The layout is nice. Here’s the truth that I wish I knew before I bought it. The company doesn’t care to help you at all with all the issues you will have. The craftsmanship is terrible. We had to add support to all the pantry shelves, rebuild the drawers under the dinette, fix numerous nails sticking out. Etc. It is in the shop now having the slide fixed 2 months out of warranty and Forest River doesn’t care to help out. This is the 3rd time I have had to have things repaired that I didn’t repair myself. Forest River doesn’t care about the quality or craftsmanship. I wish I would have done more research and went a different direction.

got this 26 dbh grey wolf trailer new from my local dealer for use as my wife liked the layout and we needed it for a place to live. towing it was a night mare bolts for the axle springs kept lossening and working out and had to be retightened every few miles, once parked found out tha the slide had managed to work its way out and was jammed and all the exterior doors were jammed shut, once the doors were opened they would no longer line up to shut and were even harder to shut , eventually they would no longer shut after a month and completely separated and fell apart, as for the plumbing there are leaks thru the whole system, water pump keeps running every 20 seconds due to a new leak developing every day , the ouside kitchen the fridge doesnt get cold and eventually quite working , all this in only 4 months, the dealer is wonderful and promptly comes out to do the repairs and submits to the waranty for everything, the problem is warranty takes forever to take care of any issue. problems that were first notice when first bought are just now getting taken care of after 4 months . i would not reccomend this trailer or brand due to the quality and craftmanship. this is the fourth rv trailer i have bought and i have had more issues than the others combined, and apparrently others have had the same eperience with this brand on other forrest river products they have bought

This the second rv I have bought brand new, and the first with Forest River. I find they are all cheaply made with poor manufacturing. My plug-in for the microwave worked temporarily on and off and then quit completely within a month. The fan in the bathroom quit completely after 6 months. If the grey water tank gets filled, it isnt that it will overflow in the sinks, apparently there is no top to it as if leaks onto the floor in the bathroom. Do you put ANY insulation in them at all? I had it for 4 mos when I stayed okc for a month, the AC blew cold and string, but apparently there is a way for it to escape as it stayed 80 degrees in there during the day. The faucet in the kitchen has leaked since day one. For a $30,000 "live in" space, this is not just a waste if money, but you expect to have a nice place to stay in, you won't.

!!! BUYER BEWARE!!! Bought this trailer about a year ago. Every time we took it out there was another problem! First the propane was leaking at the connectors. There was no o rings in there. I fixed that so we could have heat. Then the trim and cabinet panels all kept falling off there weren’t enough staples. Then the kitchen plumbing started leaking but I didn’t notice until the bottom of the cabinets started to swell. Next was the water pump getting disconnected the bathroom sink leaked then the toilet started leaking every time we flushed it. We went out one day and came back to notice our campsite was flooded! We finally found the leak and it was the connector came off from the water heater to the shower. We put the trailer in storage until we could find time for them to Fix everything and when we got it out the kitchen faucet had broken off. The outdoor kitchen is not sealed so whatever your cooking the smell or smoke goes right into the trailer smoking everyone out. The last time we took it out it was raining and the bunk windows were leaking. I’m not sure how because it looked like they used a whole tube of caulking per window. If the trailer had been built with quality it would be a nice trailer but it was just one thing after another. We traded it in for a better trailer that was not any Forest River product. The warranty department was nice and they took care of me but they were weird hours. I think the company is okay just their trailers are terrible and I will never buy a freest River ever again. Even if I was given one I’d sell it immediately and buy something else.

Purchased a 2021 In late 2020. Trailer towes much smother than the Jayco hybrid we previously had. I can concur that build quality is not as sharp as I would I like, but this as a camper made on the cheapest PO's won buy product suppliers. I believe they did a great job producing a well built camper, with the weight it has. Just beware that trim lines are not completely smooth, the roof edge line is off on laminate tongue and groove joints, and there are zero power plugs on the slide.
Now, my service side of the camper. I have had the following already go bad in less than a year. Water heater exhausted fumes in the camper. Stated the exhaust seal was not correct. This is a bid deal but addressed. Some bolts that hold the cable drive plates on the slide sheared off. Not sure how they fixed, but done. Small area of the slide didn't have silicone allowing a small water mark under the slides underbelly. And the biggest, when rolling up the awning after a great weekend, the drive motor drive shift snapped in half, allowing the one side to drop on a table and swing bending the main roller and one side arm. I had a friend who owns a Machine shop make the drive pin out of a better metal and back in working order. They did not cover the roller under warranty as they said it still worked.

