We have had problems from the beginning.Had to have the entrance
Door fixed, heater did not work properly, refridgerator did not work properly,.The floor stopper by refridgerator broke.
We had to buy extra batteries and solar to get the refridgerator to work. The refridgerator still doesn’t work properly-runs12-16 hours continuously and uses all the power. We have a generator but campgrounds don’t allow overnight use of generators. So our power is only about38% by morning. We like the other features but we are Very Disappointed with the refridgerator-contacted everyone Forest River had on the list- still not working properly. So we must make do. Very poor design-wrong type of refridgerator for the trailer. Our old trailer had a propane one and never had problems.

Do not buy! Right after we bought our camper, our refrigerator, furnace, air conditioner all went out. The dealer and Forest River were very challenging to deal with - replaced some but not all . We spent HOURS to get anything. Then our beautiful “pleather” recliners and couch started peeling - in a brand new RV!!! I was told that was due to the hot weather and that the dealer had it on the lot too long before we purchased and it wasn’t going to be covered. We take EXCELLENT care of our camper and it looks great - except for the seat covers we have on all of the peeling furniture (and now the bench seats too!). Our first camping trip this year - our outside lights don’t work. We had been told Forest River was a great camper. We do love the lay out, cabinets, and stainless appliances. Unfortunately camping becomes a reminder of all of the things wrong!

Bought this new and made many modifications along the way. We love the floor plan as we are able to fit in it comfortably. Its best described as cocktails for 6-8, Dinner for 4, and sleeping for 3-4.
We have slept as many as 5 with our teenage son and in-laws, but I had to modify the kitchen table to flip up and fit a cot along side.
Lots of seating (we have the table and chairs) with room to spread out. We have had 8 comfortably and been able to talk and all sit down without feeling cramped on rainy days.
I had issues towing it. LOTS of sway. almost all the storage in the trailer is in front of the axles. I had some weight issues because I like to pack heavy so some of it is on me. We never tow with anything in the tank. After the diet I still had an 1100 lb tongue weight even though the trailer weighs less than 7k. This forced us to move things from front storage to rear floor in order to compensate and back to storage to camp.
First thing we did was remove a bunch of stuff,
second was to use a different hitch and upgraded to a propride. Pricey, but really straightened things out for us.
After 3 yrs we upgraded to an F350 and now no issues at all. I weighed it MANY times and we were never over trailer max, but rear or truck was almost 400lbs over loaded to camp on the F150. We put about 20k miles on it with the F150 and 30k on it with the F350.
I patch the roof every year but we did have a leak in the front windshield after 4 years which only required some screw tightening after lots of diagnosing.
We enjoy the outside propane port for outdoor cooking, and use this for Starlink cable access out of the trailer now. We have worked remotely most summers traveling around on weekends for months at a time. The large awning is great to sit out in light weather when secured properly.
We had minor warranty issues (propane pigtails and regulator) that were not worth driving in for so I fixed them myself.
Major complaints to us have really been lack of storage in the kitchen, poor planning for weight distribution, and a rough tow at first. The awning is great, but not fun to clean dirt and mold of every year because its so large.

WE like camper as a whole. But lots of problems first time out was cooking on outside grill smelt gas we did get recall on Quick connect in gas line. Upon looking into leak found rubber gas line was not properly secured and ended up being almost cut completely in half could have been very serious. We took ownership last October got call in March to bring unit in for service I said what for we haven't used it yet come to find out shower pan was cracked no told us.Dealer said unit was gone through when it arrived to make sure everything works.Tried our air first time out in May that didn't work got it looked at they said it was wired wrong at thermostat but it still doesn't work. Drains in lavatory leaked at every joint fixed them myself. Not happy with service.

Enjoyable travel trailer overall but very poorly built.
Issues -
- outdoor speakers crackle - still cannot use them even after 2 dealers attempted to repair. It's been like that since new - speakers replaced,.. maybe the sterio unit is bad? I checked speaker wire connections.
- sink fell away from countertop - quite a surprise there - had to find a way to prop it up and gorilla glue it. Worked ok but some glue showing
- rear left light (brake, blinker, light) failed - needed to replace the entire led unit as it failed
- curtain fell off wall - need to put in an anchor and rescrew
-many blown fuses putting the slide in - dealer installed a resettable fuse to correct
Overall just feel like I bought something new and expensive and I got something made poorly. Warranty runs out and I'm left doing repairs myself or living with the problem.

I bought an Rv from Santa Paula RV May of 2022. That RV is a Forest River Salem Hemisphere 356QB. During the time that I had it, I had 3/4 slide outs leak. I've had a lower sweeper seal completely ripped off. I've had a water leak behind the wall of the bunkhouse leading into the back bathroom. I've had a water heater fire from poor placement of the 115v plug for the water heating element. The plug was placed directly under the shower drain on the deck. Water completely pooled around the plug in and caught fire. I've had studs try to poke through the rubber roof when walking on it (Im nowhere near the weight limit.) I've had so many issues that aren't even named here.
I finally was able to get repairs on the coach. Forest River honored my repairs that needed to be done. I had the RV delivered to Fontana CA for all repairs. The RV was turned in early May, and here I am heading into August. I've been in contact with the repair facility in Fontana as well as the parts department for Forest River.
Today I was notified that the Water Heater had arrived last week (finally.) Today, 25Jul2022 I learned that the water heater was damaged. Not because of the shipper, but because of the way the water heater was packaged. Today again, I contact the parts department to notify them of the damaged water heater that they pulled from their production department. The phone was answered and that person was laughing while she answered the phone. I'm fine with having fun in the work place, however, In a job where you provide customer service, that is the incorrect way to answer the phone. Then I hear cursing in the background and also it sounded like this woman was trying to impress her friends by the way she was talking to me. My time was wasted completely in this process. It sounded like the mailroom from the movie elf.. It's no wonder I've been waiting on my parts for so long. Their is zero accountability held. I asked to speak to the Manager who had worked out a deal to get me this broke water heater. She had immediately said that he was busy, trying to make me feel stupid.
I'm a full time RV'er as well as Active Duty Navy. Im not going to sit here and say that I'm special, but I obviously rely on this RV. I can say that if this were the case in my workplace I would certainly get hemmed up for it. I've had nothing but a negative experience with Forest River. Forest River does not supply proper quality assurance walk around so prior to sending these units out. The entire organization or company is a complete joke. I will never buy another Forest River product. No person should have to rely on a company who has owned a system that just doesn't work. The people don't work either and do not care about you. They've already gotten your money. Don't waste your time. Buyers beware. These people don’t even deserve a star.
