We liked the floor plan. The problem is that the InCommand Control system is junk. It has flickered and worked intermittently since we bought it. The warranty is useless because they will not honor it and will not fix anything while on warranty. The quality control at the factory is dismal. The bottom panel on the outside had to be re inforced or it was about to blow off in the wind. The cabinetry was coming apart around the fridge because the factory people had driven in some long brad nails that did not go into any solid wood in behind. These are all things I had to fix myself . The first time I washed it, I almost cut my hand on a row brad nails that had been driven from the inside out thru the fiberglass wall to the outside. I did make the dealership fix that. The dealership, Fraserway RV in Airdrie Alberta was totally incompetent, leaving me to fix most things on my own.

We purchased this unit in April of 2019, and used it 3 times. It is now sitting at the dealer where we purchased it. The roof is coming apart which caused leakage between the walls. The slide is bowing which is also causing leakage. The fresh water line is not working. There are numerous other things wrong. The manufacturing of this unit is very poor. I wish we would have read the reviews before purchasing. At this point keystone said they would pay for repairs, well its under warranty, so I would hope so. We don't want the unit back, based on if there is water between the walls, its going to cause further issues. We owned a Jayco for 16 years previous, and never had issue like this. Also it states 1/2 ton, no way can a 1/2 ton pickup pull this unit. Very dissapointed customer.

Bought this rv brand new right off the lot the back door doesn't close right 2 of the windows dont close right big quarter inch gaps . Shelf behind TV broke on the first trip didnt hardly have anything on it (dvds). I have been into house building construction for 10 years and the shelf had bare minimum amount of staples and screws and was the worst design I have ever seen. After the shelf I decided to look closer at everything and come to find that the welding over most of the rv frame work is some of the worst welding I have ever seen and I have been steel fabricating for 3.5 years and have a my wabo and AWS 3g and 4g certifications. They are poor enough that I fear that my rv is going to fall apart and I will spend plenty of time redoing the welds. I will never buy a cougar rv again and would highly recommend to anyone to never buy one either.

Of the several features of the updated 2019 Keystone Cougar 29BHS that appealed to me most was the front windshield. I liked the way it looked and the light shinning in made a non-slide bedroom seem airy and bright. Unfortunately just two days later during the first rainstorm the interior frame around the windshield leaked all over the bed. There are several other features that attracted me to this RV but it is currently unusable in the rain for all the leaks and has been returned to my selling dealer for repair. At this point I have confidence in the dealer doing what they can to effectively repair my RV under Keystone warranty but I am skeptical after reading so many bad reviews about Keystone products. Unfortunately I could not get the Keystone dealer nearby while en route to enact repairs as they stated they only do warranty repairs on Keystone units that they sell. keystone says that it's policy for any of their dealers to do warranty repairs but that they "can't control what the dealers do."
Also, on my journey back to my dealer driving trough the usual road construction our highway system is constantly under the medicine cabinet in the rear bathroom fell off the wall!!!

Disturbing coverage from the warranty department. I had two handles break off, trim problems, cabinet doors that are falling apart and many other aesthetic problems. Warranty dept wanted nothing to do with fixing these. I am truly disgusted after paying $30,000 for a new unit. Keystone deserves to lose business and if my review helps one person decide to go another direction then it was worth my time. The only company equally as bad is Camping World in De Forest WI.

We bought this trailer in Washington to move across the country to N.C. We honestly couldn’t have bought a better trailer. We weren’t expecting to stay in it for so long, but with a crazy housing market we ended up living in it for 3 months. Thank goodness for the extra insulation in the western edition because the N.C. summers are no joke and without good insulation, I don’t think the A/C would’ve been able to keep up. But I’m getting too far ahead. First, the trailer tows straight and feels so light behind a 3/4 ton truck (especially if you’ve got a diesel). At just under 7,000lbs loaded with dishes, clothes, etc., the truck barely noticed it was there even across the Tetons, Rockies, and Smokies. It was always so fun to cook out under the awning with the outdoor kitchen or to grab a drink from the outdoor refrigerator while roasting marshmallows outside. And if it’s rainy, you go into the spacious living area and enjoy the huge TV with surround sound. Putting the kids into their own bunks in the back while staying up front in a separate room is amazing. Mom and Dad stay up and it doesn’t wake the kiddos.
If you’re looking for an amazing trailer, whether it’s your first or an upgrade, this is a fantastic model to consider. You won’t regret owning one.
