** BUYER BEWARE ** To ANYONE looking to purchase a KEYSTONE MONTANA 5th WHEEL, please BEWARE!! We have experienced our THIRD CATASTROPHIC SUSPENSION FAILURE on our Keystone Montana 3790RD 5th wheel which involved the leaf springs snapping for the THIRD time, which then caused the second axle on the unit to be forcefully jammed up into the the chassis causing significant damage to the underbelly of our unit, along with CUTTING OUR BREAK LINES causing us to lose the brakes on our trailer while going down an overpass on a highway. We have been informed by the repair shop that we are EXTREMELY lucky there was not a fatality and that if they repair it, the chances of it happening again are EXTREMELY high and just a matter of time until there is a fatality with the unit. We tried reaching out to Keystone RV and Thor Industries via letter, and all we received was an extremely rude call from the VP of Service Operations, Garrett Carolis, telling us our request for assistance was not warranted and that our letter was an "extremely unrealistic expectation and will not happen." He also said that Keystone RV will NOT financially assist in anyway and that we are "absurd" for even asking. Keystone is also fully aware that I had a PICC line in my arm for IV medication and we were stranded on the side of the road for over 6 hours because of their manufacturing defects. We are still stranded, and have been for almost 2 weeks, in the town we were passing through when the incident happened because the repairs are now up to $10,000 and with the safety warning of taking it back on the road, we are extremely concerned. We just want to make sure ANYONE LOOKING TO BUY A KEYSTONE MONTANA 5th WHEEL is aware of what happened to us and the absolute NIGHTMARE we are dealing with because of the terrible manufacturing of our KEYSTONE MONTANA 5th WHEEL. We own a 2017 Cougar rls. We search for this particular floorplan. It has large windows, 2 recliners, a large walk through bathroom and king bed. It light weight and can be towed with a half ton truck. We towed long distances and often took grandkids with us. Great floor plan! Show less

The floor plan and layout is very useful and the outside kitchenette has been very flexible and frequently used. Towing this 5th wheel RV is very easy compared to pull behind units. The bunkhouse has proven to be extremely comfortable and versatile. Show less

I'm the second owner of this RV. My wife and I love the layout of this trailer. It has loads of storage. Between the corner cabinet and the kitchen panty you have plenty of space for all of your kitchen needs. The most convenient thing I've found is the outdoor kitchen with a pass-thru to the living area. Since owning the camper we've been up and down the east coast and never had any problems with the camper towing. Everything on the unit is in great shape and works well. The next owner of this camper will have no problem with any system on board. Show less

I did write a previous review and am adding on to it as we have heard back from Keystone. Although it is a great floor plan, we have had bad luck with this trailer due to manufacturing defects. A minor defect is that they put a seam in the gutter right over the front door so that when it rains, water drips over the door. We've had it fixed a couple of times, but there is no permanent fix because you have to keep filling it with something to fill the gap. That is minor. We live with it. The MAJOR issue is the slideouts. We have had nothing but trouble with them, and I know this is a common issue with slideouts. But we found out that they were using some sort of hollow glides that crush over time. We have only had this trailer for 5 years, but have had trouble with the slideouts the entire time. Keystone just sent me an email stating that they won't even consider helping with this as it is past their one year warranty (we purchased a separate warranty and they won't cover it either). They say it is due to maintenance issues and normal wear and tear. We keep our trailer in a shop, we maintain it as the manual states and there are only 2 of us, so not a lot of wear and tear. Their email was rude and states that the matter is closed and they won't even respond to any more emails about it. Such poor customer service. The estimate we got for the repairs is $7,500! Don't buy a Keystone.....I tried to upload the video of what the slideouts do, but it won't let me for some reason? Show less

We love the layout of this RV, but we have had nothing but problems with the slideouts, and leaking over the front door. There have been other minor issues that we have been able to deal with and our warranty covered. But the slideouts apparently aren't covered by our warranty and we have an estimate of $7,500 to repair them. We talked to the makers of the slideout mechanism, and they say that the manufacturers were using hollow slideout rails and were told not to after a certain point. We also found out our walls are separating somehow. We take THE BEST care of our trailer. We park it inside. It is well maintained. There are only 2 of us, no kids, and we aren't heavy people. These things shouldn't be happening. I'm trying to get Keystone to help, but so far they have told us no. I will keep pushing! I would not recommend this model to anyone. Show less

We can't go like use to, so it's for sale. It has been a good one. Quite a step up from the hybrids we had owned before. This model offered a lot of value for the price. It offers a unique floorplan that has met all our expectations. It has more storage than you can imagine. We all like our stuff and you can find a place for it. Everything is just convenient. Anyone owning a RV well be way ahead if they are a hands-on person. Be prepared to do things. Stuff happends, but we are blessed with many places to search out the answers. The industry has not kept up with the demand for service. However they working to give the owners the tools to keep them camping. We are glad we did it. Enjoy the experience, Kwink Show less

This RV is easy to live in. Roomy Floorplan. Large size refrigerator, easily holds a week's worth of groceries. Large shower, and lots of storage for supplies. We spent 4 months in this camper for 3 winters and never felt claustrophobic. Show less

directly from a dealer within a week trouble began hot water failed due to a wiring issue. The refrigerator quit due to a loose wire on the control. lights dim in the bedroom and bathroom due to poor ground wire. factory failed to insulate the front cap creating temperatures so high in the closets that it drooped plastic hangers. factory failed to properly connect the black tank flush line creating flood and water damage to bathroom cabinets. soft spots in the floor after the 2nd year and getting worse. The battery converter failed after 12 months leaf spring broke in 3rd year. Show less

Comfortable, roomy, its almost a house.. Tows well, stable, tracks well. Kitchen is functional and easy to manage. Only shortfall is it could use more drawers. We get great comments and, "WOW this is nice" often. We built and solid. Wish Keystone built a Diesel Pusher Show less
