electrical outlets could be dangerous. wires are push in and make contact only when insulation is pierced by pressing into metal tangs. no screws to tighten down on wires. can't believe they would do that. the fresh water inlet is lower than the tank inlet. hose must be held in place and a rag used to block the water from coming back out of the inlet. shower handles turn in opposite directions. that is completely anti-intutive. scalding is possible. cheap, cheap, cheap is the equipment and the engineering. tv antenna will not reach stations 50 miles or more away.

Went looking for an end of the year bargain on a new RV and ended up buying a new "2019" Sunseeker 3010DS. The 2018 we were looking at didn't have the full body paint I wanted but the dealer said they had a new 2019 coming in that did. I could have the 2019 at the same price plus for the paint so I did some research then put down my deposit and waited. Found out when finalizing the paperwork that the Ford portion is actually a 2018 model but the RV is a "2019" model. The only other hickup at delivery was we wanted the reclining couch which it didn't have even though we asked for it. Since these were not deal breakers we signed on the dotted line and drove off. Overall the fit and finish of the RV is OK. I wouldn't rate it as great. There are a lot of places where staples are visible holding veneer on in the interior that I had not noticed on the 2018 we looked at. The RTV sealant work on interior surfaces such as the shower and bathroom is pretty bad as far as cosmetics go. The RTV work on exterior things sticking through the roof is well done. The finish on the wood cabinets is OK but could be better. The exterior paint job I paid extra for is well done. After owning it a couple months and taking it on its first longish trip everything has worked fine and we've had only one serious functional issue. The water inlet hose to the fresh tank was kinked and we couldn't add water. The other problems were relatively minor; paint over the drivers side rear light over the power plug and the cargo bays under the coach were not sealed well. I mean they were seriously open to road dirt and grim from driving. I fixed the cargo bay seals with black RTV myself. At the same time I added some stainless steel floor panels to the bays to improve their appearance and wear resistance. The plastic is pretty thin and anything in there that slid around or shook during a long trip would probably wear through the floor quick. As far as the design goes, what we don't like is, well there isn't much or we wouldn't have bought this model. The one thing that has been a issue for us is you have to have the bedroom slide out in order to stock the bedroom because the cabinets/drawers are blocked. Since we have to street park having the slide hanging out over the sidewalk is a problem so we hurry up that part of our load out. The only other thing I would change design wise is the over the bed reading lights have a low and a flood setting and if you have it on low you have to put it on flood to turn it off. If you want to use it to get out of bed at night you can’t turn it off without turning on a very bright light. The dealer has been really helpful and responsive (Toscano in Los Banos Cal). They have addressed the things I’ve brought to them so no complaints there. We have had to go to Forest River with a couple of questions and their response has been poor to OK. I’m still waiting for an answer on the weight limit of the storage bays which is not in the literature or marked. They did respond within one day to my request for the model number (Pioneer AVH-X2800BS) of the front stereo after I misplaced it. Like all manufacturers the owners manual is pretty useless and figuring out things like how the TV’s are wired to hook up your own satellite system is impossible without their help or paying a dealer. The biggest complaint we have is that we were supposed to get a 2019 model year RV and what we got is a 2018. The paperwork says it’s a 2019 but it isn’t. There is more to it than the differences between a 2018 and 2019 ford chassis which are minor anyway. When we were deciding between the white 2018 on the lot ready to go and the "2019" with full body paint we did some research and found out the 2019 was suppose to have some upgrades that made it worth the while to wait, especially at a 2018 price. For example, we were told the 2019 would come with a lane departure warning system. Ours doesn't have that. We were also supposed to get a memory foam mattress which was standard in 2018 but optional in 2019. What we got is the 2019 standard Serta mattress that we've added a foam topper to because it just wasn't comfortable without one. As far as driving, we took it from central california to Las Vegas and saw some pretty strong winds which it handled well. Gas mileage without a toad was around 7 at 14,365 lbs, pretty close to the 14,500 max. Which is a big reason we went with the 3010 over the 3050. The 3050 floor plan empty weight is higher so we would have had less load capacity in the 3050. Ending on a positive note, what we really like about the 3010 is the overall layout when the slides are out. Plenty of room inside for the wife and our four dogs. The auto level system is great and easy to use. The amenities such as all LED lighting, awning speakers and built in entry steps are nice features. I just wish I had known it was not a full blooded 2018 or 2019 but was a hybrid.

