Prior to owning this trailer we had a 2013 Keystone Hideout 27', which we had ZERO problems with. It was an incredible trailer, which is why I wanted another Keystone when we decided to upgrade.
Since owning this trailer, we have had nothing but problems with it. Here is the list of items we have already had to replace on our 2 year old trailer:
- Water pump (quit on our first trip)
- Furnace (quit on our first trip)
- Trailer Jack (quit after our first summer - 10 trips)
- Kitchen faucet (started leaking at the start of our 3rd summer)
The layout is terrible too. Good luck trying to make the queen size bed, because the basement storage extends so far out you can only reach to head of the bed if you have 8' arms. There is minimal storage inside the trailer as well. The bunkroom is the only redeeming factor of this turd of a trailer. Do not buy one. Look for models made prior to 2019.

I have a lot of camping experience and I personally would not recommend purchasing another keystone product again

To be honest had i done the full walk through prior to signing the finance contract i WOULD NOT have bought this trailer. The quality in craftsmanship is absolutely garbage. My 8 year old daughter could have done a better job trimming out this trailer. Wires were wired incorrectly, staples shot through wires causing shortages, ac unit was leaking, there is an EXCESSIVE amount of staples throughout the whole trailer, the vinyl backing in the kitchen was cut too big so it is bubbled out from the wall, just plain shitty work all around. I was told by camping world of Burlington, WA that keystone literally hired people off the street with a $500 bonus to put these trailers together who were NOT even qualified to do this kind of work!

Bought this camper from Camping World in Roanoke, Va. We have had to return it for warranty work on 2 different occasions. The first was for an inverter to be installed because their selling point is that the plugs taped yellow would run off solar panels, but they don’t if there isn’t an inverter. They also had to install a ladder because it never had one installed. This trip took 2 weeks because they’re slow. The second trip, it’s there now, is due to the bedroom window leaking because it was inserted wrong (a screw was inserted sideways into the outer frame). The gutter behind the awning has a seam that leaked terribly, so we couldn’t set under the awning when it rain during our camping trip. Also, our shoes and all got soaked because of this leak. The awning has weak arms that cause it to not roll in evenly. That’s a bad design. The refrigerator door was very hard to open when the camper is level, but could open easily when not level. Weird. The water faucet in the bath tub would leak water when the tab is pulled up for the shower to operate. When the switch is off at the shower head, the water would still leak out the tub faucet. This caused the pump to cut on and off when running off batteries or generator. I honestly wish we could just exchange it for another camper, but we all know how things go. The customer just has to deal with the problems and try to move on… in a perfect world, it should be exchanged for a better model at no additional cost. We are losing a summer to warranty repairs due to bad manufacturing, when we could be making memories with our kids. We don’t get these summers back. My suggestion is to go with a different company for your camper. Not Camping World, Gander Mt, or Keystone…

I love the floor plan. Exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately it is falling apart. We have owned it for 4 and a half months. We have been traveling across the country for 3 months. Nearly every time we stop something has to be repaired. Has already had two recalls, but no one can fix it in a timely manner. As I said we are traveling and not able to wait for an appointment 1-2 months away. I would not recommend this trailer.
