So far I have either made all repairs myself or hired out the repairs. First year 2022 1. No seals on the kitchen refrigerator/fireplace slide out. When I closed up the unit for winter I could see the grass outside on each corner of the slide out. Repair by the dealer. 2. No hole cut for the bedroom door deadbolt in the door frame. I had to router the aluminum frame myself to get it to actually work. 3. The floor under the recliner and table fell out when I closed the slides. Repaired by the dealer. 4. Checked RV first winter to find squirrels living in it. Found holes for water/drain lines not spray foamed on bottom of frame. Fixed myself, no more squirrels. 5. Kitchen faucet was leaking, not properly installed, fixed it myself. Second year 6. Had mice inside water heater compartment, not inside the RV. Found unsealed holes behind the water heater I had to use my cell phone camera to see. Spray foamed myself. 7. I used FLEX SEAL tape make gaskets around the hydraulic rams where they penetrate the frame to keep mice from getting in the under belly pan. 8. FACTORY is horrible and will not return phone calls. Where to start is the real question? Okay so i bought my place in October 2 weeks in the slide out started leaking and finally got that addressed poor caulking was the cause plus my washer feels like its going to shake the place apart. So after that about a month in another slide out starts leaking the repair guy told me there wasnt any caulking at all then told me he caulked around the window that i need to watch in carefully he was worried about it that was all in the first month fast forward to the present time my washer still isn't fixed my shower head is leaking my bathroom faucet is leaking and to top the cake there is a large amount of mold under my bed that i just found not to mention it looks put together like a 5 year old did it cheap crappy materials and they charge 73000 for this i am so displeased and unhappy with my purchase but was basically told i am sh*** out of luck i could trade it in but i wont get what i paid this was a mont after buying because it deprecated in value i live in this with my 2 boys and ol lady we have a baby coming possibly next week and i have mold where were gonna sleep worst purchase i ever made but like i was told i am stuck with it Show less

Beautiful and functional! We love the full size refrigerator and bathroom! The washer and dryer is a game changer for trips! We added wider steps to the door so it is easier to enter and exit. The app and electronics of the trailer are convenient and work like a charm! The sofa makes into a comfortable bed and still leaves room to move! Lighting and fireplace sets a great ambience and makes you feel like you are at home! This is an excellent buy for a beautiful home-away-from-home! Show less

We bought this RV brand new and almost everything has gone wrong with it. Grey water tank cracked. Hot water and heater both went after only a year. Toilet started running water non stop had to replace it. All the pluming has leaked and had to be fixed. There is so many defects it would take me to long to write them all. This RV is so poor quality I wish we did not buy it. The last straw for me was when our bedroom floor was so soft we thought we were going to fall through. We got the repair guy in and he said it was probably leaking and it would be a 4,000 to repair. When he lifted the floor he found that there was no leak and they had put thin veneer board down. Not meant for floors. Do not buy Forest River you will regret it. Show less

Horrible. Anyone who buys a Forest river product must be insane. I wish someone would have written the review I am writing now prior to my purchase. As a Berkshire Hathaway shareholder I was excited to purchase from one of our companies. This thought was a mistake. The plywood floor on the slide out is about to fall in and their customer service is horrible. 1 year warranty??? No wonder. Berkshire should sale this company immediately before a class action lawsuit happens. I would not recommend purchasing any forest river products. You will be sorry very soon after purchasing. I actually feel sorry for dealers selling their products. This company will probably not be in business much longer given the poor quality of materials and workmanship. We had one and sold it 10 years ago… took me 8 years to find another one! Love the space, storage and large bedroom in 5he back with a door off the bedroom! I have no complaints! We are very comfortable and is perfect to live in full time! We are snow birds and live in Florida for 8-9 months and in this foe the Summers…perfect Show less

We bought our destination trailer at Camping World in Roseville, Ca. It is July and very hot here. The AC in the kitchen/ living room doesn’t work. We called Camping World and the service person said that “these units only cool 20 degrees cooler than it is outside “. So if it’s 110 outside, the best they do is 90 degrees inside. Thats total BS because the bedroom ac unit is way cooler. Also, they told us if we want it looked at we have to “bring it in”. They should come out as this is a huge unit and it’s parked in the pines. That’s not customer service. We had to go buy a fan while we try to find a mobile RV person to help us. Show less

One day after the camper was set on our permanent spot we noticed the floor was separating. My husband called the dealer and someone came to look at it. The only thing that the warranty would allow for repairs was to sand the plywood section that was sticking up. The repair man said that the plywood was actually breaking apart, but Salem won’t replace it. We now have two other spots in our floor that are doing the same thing. In addition to this, the shelving in the pantry is falling apart and the shelves are falling. We only have spices on these shelves. This camper is a year old. Disappointed in the quality of this camper, and incredibly disappointed in the lack of cooperation with the warranty. Show less

I have hade several issues with the Sandpiper 401 that I bought last year. The black water tank has been leaking since I bought the trailer., and is still leaking . The wall in the bedroom came loose from the studs. The awning arm was broken. The backsplash in the kitchen came loose from the wall. The screen door on the sliding door was 5 “ too short. The trailer is used as a summer home and is in a pole barn. I am currently dealing with the smell of the black water tank leaking in my floor. The dealer has been here 5 times to deal with it and the last time they were hear the installed a new one. It is leaking just as bad, and the wall is coming loose from the studs in the hall. I’m not a happy customer by any means! Wish I hadn’t bought this piece of shit. Show less
