We purchased our Luxury Surveyor straight from the factory. We used it for state park camping due to it size and configuration. Further, we snowbird in the unit from November through April. The unit travels well behind a Silverado 1500. The weight of the trailer makes it very towable. The unit quality is much like other units since most of the parts and assemblies is made by Lippert Inc. We upgraded the tires and air conditioner, but overall very satisfied with the unit. For a couple, I would highly recommend the unit based off quality and “best for the money.” Show less

The 35 ft 5th wheel tows easily. Like all RVs, the factory delivers them to the owner with flaws (unfinished work, poorly installed part and pieces, so.over the course of time the warrenty has helped solve these problems and Forest River was easy to work with and without hesitation, enabled repairs. The Sierra is a reliable RV with well thought out amenities, making for fun adventures! Show less

I purchased this RV used in Jan of 2022 and bought the best extended warranty offered. The RV was rife with issues. The plumbing is shoddy at best. The fittings are plastic and the cheap plumbing hoses were used. I replaced with brass fittings and PEX lines as the numerous leaks were identified. The slideouts busted the trim around them due to poor calibration or manufacturer defects. The slideouts apparently leaked into the subfloor and rotted it out. The dealership refused to repair the flooring. I have noticed on numerous legal sites and RV sites that slideouts leaking, even on new ones, is a MAJOR and CONSISTENT problem. Show less

We bought this RV brand new and almost everything has gone wrong with it. Grey water tank cracked. Hot water and heater both went after only a year. Toilet started running water non stop had to replace it. All the pluming has leaked and had to be fixed. There is so many defects it would take me to long to write them all. This RV is so poor quality I wish we did not buy it. The last straw for me was when our bedroom floor was so soft we thought we were going to fall through. We got the repair guy in and he said it was probably leaking and it would be a 4,000 to repair. When he lifted the floor he found that there was no leak and they had put thin veneer board down. Not meant for floors. Do not buy Forest River you will regret it. Show less

All these campers look the same....BORING....until I found this gem. This is a true couple coach. Perfect for 2 people and a dog. Don't bother thinking anyone will ever sleep on that pull out couch. I love the floor plan. The kitchen is large and useable, especially on inside days. Is it perfect, no, show me a camper that is at this price point. It feels like my second home when I'm in it. What I would change? Bedroom needs a slide, it's cramped to walk around the bed. Livingroom needs a fireplace, I fixed that myself. Campers need to get rid of the ovens, who the heck is using the oven??? The outdoor kitchen is a bit of a waste, I'm going to remove the grill and put a cutting board there, we always bring our blackstone anyways. The carpet needs to go. Needs a bigger fridge. more windows. Mine is missing the soundbar remote, GOOD LUCK finding one, apparently these soundbar remotes are lost somewhere with the arc in the birmuda triangle. Even the manufacture can't find one. We have stayed in our surveyor for weeks at a time and were perfectly comfortable. No mechanical issues other than ones I caused. Show less

We bought our destination trailer at Camping World in Roseville, Ca. It is July and very hot here. The AC in the kitchen/ living room doesn’t work. We called Camping World and the service person said that “these units only cool 20 degrees cooler than it is outside “. So if it’s 110 outside, the best they do is 90 degrees inside. Thats total BS because the bedroom ac unit is way cooler. Also, they told us if we want it looked at we have to “bring it in”. They should come out as this is a huge unit and it’s parked in the pines. That’s not customer service. We had to go buy a fan while we try to find a mobile RV person to help us. Show less

Awesome camper that I lived out of for three years in Montana. I will miss it. The experience was like no other. My wife, my dog, and myself all made it together almost two years and allowed us to explore Montana while living cheaply and simple. Show less

We purchased a Forest River Sierra 3440BH In June of 2023, New never been used and some areas still had the fresh smell of new. We loved the floor plan, as we have 2 teenagers, and about to have our first grandchild from 1 of our boys, so it certainly will work for sleeping arrangements. Now for the best part, got it home and winterized it as camping season was over for us. We hooked up the propane and kept the tank heaters on and keep the indoor temp at 55 degrees. In March we de-winterized and begin to set things up for camping season. Well we found a lest of 19 items that were warranties' and the list goes on. To start the trim is peeling off the cabinets, screen doors are broke, toilets leaked water, sinks leak, bed trim fell off, black tank valve is stuck shut (can not use read bath room at all due to leaks and toilet/ tank), always smell like sewer, awing is falling off, curtains put on awkward or uneven, NO BRAKES! If i was to guess i would say a bunch of 5 year old put this camper together, unfortunately for us we can not take the camper back for LEMON LAWS as the do not apply. But this thing has to spend at least 2-3 months at the dealership to get repairs done for the warranty to work, all the parts have to come from the dealership. I WOULD NEVER IN THE REST OF MY GRANDCHILDS LIFETIME RECOMMEND THIS BRAND TO ANYONE PERIOD. Show less

This RV is exceptional! The space is great for multiple people, the balance is awesome and makes the towing experience seamless. The full size refrigerator and stove is really nice for cooking meals and there is a TON of storage space with this RV. I really love this RV. Show less

2016 Sierra 393RL Destination Trailer-A beautiful unit, lot of window, spacious layout, perfect destination home. Unfortunately the rest of the story is not so nice. We opened our unit in May and immediately noticed the dreaded mold smell. Seems like it was coming from the corner of the front slide. Water runs down the slide onto the exterior edge of the floor which is covered with a plastic which has holes due to UV exposure and traps water inside, poor design. While lifting the carpet in the front section under the couch, her foot stepped through the floor, both sides next to the slides are severely rotted. The water is trapped between the flooring where it can sit forever. This is not visible from the interior or exterior unless you were to take the unit apart. Bad design, will be an extremely expensive repair. Would not purchase a Forest River ever again. Show less
