2016 Forest River Class B reviews

This RV has an excellent floor plan. Well thought out floor with efficient use of space. Lots of storage inside and out. The outside storage has lots of sections to fit different sized equipment. Upgraded finishes and love the skylight in master Bathroom! Both bathroom feel roomy.The RV I was in had tole flooring which I loved. Very easy to clean. Easy to set up and take down. The front area is well thought out and quite roomy. I like the 2 options for window shades. One well made to block the sun. Other shade is room darkening and for privacy. Show less

Overall a nice rv. AC is a bit loud 15K/hp. Had a few minor issues typical of all brands of rv. Perfect for me and the wife. Levelers, full paint, v-10 engine, 6 speed tranny. Watch for the fake leather to peel. I replaced my theater seats with Thomas Payne cloth seats. Show less

Easy to drive, 24 ft RV is fully self-contained and easy to operate. It’s great on gas mileage and runs on diesel fuel. This unit is excellent for first-time RV’ers or experienced travelers. It fits in a standard parking space. It is a perfect size, allowed in all CA State Parks and all National Parks. Only 10-15 minutes to set up. Features cab seats that rotate to provide more seating. There is central heating, A/C, a stereo system, a TV entertainment system over the bunk bed, and a second TV in the bedroom. Show less

This RV is beautiful, and functional. Easy to drive, easy to back into a spot with backup and side cameras. It has all the special features that make camping easy. Plus the Thomas Payne Recliners are so comfortable! And the queen mattress in the bedroom is upgraded, a nice firm gel mattress! Show less

We traveled 6 hrs to look at this today because we were told that there wasn’t anything wrong with it and it wouldn’t need tires until next season.. he failed to tell us it needed tires now, a generator and a whole new roof on it and maybe a battery.. bad business!! Show less

It is just the right size for 2 people. I like the extra storage above the cab vs a sleeping loft as we don't need the extra sleeping space. I love the extra large television. I like having a screened door. It is nice having the lavatory sink outside the bathroom so two people can get prepped at the same time. It is so easy to drive and maneuver through traffic. We tow a 4 door Sahara Jeep Limited with no problem at all.hings I don't like? I would like an indicator for traffic coming along side us. Can't think of any other things I would change about it. omg every time i go somewhere something or things break. drawers flying open(tore up the cabinetry one time), fridge acts up, cap on the sewer outlet breaks and falls off, beauty rim flies off on the freeway( which are not reasonably available), one night we got locked in the coach because the door latch assembly broke inside, the leather seats are crumbling apart, i am now working on replacing stripped out mounting screws on passenger and drivers side entry door steps that were mounted unbelievably poor, the motor for the coach entry step, fuses on the water heater...... it goes on and on folks! it does drive like a dream though. gotta give it that. looses a marked amount of fuel mileage towing a 1200lb. boat. and what the hell is up with those emissions monitors mr. mercedes? took 3,000 miles for 1 monitor to turn on so i could get it smoged. THAT drove me outa my mind. Show less

Love this floor plan. The dinette and sofa are across from each other and up front by driver and passenger seats so great when entertaining guests. Great having stackable W/D. Love the full length dresser in bedroom and extra large closet as well as the King size bed. Living area is very spacious. We are able to put a coffee table infront of sofa, a footstool in front of one of the chairs and a small end table next between the drivers seat and sofa and still have plenty of room to walk around and makes it very homey. Also we like having the large windows over dining table (the later models have a TV between two small windows over dinette) and the sofa areas. Extra large stainless steel sink in kitchen is really nice and the residential Refrigerator with icemaker is a plus. Cons is the Atwood hot water system as we have to run and waste alot of water before we get hot water. Weve had to replace the low flow faucets with faster flowing faucets to improve the flow of water and get more and faster hot water when showering. Another con is the window next to co-pilot (passenger) seat. It is designed so there is a bar at passenger eye level so unless you're very tall you can not get a good view out the window. This coach drives nice and tows our Honda CRV AWD with no problem. We did replace the Michelin tires that came on the coach with Toyo tires and the ride seems even smoother. This coach is perfect for two people. Although the sofa and dinette make into beds it really would be a hassle to do that every night. So we recommend this as being the perfect travel coach for a couple with no kids. Plenty of room if you have a dog. And we find that we have tons and tons of storage inside and outside. We dont even use all the storage inside. We love this coach. It's only a 340HP but as long as we are not overloaded we have no issues with power even whiling towing. We get close to 10 mph which is great and we use diesel 2 fuel. We enjoy this coach. Show less

DO NOT purchase a Forrest River product! We have a 2016 Forest River Forester 2401W motorhome which we purchased because of it's Mercedes chassis. We regrettably chose to disregard the numerous negative reviews of Forrest River products which have proven prophetic. Our MH has 6,465 miles and I found the Hellwig sway bar that F.R. so highly touts literally hanging from the rear axle housing by one bracket! Upon inspection and contacting Hellwig, I was informed that it was dangerously (per Hellwig) installed not even close to Hellway's specifications by F.R. The Hellway technician told me to NOT attempt replacing this sway bar send him pictures of all aspects and the remove it! I have actually found this exact type of build quality in almost every area of this M.H. which I would never expect in a unit in this price range. I would be glad to expound further on all of the issues requiring repair we have found which are far too numerous to include in this review. Our best, Phil and Kaisha Sulkosky Show less
