Keystone PASSPORT SL 239ML reviews

I purchased my Keystone trailer brand new at the beginning of summer, excited to make memories camping with my family and our new baby. Unfortunately, it has been nothing but problems since day one. Something is always breaking — the solar panels, fridge, CO₂ detectors, and outlets have all failed at some point. The trailer has spent more time at the dealer getting repaired than it has with us on the road. It feels like a complete waste of money, paying for something we can’t even use. We chose to spend more on a Keystone thinking it would mean better quality, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. We’ve had to cancel multiple camping trips because of ongoing issues, and every time we take it out, I’m worried about what will break next. The worst part was the faulty fridge — I rely on it to keep breast milk cold for our baby, and I had to throw out a lot of spoiled milk because it failed during a trip. Overall, this has been a huge disappointment. I would strongly caution anyone considering a Keystone trailer to think twice — for the price, the reliability and quality are simply not there. Faulty ac and heating, bathroom is too small to move in, no oven, cooker could be less slanted to give more prep room. The space between queen bed and dinette is wasted could have been storage there.tv is in bad location. Could have a nice skylight in main room. Didn't come with ladder outside. Show less

The Travel trailer has held up very well over the last 5 years that Ive owned it. Im the 2nd owner and very pleased with the overall quality and ease of hooking it up to my Toyota sequoia. The trailer is constructed with aluminum framing, so it is ultra lite. The floorplan, which included a Dinette, was replaced with two swivel rocker recliners because the dinette's comfort while watching TV or reading was not comfortable. The glass shower is exceptional so I don't have to mess with a shower curtain. The slide- out and awning function perfectly, and the RV will come with a gas grill and mounting for ease of use. First issue is the awning is absolutely trash, arms has broken twice. The cost to replace is 100.00 The size is to big for for the braces to hold it up...a slight rain destroys it, even if its tilted The second issue is the air conditioner, it is by far the worst I've ever experience in a travel trailer. You literally are in an oven with what feels like a fan blowing hot air....it came like this so i know that its a factory issue. Third issue is the faucet had a big hole in the spout and would squirt out when you turned the water on...we fixed this easy. Fourth issue after one year the fireplace has completely stopped working...weve only used it 4 times. Fifth issue is the shower enclosure will not stay together...not a great big deal just aggravating Sixth issue is trim pops off everywhere but is easily fixed. LAST ISSUE... When we brought this straight from the lot the carpet was soaked, turned out there were no sealer on the roof...one complete section had been skipped ....the air conditioner or rain would have our carpet drenched. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING AWAY FROM THE PASSPORT. IT LOOKS NICE YES... ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC...BUT ITS JUST TROUBLE NOBODY NEEDS...i could understand a few simple issues ..but the awning and the air conditioner are COMPLETELY TRASH. Show less

This happens to be one excellent Travel Trailer. It has a lot of sleeping capacity, beautiful bunkhouse nice size bathroom great kitchen. The theater seating is an upgrade and I love it along with the 15,000 BTUAC this is an excellent Travel Trailer for the money. You will never go wrong with this one. Show less

I simply love the floor plan. We did replace the rv queen mattress with a true queen mattress. Original was pretty useless. Not really impressed with the build quality. Slide out bracket was installed poorly, lost a suspension bolt before 5000 miles. Finish exposed to Texas sun degraded within 12 months. Had to replace the leaking toilet flush valve on first trip. Vinyl trim strips were replaced after 24 months due to complete degradation. Just shoddy workmanship overall. You would think a little bit of quality control would have caught most of these I love their floor plans but they have to do better before I’ll buy a Keystone again. Show less

Do not buy a keystone product. My 20 23 passport has been nothing but a hunk of s*** since I've bought it. I am working in a disaster area on the Virginia and North Carolina line and have been down here for about 4 weeks The air conditioning is out for the fourth time this year. The refrigerator was out all last year. Tonight is supposed to get down to 30 and now the heater is out. The side of the camper is pulling loose and the awning motor has broken. I have used this thing successfully 19 days and last year and a half. Now I'm going to have to drag off this job working in the disaster area because I have no heat. Keystone needs to get their act together they used to be a great camper now they are the Yugo of the camper industry. I need to know where to drop this hunk of s*** off at in Elkins Indiana so they can see what type of crap they're putting out there on the road. There needs to be some type of consumer relations or class action lawsuit against s*** like this. Show less

Compared to newer models, our 2400bh has had only one issue with the slideout motor that took all of an hour to repair, I cut the 1x6 behind the access panel, which makes future repairs a snap. The new gearbox include a drip tray, livability is fine for a family of 4, we also added solar, a perko battery disconnect and extra 32" android tvs. No issues with leaks or water, everything works as it should 9 years later Show less

The quality and the service aren't there. The trim started falling off immediately. Three of the four stabilizer jacks bent the first week we had it when the camper shifted after it was leveled. The toilet seal leaks continuously. The shore power arched and welded the power cord to the camper within the first 6 months. Cost us $400 to fix it and had to use alternative sources of electricity. The warranty didn't cover this. The furnace hasn't worked for over half the time we've had it. Cost us $600 to get it fixed. Warranty service isn't an option as the locations are few and far between. The Keystone website even states that it would be easier for the RV owner to fix it themselves. Show less
