This camper is a complete nightmare. We purchased it brand new in 2022 and were blinded by how "beautiful" it was. We were naive new camper owners who did not know what to look for. Every time we go camping, something breaks or falls apart. Tons of trouble with electrical components in the camper, none of the USB ports work on the inside, and some of the outlets do not work. The buttons for the electric jacks have broken 3 times in the 3 years we've had the camper. The awning is coming unattached on one side. The shower has leaked out the corner of the floor since the first time we used it. The biggest issue that we have run into is that the storage compartment door on the underbelly storage was installed incorrectly from the manufacturer (according to a service tech who looked at it) which caused a leak. The leak has now caused floor rot. We got a quote to fix this and it was quoted to us at $8000. This is INSANE! When I reached out to Forest River about getting this replaced as it was due to faulty install/manufacturing, they stated that because the warranty was over there was nothing they can do. They do NOT back their brand and they do NOT care about customer service. Run far, far away before ever purchasing a Forest River. Show less

Great floor plan for families. Love the panoramic windows and huge slide out. Tires should be replaced as they are not safe. Spacious bunk room for kids and private front bedroom. Our s has the 15000 btu air conditioning, which I would highly recommend in rv this size. Show less

Custom ordered unit in 2020, picked up in 2021. From the get-go we had issues. Items added to order were not added when it arrived the dealer had to add them on site, the fit and finish was horrible, door and cabinets did not open and or close correctly, main entrance door didn't lock (the holes didn't line up). after 3 months the slide out started making noises like it was going to fall out of the camper, the front lower facia started coming off on the bottom, the propane tanks were leaking. there were Mutiple water line leaks. took it into the dealer didn't have it for almost 4 months, had to reseal multiple windows. 3 years in we opened it up after winter. did our inspection and there were multiple cracks in the roof seals. resealed them took to dealer reached out to Forest River. Should not have to completely reseal a roof on a 3 year old unit. Forest River kindly told me pound salt that the roof is my issue. FFW sitting in camper notice an odd looking spot on master bedroom wall, poke it finger goes through. open wall up entire master bedroom ceiling and walls are covered in back mold. unit had been leaking for a long time. Took back to dealer opened case with Forest River, again forest river states that I didn't do inspections on it in the time I owned it and it's my fault. Inspections we performed 3 times a year or else I wouldn't have found the need to start resealing windows. Unit is not a giant lawn ornament. I DO NOT RECCOMEND PURCHASING ON! Show less

After owning my forest river salem cruise lite for 2 and 1/2 years my slideout failed and would not go back out. It was also digging into the floor. After talking to lippert and forest river on parts and manufacturing both sides blamed each other. No one would take responsibility and just blamed me for failed systems. I had nothing to do with the assembly or parts of camper but Dean Blylee of forest river said it was my fault cause I used my camper too much. I would not recommend buying a forest river camper because it has cost me 4500.00 to fix just the slide after going camping 8 times in it. They will prob respond to this but they really do not care. As the owner of my own business I am glad that I do not treat people this way. All they care about is money not people they deal with. Sad sad business to be in. I will be putting a different slide system on my unit and will never deal with any of these companies again and I suggest you do not either. Show less

This is a terrible rv. Do not buy. After owning it for two years, the slide strips out gears and is costing me 4000.00 to fix. I would have never bought and will never buy forest river product again. Microwave went out within that time and will not stay cool. I sure wish I could run my business like this. Ohh wait I wouldn’t have a business if I ran it like this. Show less

We purchased this trailer in April 2021 and upon our first outing (Memorial Day weekend), the kitchen sink and toilet leaked everywhere. Took it to dealership for fixing. Second outing we noticed the trim around the bedroom door coming off from the wall, the shower lining coming off from the wall and several seams bubbling as well. 3rd and 4th outings, toilet leaked again - this was all within one summer and 4 total outings. Took it in in the fall for fixing and winterization. Dealership ordered the wrong part for the door trim, so that didn’t get fixed. Said they would call when the part came in but they never did. That brings us to this years camping season- 1st outing the sink and toilet leak, door trim still not fixed, 2nd putting we start to have issues with the slide and now have nails sticking up through the flooring, 3rd outing the leaks continue, the slide gets worse and the inlet hose to the fresh water tank has a severe leak. Call to get it into the shop but they are a couple months out. 4th and final outing, the slide completely stops working and has to be manually pushed back in but will not go all the way in on the button right side. Finally our appointment comes and we are told that nothing is covered under the EXTENDED warranty that we purchased and it will be at least $5000 to fix everything. I have never been more disgusting with a product, especially after paying $32k for it. The craftsmanship is atrocious and the warranty is a complete waste of money. We will never purchase any camper affiliated with Forest River again. Show less

I have owned this motorhome since I bought it new in 2019. I have driven it from Seattle to Disney World, and to the national parks of Utah, Colorado, Wyoming and Montana and many places in between. I have 37k miles on it and have lived in it since shortly after I bought it. As far as manufacturing and assembly, all the important pieces work well except for the refrigerator. When it was a few months old, we had a torrential rainstorm in Salt Lake City and the refrigerator outside panel was not installed properly. As a result water poured into the refrigerator workings and it was damaged. After warranty repair, it works acceptably but ice cream will get a little soft in very hot weather. Other than that, a few small trim pieces in the coach were not installed correctly. I have had no other issues with the generator, the furnace, the two wonderful air conditioners, and the three TV's which are Furion. They have excellent pictures and one is very large. I tow a Jeep Cherokee Trail Hawk behind it and it does fine. I have had no suspension work on it and I find it very controllable. The only time I get white knuckles is when I am going over a narrow bridge with opposing traffic. The motorhome is wider than some of the lanes on county roads and it is tight on some state highways. I read about people who have all kinds of trouble but I think it is just like buying anything, some people are not lucky, and some people are. I replaced the king mattress that came with it with a memory cell mattress, and I sleep very well in it. I have two big dogs, and they have plenty of room to stretch out. I love my FR3 and it works great as a home I can go almost anywhere in. I would highly recommend it for its relatively low price and its reliability, as well as its comfort. Show less

We bought this TT a couple mnths ago brand new. And it has been back to the dealership 2 times already either is was poorly put together or the dealership sucked really bad maintaining it. We have had electrical issues. Our shower pan was cracked upon inspection and dealership replaced it. Leaked into main area. Led lites Falling already. I am very disappointed 😞. I love this camper and floor plan. But it has so many flaws. Show less

I read some saying the quality isn't that good, you need to realize these trailers are built to be lite. That said we love our toy hauler, we don't haul any toys in it other than bicycles, we got it for the room. Nothing worse than being cramped up in a trailer in bad weather. I've been down dirt roads with mine and take it real easy traveling and then I see people flying down these roads and there probably the one's complaining the doors come loose and so on. I take our trailer into the dealer every year and let them do a check on the whole thing, so if you take care of it, these trailers will last you. If you want great cabinetry and really good quality than you better plan on spending 60 grand or more. Show less
