Keystone COUGAR HALF-TON 22RBS reviews

Like anything else you HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF IT. We bought the 2019 keystone cougar 22rbs new. We take good care of it as it has always taken care of us. It's one of the best campers we've ever owned. We've never had any problems with anything. We pull it with a 2019 Chevy Silverado half ton. It pulls wonderful! I would recommend this camper to anyone. Just keep in mind that like anything else, when buying used it all depends on how the previous owner took care of it . Show less

Current Owner Rating: It's been a great RV. Great for two adults and little dogs. Can sleep 4 but it's really geared to two people. The table converts to a bed and is good for one person, maybe two if small. Show less

If there were zeros it would get zeros. The dealer would get zeros too. Bought new in 2019. Have never had a single trip that didn’t have a significant issue. In the three years we have had it the dealership has had it for one year “fixing it”. Today marks attempted trip six. Picked up yesterday after fifth trip a water leak (significant) in the wall 9 hours from home. Dealer called said problem fixed bad valve on water heater. Drove to a park near home to insure no more issues. Started off looking good, but as usual within a couple of hours of the stay noticed ac functioning improperly and it was not cooling to the temp set. The thermostat (InCommand) wasn’t registering a room temperature (zone temp). This was not the problem the trailer went in for and the electronics are in the same wall as where they fixed the leak. You do the math. Prior to that it was a complete failure of heater in subzero temps in Utah on fourth trip. No power to slide and jack on third trip ( batteries connected to rusted electric blocks so not making contact). Interior A wheel skirt that wasn’t installed properly that blew/pulled off on first trip, along with leaking water drain pipes under sink (fortunately these were outside allegedly bad twist drain connectors). This camper is a breeze to pull with a half ton truck. It's very comfortable because of the spacious layout and higher ceiling. There's so much storage in every area. The kitchen has a stainless undermounted sink with a cover for additional counter space and the stove has a glass cover for more counter space. The king size bed is so comfortable with hanging storage on each side and above. The table located in the slide converts into a bed and has more storage beneath. Windows surround the table, kitchen and bedroom to let fresh air in as well are two skylights. It's a little home away from home. Show less

This is a great rig for a couple wanting to travel weekends locally, or over the country on a long term trip. I was pleased with the build quality, as the industry certainly has its problems, but I've experienced no such issues with our rig. The ease of access to things and moving around in the camper, starting with the sturdy entry steps is great for people who are a bit older, the convenience and abundance of storage in this smaller rig are great. The key things we wanted when looking for a rig were a king bed, a decent size enclosed shower, a workable kitchen area with decent counter space, and comfortable seating that actually faces the TV. This rig delivered on all counts with a well thought out layout and so much more. We appreciate the usb outlets located on both sides of the bed and on each recliner chair, 110v outlets are abundant as well. Food storage is easy with the deep kitchen cabinets, the large closet near the entry, and the sizeable Dometic refrigerator/freezer. We love having the large awning that is easy to deploy, including led lights on both sides of the frame, and even a wind sensor to close it automatically should the weather turn bad while away from the rig. Overall this rig has been delightful for us to use, and we hope to put many more miles on it post-pandemic. Show less

On my first weekend trip the large storage door came off in my hands, screws went flying, a floor panel came up during vacuuming and had to be glued back down. One our second weekend outing I noticed as the pull out was going out 6 staples sticking out of the thin wall to the left of the pullout, I called the dealer and will take it in today. So far the quality of build is poor. I have gone through all the cabinet screws to tighten and have found about half of the screws will not tighten down they just spin in the hole, I will be replacing all screws with slightly larger ones myself. Tows very good. Furnace is so loud it wakes you up every time it runs. For the most part all works good. The U shape dinette is useless, no one can fit inside. The cabinets are falling apart inside trim and drawers falling apart. Adding screws and caulk to hold together. Interior is very cheap. Disappointed. It is less than two years old. Show less

We purchase new oct 13, 2018 and took delivery oct 19. Nothing but problems with [dealer] and Keystone. All occurred within 2 weeks, but took over a month for them to admit problems. On dec 26 dometic furnace went bad. Both Keystone Show less