We bought our Grey Wolf 27DBH BL in June, 2021. We have been on 12 camping trips that equal to 38 nights. Thank the Lord our camper has had no major issues. Our Ice maker went out after the second trip and was promptly replaced under warranty. Just recently I noticed that a screw was missing on the roller bracket on the awning and our toilet had a fresh water leak. I made an appointment with my dealer and they are going to fix under warranty. My dealer has a great reputation and has me scheduled for pickup
By mid-next week. So far they have been great. I really think that when buying a camper, one should buy from a dealer like Welcome Back in Athens, Texas. Before they deliver a trailer, they make sure it’s ready to go and all systems work. We have been very pleased with Forest River Grey Wolf and our dealer.

This was my families first RV, and I can say we did some extensive research into floorplans, models, and manufactures. We also did our homework into reviews and took into consideration customer satisfaction. We eventually settled on our Cherokee Alfa-Wolf 26DBH-L.
Not being able to find it anywhere in Oregon for under $47K, we bought it from a wholesaler in Ohio for $31K delivered, which we had a good experience with.
The first day we received the trailer we knew we were going to be dealing with material durability and quality control issues.
The trailer is visibly appealing, we really like the look of the trailer, have had no issues towing it, and it has many options we could not find with other trailer manufactures.
It comes with junk tires (Castle Rock), with many reporting tire tread separation under 1000 miles. Consider putting on good quality tires to avoid blow outs and damage to your new trailer.
Delivery:
The trailer skirt on the left side had minimal support so upon delivery we had a cracked side skirt from top to bottom. One marker light was never connected to the wire loom, another marker light on the back did not work. Upon inspection under the front storage compartment there was a cracked support beam where they screwed threw a knot in the wood and did not replace. Throughout the trailer was sawdust, metal shavings, and extra screws all throughout the trailer. The bathroom wall panels were separating from one side of the shower. There was a stripped support bolt under the couch which was just left and not replaced.
When you spend $31K on a trailer, you expect to receive a clean trailer with no damages. The above issues were clearly obvious and had there been quality control (QC) in place or had the dealer actually walked through to perform trailer prep, these issues would have been plainly obvious to the eye. This was a reputable dealer. Maybe this is normal for RV dealers, don’t know, not impressed.
All issues have been addressed with the dealer and are in the process of being repaired.
Warranty:
What I have noticed with Forest River after reading their warranty is they are trying to avoid any responsibility with their trailers. They will require you to go through the warranty process with the manufacturer of the specific appliance/ part. (This might be normal for RV manufacturer's, do not know since this is our first). They only warranty their seals for 90 days.
This didn't sit well with me, so I went and purchased the Good Sam extended Service plan for peace of mind, well worth it.
We did hear in other reviews the biggest issues such as the plumbing leaking, fridge leaking/ being noisy, microwave/ fireplace fuse blowing. We have not experienced these issues. Although the fridge is not quite by any means, it does not keep us up at night.
The support flanges on the refrigerator were too long and prevented the door seal's from a full seal. This may cause leaking, it’s easy to grind them down. (Another quality control issue in my opinion).
The shower/tub pan does not feel very sturdy to me. Although I don’t plan on showering in it other than the children. I’m going to look into how to add support to it. It also looks like you will need to seal the wall panels to the tub pan with silicone or caulking, or there will be certain water leakage.
Overall, my family is pleased with the trailer, we are optimistic that we will have years of fun traveling with it. But it is clear Forest River is interested in slapping these trailers together as fast as they can with minimal/no QC in the process. If there was QC, they need to be fired and the company needs to improve their product delivery to its customers who pay good money for their product.
While your warranty is ticking away, I would recommend you familiarize yourself, run all components, and use the trailer hard to recognize any future issue, then replace and/or fix the issue under warranty.
It was explained to me that trailers are basically made from the same materials and made to be extremely light, because if they were home quality materials, you'd be pulling a house, so true. I would also suppose if you were living in the trailer full time you would have issues with longevity (These RV's are not intended to be lived in full time). These are recreational trailers intended to be used for recreational purposes! I guess we need to keep that in mind when we are reviewing these RV's.
Overall we are satisfied with the RV, our only concern as stated above is the QC and the durability of some materials.
