won’t cover the full cost of the repair for a problem that existed when the brand new trailer was delivered to me. (Have I mentioned the trailer is new and has never been used? 😂) 9. I looked at the list of mechanics. The closest one is 60 miles away but most are 100+ miles away. No mechanic is going to travel 120 miles round trip to fix a pipe on a trailer. Recall: The trailer is permanently parked and the Forest River rep was told this repeatedly. 9. I reached back out to the Forest River rep and (and I was pretty irate at this point - so I wasn’t super nice - cuz I’m only human) explained I need a real solution that will actually fix the brand new Forest River trailer that was delivered to me broken. I explained no mechanic is going to travel 120 -200 miles (round trip) to fix the pipe on the brand new trailer. I also pointed out that it is ridiculous that Forest River will not pay for the entire repair cost. I asked for a real solution that will actually fix the brand new Forest River trailer that has never been used and can’t be used because it was delivered broken. Note: I’m not off the grid. I’m on the CA coast. 10. I got no response. None. 11. So I now have had a brand new Forest River trailer for almost 2 months that I cannot use and that has never been used because it was delivered to me broken & I am, of course, still paying for it. Do not buy from Forest River. They do not stand by their products or provide any customer service that will actually fix problems & their warranty is useless. You are throwing money away if you buy from Forest River. Show less
