We bought this RV brand new and almost everything has gone wrong with it. Grey water tank cracked. Hot water and heater both went after only a year. Toilet started running water non stop had to replace it. All the pluming has leaked and had to be fixed. There is so many defects it would take me to long to write them all. This RV is so poor quality I wish we did not buy it. The last straw for me was when our bedroom floor was so soft we thought we were going to fall through. We got the repair guy in and he said it was probably leaking and it would be a 4,000 to repair. When he lifted the floor he found that there was no leak and they had put thin veneer board down. Not meant for floors. Do not buy Forest River you will regret it.

I have hade several issues with the Sandpiper 401 that I bought last year. The black water tank has been leaking since I bought the trailer., and is still leaking . The wall in the bedroom came loose from the studs. The awning arm was broken. The backsplash in the kitchen came loose from the wall. The screen door on the sliding door was 5 “ too short. The trailer is used as a summer home and is in a pole barn. I am currently dealing with the smell of the black water tank leaking in my floor. The dealer has been here 5 times to deal with it and the last time they were hear the installed a new one. It is leaking just as bad, and the wall is coming loose from the studs in the hall. I’m not a happy customer by any means! Wish I hadn’t bought this piece of shit.

I'm going to keep this review short. Om currently renting this trailer from the owner. Its set up on a on concrete residential backyard slab. Ots is the absolutely worst built piece of garbage you could buy. At over 100k to purchase brand new the amout of poor craftsmanship is appalling. The cabinets are so cheaply made, the floor is bowing and buckling on the bathroom and the insulation is almost non existent. In my life I've owned 7 RVs from truck campers to a class A motorhome so I'm giving my honest opinion. This trailer series is disgustingly built with only profits in mind and not the consumer.

We bought our park model in the spring of 2021 we had to have a couple thousand dollars worth of warranty work done and now we have 2 slides with rotted out floors, to the point that if you were to stand on the floor you would land in the grass!!! Our dealership was bought out by Camper World and they refuse to honor the 10 year warranty that the original dealer gave. I have contacted Forest River and they have basically told us that we are up creek without a paddle! Do not buy this junk :( I loved my camper and that is why I purchased it, but I will NEVER buy from them again!!

Do not buy this trailer. 3 months after getting it delivered and set up (it is permanently set up on blocks) the heater quit. In order to get it warrantied I would have to pay 500 dollars to get a service man to come out to look at it and then pay another 500 to get them to come back and put in a new one. It cost 450 dollars new, I put it in myself. 8 months after owning it, the roof started leaking. Again, 500 dollars to come look at it and then IF it was warrantied it would be 500 dollars per day to come up and work on it, estimated time, 5 to 8 days (2500-4000) for them to warranty it. I put down Flex seal liquid and sealed it up that way. The roof is touted as walk on, well if your under 100lbs maybe, I am 6'2" 220lbs and the roof always sounds like it is going to cave in when I walk on it. After 1 year you can see ever seam from the boards they used, it is supposed to be fiberglass re-inforced, that must be super thin then because it doesn't do anything. The floor in the living room area sits 3/4" above the cross member support under the floor so when you walk on it the entire area bounces and if you do it on purpose you can bounce things off the counters. I was getting a water leak around the air conditioner, I took it apart and discovered they hadn't tightened the screws down. There is a crush gasket between the trailer roof and the AC unit. You are supposed to tighten it till these taps JUST touch the roof. 3 of the 4 screws were finger tight. Amazed it didn't blow off when they delivered it. 1 year in and the Gel Coat on the outside is wearing through and you can see the fiberglass showing through. The interior trim is all popping loose so it bulges out. 2 of my double pain windows leaked (I fixed that with silicone sealant. The layout and livability is really nice as I live in this trailer full time. There is lots of roof and it doesn't feel like a tiny RV. Just wish they paid a LOT more attention to details and actually warrantied their stuff in a manner that didn't cost more than just getting it fixed yourself

2019 39br forest river cherokee limited. First glance loved the floor plan spacious and elegant. We bought it and spent two weeks in it close to where we bought it. First pull 15 miles first night noticed some issues. First we asked that it be cleaned before pickup and it was not saw dust still on vertical surfaces and metal flakes everywhere including embedded into the carpet. Keep in mind this wasn't used its brand new. Fireplace opened up a 1/4 inch gap at top and shower leaked because it wasn't caulked at the lower rail at all. I fixed all those issues and winterized the rv. After 7 months we decided to move it to Texas almost 1400 miles to set it at a permanent location. After set up there we found several water leaks a few pipes literally separated. The toilet valve had a hairline crack and the island faucet also had a hairline crack also fixed all that myself. Several days later the lines to the propane tanks blew the hoses off the barbed fittings so now I'm off to the parts store to get two new lines. Bottom line this is very poor craftsmanship. Also the a/c can't keep up past 75 degree weather. I expected a lot better after spending more than $40,000.00