Propane tank went bad, supposedly the sending unit, which indicates the amount in tank was bad, FR wouldn't cover that fix. Black tank flush valve broke apart, FR wouldn't cover that fix. Now we have air conditioning water leaking/running in places that we can't stop and the roof membrane is separating from the unit around the edges. Waiting to hear from service center on this problem. I wouldn't recommend to anyone to purchase a FR product especially a Sunseeker. Nice floor plan but terrible unit overall. Since FR is so big in the industry its hard not to purchase a product of theirs , the quality is just awful. We owned a FR travel trailer before this unit and had no problems, the more money we spent the more problems we have had.

Purchased RV in 2/16. Due to issue after issue with the new purchase and many, many times that I had to take it back for repairs got very little use out of it during the 2016 summer season. Have used it more extensively for 2017 season. After reading dozens of reviews on-line I concur with what the majority seem to say. The 3010DS RV has so much potential but the poor quality control and construction of this RV leaves a lot to be desired. So many minor problems when initially purchased and such poor response from dealership and Forest River that I ended up repairing issues many myself. Just returned from an extensive trip to the Oregon coast. Other than the excessive wind noise and rattling coming from the cabin entry door, which made it almost impossible to have a conversation or hear the radio, the trip was pleasurable and no new incidents until I returned home and was washing off the bugs. Found extensive outside cracking in the gel-coat/fiberglass on the passenger side upper bed area over the driver cab (where the marker light is). Response from Forest River is as expected. Nothing!!! Would not recommend Forest River product to anyone and have actually turned several people away when asked for an RV recommendation. Am so much more used to better service and follow-up when I have made other large purchases.

We have a double wide refrigerator with ice maker in the kitchen. We had a water leak for the first 18 months. The water would run along the cabinets and drip out by the door. This was while California was in a severe drought. Didn't look good! The coach spent more time at the dealership than at our house. The molding along the lower cabinet Is discolored and bowed. Have no idea how much mold is growing underneath. Was in contact with Forest River's west coast representative but he was ineffective. He does not travel so we couldn't even set up a meeting with him and the dealership. Now the condensation from the air conditioner must be leaking into the cabinet above the sofa as I have discovered wet food. Will not return to that dealer!

The only complain that I have is with the Jensen entertainment/GPS system. The GPS is totally worthless. I have to use a portable GPS from Garmin. Otherwise I am completely satisfied with my purchase and would recommend the Sunseeker 3010DS for recreational travel or full-time living.

We bought our coach 3 months ago. It\'s beautiful!! We were so excited. Our family of 7 took our first trip from GA to TX. We started noticing manufacturer flaws. Screws missing, lights not working, microwave collapsed, seal popped out, radio cut out, fridge door was broken, .. Had an entire list. Sent it in to be fixed after returning from our first trip. A little Over a month later, we went to pick it up even though the light wasn\'t p Repaired. My husband got in and the a/c wouldn\'t blow through the dash vents!! We left it. Another month and they still don\'t have it fixed. Forest River says it is fords fault, ford says it is forest rivers fault. All I know is that I have owned this RV for 3 months, but haven\'t been able to use it for over 8 weeks! My husband tried to call Friday, I tried to call today.. Going straight to FR.. Voicemails with on returned calls. I am livid. We plan to move out of our home and full time RV in three weeks! I still have no RV! I personally think FR needs to admit we got a lemon and send us a new one or make 2m worth of my payments!
