This is our last (out of 6) 5th wheel as we are moving-on to other adventures. It completely satisfies our needs as our second home whenever we are away for extended trips away from home.. It's way-nice for 2-3 days getaways to Half Moon Bay or Bodega Bay.
With the solar, inverter and lithium batteries we really don't need an electric connection.
Have camped in the Sierras and Idaho/Montana/Wyoming etc. during the colder months and were plenty warm with the extra insulation, heated tanks, over-sized heater and fireplace. Of course needed a connection for this.
This fifth wheel is connected to our 4wd, short bed 1 ton TV using the Andersen hitch system. It pulls wonderfully and we could ALMOST say we don't know it's back there. The MOR/Ryde LRE 4100 suspension, wet bolt bronze shackles, never-adjust brakes and MOR/Ryde hitch are very nice.
A very nice 5er.

The rear cap is very nice, 6 point hyd leveler, insulated very nicely, fireplace knocks-out the chill in the morning, the in-house computerized controls are awesome, tows very nice with Moryde pin box and suspension, added 500w solar with 2000w inverter and 4 6v AGM batteries. We have been very happy with this Monty.
We will be selling in near future because we're scaling-down on all our toys.

2nd Montana..issues from interior quality to leaking slide cylinder. Told by dealership that cylinders leak on all of them...this one is pouring out the oil & they won’t cover it. Gas stove not receiving enough gas thru the line due to a manufacturing flaw (bent gas line restricted gas)...told by dealership I was to blame for not operating right..husband fixed it & it works well now. If u are not mechanically inclined you will pay a lot of money for repairs when you can get an appointment. VERY DISAPPOINTED in Montana Service dealing with any issues!!! Can’t contact a manufacture rep. What a JOKE!

Purchased this unit July, 2017 based on quality of last two models (2003 & 2011) which were great quality. This unit not so much, terrible interior finish work, problems with the Level Up system. We've had the micro wave, cook top, oven, kitchen faucet and curbside landing jack replaced and numerous additional trips to Camping World repair stores over and above the fore mentioned work. The 18 cu ft fridge's left door still sags after being taken back for repairs, and has worn the fridge floor so thin, that the floor has developed a crack in it. All Norcold wants to do is to install a second set of door shims, again to keep the door from rubbing the floor, after the crack appeared. They won't pay to repair the floor crack. just They won't accept responsibility for this defect! Now I have a unit less than a year old and is a far cry from a quality unit as Keystone managers think it is. What happened to Keystone's quality control and support?? Think twice about buying any Montana product.

With the high-end suspension everything is just the way we left it when we arrive at a new destination. We really enjoy the large screen TV and the electric recliners. My wife is not a very tall person so she has some difficulty closing most recliners – not these. The rear end cap which is part of the LEGACY LUXURY package adds a touch of class to the entire rig. The InCommand system makes the operation of the awnings, lights, levelers, etc very easy and convenient. Gotta love this Montana.

I am very disappointed with the 2017 3160RL Montana. The only reason I have not returned the unit is because of the outstanding service from B & D RV Sales. You should really thank B & D RV Sales for their prompt response on fixing these issues. Let’s look at what we have had so far: Rear Air conditioner does not work, hydraulic leak that almost stranded us, heater board burned out which was a really cold night, Power relay quit working, DVD player remote does not work and by the way for a luxury camper, it should be a blue ray payer, and the remote TVs are not hooked to the entertainment center. Please stop calling it a luxury camper! The under carriage is loose and floppy. And the holes in the floor for piping and hoses are not sealed, that would allow mice and bugs to get in. Gasket on front storage compartment came off. Water pump came loose and vibrated making terrible noise. Molding above the kitchen table fell down and jammed in the hydraulic slide. Several shades have broken. The door side fender almost fell off, missing screws and loose screws, on both sides. A gap on the kitchen table where the two leafs come together had to be fixed, I can hardly wait to see what happens next. The one issue we have not fixed is a doozy. When my 135 pound wife walks across the kitchen floor; the center island bar sways to and fro. Either you do not care or a brace was left out! When I first found the 5th wheel camper I loved it. I thought the moving island was due to not all of the stabilizing jacks down. Guess what? The Grand Design’s kitchen island bar does not move!
