This TT was perfect for us as a couple and took us across the country in style! We were welcomed in all campgrounds that have electric or size restrictions, especially in older state and federal parks. The solar power served us well when boondocking, as did the somewhat higher carriage, and got us much closer to the sights we wished to see than regular campgrounds would have. The style inside is warm and appealing, comfortable and surprisingly roomy. The all-around big windows allow spectacular views and plenty of sunlight, but still maintain your privacy.

We have had a few warranty issues on our NEW 2022 Cougar 22MLS travel trailer. KEYSTONE covered most, but declined to cover a big gap between the driver’s side front window frame and the interior paneling up to 16″ long and you could stick your hand in all the way from bottom to top. Had RV service center and myself submit for approval to Keystone and was denied. Keystone claims that 16″ panel gap is “within Factory Spec” non-warranty issue. I said, what about the passenger side that is tight and has no gap between frame and paneling? Shouldn’t driver’s side be seamless too? Nope, gap is within factory spec. Not one $ will be spent on KEYSTONE brands when we look for another trailer to purchase.

Shopped for months before deciding on this camper- Warranty was a BIG decision on this purchase! BRAND NEW… we live in it full time, fit our needs— until we lived in it full time— 1st rain, roof leaked !! Doors did Not close Unless they were Slammed shut- Water pump ran Most of the time- Even when faucet was not on.. when it was on, water would soon stop running! This is “top of the line travel trailer” with an in-known TV brand AND a Worthless Antenna to go with it ! We have been “living” in this trailer fo 2 Months now- the OVEN still doesn’t work AND NEVER DID ! Waiting the the Company to OK the warranty— on a BRAND NEW TRAVEL TRAILER!! not sure if ALL top line trailers are like this— but I’m sorry I bought this one !!!!

Our first RV was a 22 ft travel trailer that worked well for us as weekend warriors - but now that we can work remotely, we decided to upgrade to a larger trailer with enough room for us to spread out and work. We have owned our 2021 Keystone Cougar Half Ton 29RLKWE for a year now, and just returned from a 6 week trip. Positives about this travel trailer: We chose this model because the floor plan resembles some fifth wheel floor plans we liked, but our truck doesn't have enough payload capacity to handle the weight of a fifth wheel, so we chose this model. The living room with the large tv, fireplace, couch and recliners......makes this feel like we are at home and not a travel trailer. It's really spacious. The king size bed is also a nice feature to give us plenty of space. The large tanks make it possible to go up to a week before needing to dump. This is a very good floor plan for long trips. The outdoor kitchen comes with an additional fridge so we can store more beverages and food when hooked up to shore power. There are plugs everywhere so there is no problem charging gadgets. Ours came with a 2nd AC unit, and a solar panel....both of these are awesome to have. Here are the negatives: The bed is a PAIN to make. This is pretty much true about every travel trailer though. The wardrobe slide is designed to come in just above the mattress - this becomes a problem if you have a topper and/or a comforter. We have to slide these off the corner of the bed before bringing in the wardrobe slide- so it's really only a problem when we are leaving a place. Storage is a bit tight considering the size of this trailer but I weighed my trailer fully loaded and had more than 2000 lbs to spare. Keystone installed the Trailer King tires on our rig, and they had to be replaced after only 1500 miles because the sidewall was starting to separate. Some of the drawer slides broke, some of the window blind valances shook loose on our trips. The "Capital Grill" that came with the trailer is useless. I am looking to remove it and drop in a 22" Blackstone griddle. Would have been nice if it came with a griddle instead of that silly grille. I also wish the outdoor kitchen had a sink. The awning is pretty small. We miss the 20' awning that came with our previous rig. This one is so small....it's practically useless for hanging out under it because it is right over the door and only about 8' wide.

Some reasonable grades except for the quality portion. I expected more from a brand new unit. This will probably show a better grade but would be hard pressed to recommend Kodiak to anyone. So far I have fixed trim, table leg stands, panels not assembled properly, handles falling off, picked up nails, a lot of screws, rehung the bathroom door and so on. The black tank flush was installed incorrectly so I fixed that today. The cleanup after construction was VERY poor. Sawdust, stripped wire, I have a one gallon shop vac that I filled about a third full from stuff that should have been cleaned at the factory. Apparently little or no QC department . I am a detail person and would have rather spent my time on better things than this.

This was the 5th RV we owned. We recently sold because we want to downsize a bit (empty nesters). We really liked the counter space and storage in the the kitchen. it was also handy having the dinette right next to it. The lounge chairs were comfy, and we the windows on the ends of the slide out were nice for bringing in more light. The skylight over the shower was a nice idea, and floor to ceiling cabinet next to it was perfect for towels and all our shampoos, and other bathroom supplies. The wardrobe closet slide out in the bedroom was unique. Never saw one of these before, we definitely liked this, especially for longer trips, and gave us a lot more hanging storage so our clothes didn't all have to be folded, The power awning worked smoothly and quietly, and the powder hitch lift was the a first for us. Really nice not to have to do all that cranking by hand. The ladder on the back was also nice, we used to clear off a branch that fell on the roof while we were camping.

We purchased our TT a little over a month ago from Gander RV in Thornburg, VA. The only positive aspect of that buying experience was our Sales person Michelle. Regarding the RV, there were a number of quality issues that were immediately visible. First, there was moisture in the right rear taillight. The dealer installed a battery that smelled like rotten eggs. I didn't know where the smell was coming from when they were prepping the RV as there were other R v's nearby and I thought it might have been something left in a black holding tank. A couple of days later, I discovered it was a bad battery.. I could hear a sizling sound coming from the battery box. When I opened the Box, I could see the battery was sizzling and smoking. So I disconnected it right away. Way. The dealer met me on a Sunday while I was in route to my first trip with the camper and replace the battery. Other issues included the wood paneling peeling away from the side of the dynette. The piece of panrling was clearly too long, and was buckling at the end. Several staples were used on that end to hold it down, but in spite of the manufacturer's efforts it came off. Also, the hinges used for the under-bed storage area in the master bedroom were too weak. They broke after only a couple of days of use as they were not strong enough to handle the weight of the mattress on the lid combined with the force of the struts. I replaced them with place them with residential door hinges. Various pieces of trim were pulling away or hanging down from the ceiling or the ceiling wall joint. Two of the windows windows were oddly shaped it to the point where the screens would not stay in. Finally, I won't be the fitst one to report that there are issues with draining the Gray water tanks. Thanks. The drainage is extremely slow, taking nearly an hour to drain the tanks. If you leave the gray tank valve open as many do while they're at the campsite, water will still accumulate in the tanks. This is a known issue, so I'm not sure why it hasn't been fixed. This camper is equipped with docking lights on the front cap. The docking light on the right side was peeling away from the camper. Not sure why this was not caught at the factory nor at the dealership. At the dealership. I had them fix it before taking delivery. Finally, someone at the dealership had removed the 50" TV as well as the cover is spare tire cover. However, they came up with the TV and the spare tire cover once we threatened to walk away from the deal.
