Forest River 3011DS Ford Class C reviews

I have owned four RVs this is by far the biggest piece of junk. I’ve had problems with the generator from the start had it to general RV, camping world lazy days of Fort Pierce finally lazy days of Seffner Florida figured out there was an oil leak and kept running low on oil but now still does not run both ACs at the same time called the factory because the paint is peeling on the outside and the cabinets are all peeling on the inside. It’s a 2023 with only 16,000 miles on it. Factory said it’s out of warranty too bad never buy another one Buyer beware Show less

I bought this motorhome in May 2024. I have stayed at 33 campgrounds in 18 states. I have lived in it full time for 2 months now, and it has been very much a home for me. The bedroom is large enough to live in with plenty of storage. This thing has so much storage in the cabin and underneath I am not even remotely close to using it all. Show less

We've used this RV for a few years now. It runs excellent and the open floor plan and lots and lots of storage is fantastic!! We had plenty of room to put in 2 normal full size queen mattresses which are much better than the standard RV-type mattresses. Everything just works and living in it for long vacations is wonderful. Never leaked during rain storms, etc, and plenty of hot water. Really like that the frig and freezer keeps working with the electric goes out as it works on propane as well. No food spoilage! Water heater works on both propane and electric as well, so we have hot water and hot showers even if there's no electric hookup. Really love the internal 4,000 watt generator that starts up at the push of a button if electric hookup is not working for long periods of time or boon docking. :) Show less

I have my 3011DS since mid May 2022. It has had so many problems that it has been in for repairs for more time than I have had to use it in the 7 months. Now both A/C units won't come on and I am stuck getting it repaired again. The tech thinks it could be the power converter, but who knows. I hate this hunk of junk. As soon as I can it it home I will be selling it. NEVER AGAIN FOREST RIVER WILL I BUY YOUR PRODUCTS. YOU SELL GARBAGE!! LET THE BUYER BE WERE. Show less

This RV is beautiful, and functional. Easy to drive, easy to back into a spot with backup and side cameras. It has all the special features that make camping easy. Plus the Thomas Payne Recliners are so comfortable! And the queen mattress in the bedroom is upgraded, a nice firm gel mattress! Show less

I have emailed many time about the unit and have talked with the manager Cody a few times. No one has gotten back to me. I would say customer service is not there strong point nor is wanting to sell rv's. I would ask to speak to the manager but having done so this is only a place to window shop at. Show less

We purchased this RV new. The floor plan is very inviting, lots of room. The theater seating is very comfortable. We drove cross county with this RV and having the self contained was great as we didn’t need to get out if the weather was not so friendly. The ride is like riding in a car with the air shocks. Very easy to set up, within 20 min. Having they large tanks gave the ability to stay in national parks and still have all amenities. Matriculate care inside and out always serviced by the RV dealer and they have always taken great care of us. We have been campers for many years, this being our 2nd Class C and my favorite. Since the day we bought this it has been nothing but problems!One thing after a another air conditioner,refrigerator(countless times been in for service),electrical(kitchen lightssometimes work,but If you bang on it will light,that's safe) ,bedroom shade always falls down,slide not working ,water pump leaking and rotted the wood. And many more ITS THE MOTOR HOME THAT MONKEYS BUILT!!!! THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT!!DO NOT BUY!!! We just want restitution for this over priced piece of junk Show less

Recently took delivery of the Forester 3011 floor plan. This is a very spacious floorplan. We purchased and desired a unit with the trekker-cap option in place of a cab-over bunk. We experienced a few little hiccups - the bigone being a small leak near the door that damaged the corner of a cabinet. I did not notice this during my delivery. I repaired the leak with a trip up the ladder to meet my roof and I introduced it to some fresh Dicor lap sealant. The feedback I am receiving so far from FR and the dealer has been good on repairing the minor damage to the cabinet. That's all we can ask for but I wish the dealer would have seen this when they took delivery. The unit handles and drives very well. Show less

Drove through 36 states, did not tow, coach easy to drive and can park and get into most places. Great rv for 2 people. Not crazy about putting air in duel tires. Cushions in dining area could use a few more inches of padding. Show less
