Keystone Arcadia Half-Ton reviews

We bought the 5th wheel new in July. When we went through our walk through the slide wouldn't open, so we had to go back for a different walk through a few weeks later. Luckily for us, it was raining that day, because the bathroom skylight was leaking heavily, so we postponed again. When we got back to the dealer again for the walk through we water heater wasn't working, so again we postponed the walk through. Come to find out Keystone never wired the water heater... so we finally go to our walk through months later and the shore power didn't work. The socket wasn't wired properly.. so once again we left it at the dealer... so now we were pushing our Christmas in Arizona back because we were looking at mid-December for the walk through. All this time I was calling Keystone trying to get them off their hands and pay for the repairs. They did eventually, but it was months waiting.. Now, after our 4th camping trip the auto leveling system isn't working... Of course, it is out of warranty, because the 1 year warranty ended 4 months after we took possession of the camper. We are looking to upgrade now, but I will never buy another Thor (parent company) Product again, and won't even look at a Keystone. Show less

Purchased the RV brand new after 1.5 years had to replace one of the roof a/c units. The black tank clean out doesn't work. The refrigerator just went out at year 2. Now again year 2 the furnace fan is going out. Worst Purchase ever! Stay away from keystone products. They look great at the dealership but the quality of on board equipment is sub par and unreliable. Quality on the inside is awful as well. Cheap wood grain tape on all door edges peals away in a very short time. My trailer is less than three years old and I am the original owner. Run from keystone. Show less

Love the layout. Overall construction quality is average. Several trim pieces have had to be replaced, table had to be screwed back in the wall after the first trip. Shower leaked from not being sealed properly. Cabinet construction is not the best. Tankless Water heater is too far from the shower and kitchen so it is a 20 second wait for water to heat up. However, the size of the unit and the overall layout are wonderful for a couples camper. Show less

Immediately after purchasing new last year the front cargo area filled with water and water leaked from the front window onto the bed. Took it back to the dealer (who has since been bought out during it;s bankrupcy) and they said factory did not seal it the front cap. This took 2 months to resolve. At the beginning of this season I had the roof inspected by a licensed tech and inspector and discovered the TPO membrane completely delaminating and bubbling. The RV dearler said roof needs replacement. KEYESTONE DENIED coverage multiple times. I still own the trailer, still using it and watching the TPO bubble off. Many other issues like water pump, on demand heater. This trailer is garbage. Show less

We love this RV, we have 2 kids and the bunk space was perfect for them. There is also a lot of storage under the lower bunk. The kitchen has everything you need and big closet when you walk in the door. It also has a 2nd door in the bathroom so you can just come in from the outside and get right in the shower or to use the restroom without going in the rest of the camper. Ours had 2 AC units so keeping the camper cool was never a problem. Lots of space in the master as well. Overall great camper and we never had any issues. Show less

We looked at smaller RVs first but felt they would be too cramped for us. My priority was a large kitchen with lots of counter space and lots of storage throughout, which this model delivers! The large panoramic kitchen window allows whoever is working in the kitchen to enjoy the view. I love the skylight in the bathroom and all the light from the windows. The clothes storage is enough for a lady with a large four season wardrobe! In the colder weather is so cozy to sit in the recliners with built in massage or heated seat, in front of the fireplace and watch the big screen TV or listen to the radio. Whether it was below zero or above 100 degrees, we were always comfortable. We always kept the exterior and interior immaculate. Show less

We recently upgraded to the Cougar 32RLI, we were looking for more area in the living room, kitchen and bedroom this fit all of those needs. The great amount of storage, electrical and USB outlets also sold us. When we were looking we thought the bathroom layout was good, however, this is the one room I think they fell short on design and practical functionality. Unless you are 6 foot tall (I am 5 ft 5 inches) it is impossible to reach the switch to open or turn on the ventilation fan. I have rigged up a stick so be able to reach it. A more accessible switch would have been nice. The other thing we first thought was that the cabinets were great for storage, however, they are so deep unless you are tall or add pull out shelves it is a waste of space. The lower open shelf would be great for adding a pull out shelf but the toilet is higher and would impede a shelf from extending more than a few inches. Finally the doors on the cabinets open over the toilet and don’t give you much room to get to anything you may have stored there. Other than the bathroom we are extremely happy with this model and will learn to live with these few issues. Show less

Biggest mistake of my life. Workmanship was the poorest I have ever see. Should fire all that worked on it along with supervision and quality control. All should be ashamed to let that workmanship out the door. Corporate disgrace!! will surely show and pass this garbage to anyone that is considering jeystone Show less

Looks are deceiving. This is probably one of the first built fifth wheels and Keystone takes no responsibility. We had to fully replace 18 trusses due to poor manufacturing and design. The trusses were made with 1x2 and didn't reach the side walls. The roof is rated to walk on, yet it can barely hold the weight of an average sized person. Keystone natually blamed snow load despite a mild and minimal snow. It cost us over 12k to fix. Keystone won't help! Half our roof wasnt insulated and the living/dining room pullout was sagging. Fridge stopped working on our second season. Many minor fixes had to be made aswell to trim, wiring, leaky sink. Beauty is only skin deep, look beyond and you'll see all the flaws. We bought it after looking at them at the dealer, great lay out for us and fancy enough to go on family trips. The quality is not there, falling apart since day 1! 1. Awning ripped within a week at the seams and left arm bent making it hard to extend and retract. 2. All trim pieces popping off these are not glued, all staples, nails holding ceiling backing off. 3. AC unit in master bedroom not properly sealed, allowing moisture to build up and drain inside bedroom from condensation. Talk about quality control! 4. Discoloration on floors, almost like moisture is trapped between the flooring and vinyl flooring causing a mold like discoloration. Also, screws backing off under vinyl flooring by kitchen island. Flooring not properly glued down, peeling off. 5.Bunkroom ceiling, this is a HUGE one. Bubbling from water sipping in. This condition has worsen since discovery, this was documented during the first week it was delivered, NOW I actually just discovered that water found its way inside. Again, this was like this since delivery but now it is actually worst and you can see water damage. 6.Draining valves are weak and garbage. Oh by the way these are mislabeled!!! I can't even understand their quality control process, oh yeah NONE! 7.Tires are CHINA BOMBS!! they suck, not good, had blow outs within 1000miles and tore the fenders and damaged the sides. 8.Sliding doors in bathroom and bunkroom misaligned but they do the job. 9.Spare tire mount, why even have one? it sucks. 10.Propane tank valve inoperable would not turn. I have taken to the dealer to try to get them repaired, but as it always happens, BEST WARRANTY but painful to get them to honor it. Let's not even talk about how long it takes for them to just give the green light for repairs. WILL NOT EVER BUY ONE AGAIN!! Show less
