Jayco Toy Hauler reviews

I have owned my trailer since 2021. We have had to replace the tongue jack, propane regulator, rear cargo door screen and finally the Jaycommander. The cargo door screen most likely was never operational but discovered in March 2022. After working through 2 dealers we have finally had it fixed in February 2023, nearly a year. This is a combination of bad dealers and inventory problems at Jayco. The Jaycommander failed after the last firmware updated. After the update the awning would not retract. We have now been waiting over 5 weeks for the warranty support and have been told it would be probably another 4 weeks for a part to arrive and another week for the repair. When we get the trailer back, I will be selling the trailer. We have spent half the time we have owned the trailer trying to get it fixed. If this is standard operating procedures and times for repairs, I do not want to be part of the RVing world. It has cost me far too much time, money and frustration. Show less

Stay far away from this camper. Three weeks after purchase I found the tail light assembly hanging by the wires. The screws rusted through. AC failed. Pitiful attempt to repair. Finally replaced entire unit. The new one is not working right. The water heater broke the second time used. Caulking around sink and shower could have been done better by a monkey. Rollers on shower door fell off or broke. Kitchen faucet leaks. All workmanship is terrible. Every day I find something that angers me. Pre-wired for back up camera. I spent two hours finding, then retrieving this wire from inside the ceiling. This is my third camper. First and last Jayco. I wish I had financed this heap. I would drive it to Jayco headquarters and simply dump it at their front door. The entire RV industry is shameful. Jayco leads the way. Do not buy a Jayco Show less

Wow!!! There is too much to say other than I have lost 7 months of camping in result of this LEMON COVID Camper. You can name any part of a camper and it has failed on the new piece of crap! Don't buy a 2021 Jayco anything! Show less

I purchased my camper new March of 21. Upon orientation several things were broke. Rear awning did not work, sinks and toilets leaked, entry door would not shut properly. After the firs trip we had several issues. Dishwasher prep exploded and flooded camper, garage door retention cable jammed causing door not to open and more fixture leaks. Contacted Jayco several times of warranted items. Absolutely no help. Took in for warranty repair and all claims were denied not to many ion the service department at purchasing dealer is a joke. The list of problems still continue on. Main awning snapped hit my unit damaged my golf cart and was not covered under warranty. I called Jayco and I quote” you were not standing there with the awning when this happened de we deem it misuse because it was unattended “. What kind of response is that? Current day, my roof is delaminating per Jayco but not covered, hot water works when it feels like it, door still doesn’t close properly, cabinets are falling apart, wood accents are discoloring, rear awning still broke, side deck frame has 3/4 inch gap from structure and bolts for mounting are stripped and installed crooked, subfloor not attached to frame, screws coming from exterior to interior are exposed, flooring buckling door lock on rear entry has never worked, auto level will not work, hydraulic lines leak, and the list goes on. Jayce will not respond to any claims filed nor any complaints filed. 143000 dollar camper and absolutely no help from manufacturer fixing their poor quality control defects. Jayco is the leader in the industry if you would like to be the proud owner of a P.O.S. that doesn’t seem to have anything covered under warrant and has by far the worst craftsmanship I have ever seen. My unit looks like it was built at 4 ocklock on Friday and they close at 5. Awesome!!! Anyone else share my aggravation and disappointment??? Show less

Are family absolutely loves this RV! The interior design is excellent! Floors, upholstery, cabinets and countertops colors all flow together perfectly! Much better than are house. Livability is good, a few grips on the dinette chairs being hard to position. It's always a compromise with an RV, and we get a big open living space and large garage, but the kitchen is split up with a hallway between. Bathroom could be larger, but that would take space from somewhere else. Having the bathroom sink outside the bathroom worked well for us. Quality and warranty are great! We did a wall that bowed out, crooked draw and speaker that died. But for an RV it's great quality and all of these issues where covered under warranty. Toyhauler is easy to pull. We used the Reese Straightline system with no issues. If your truck can tow 10,000lbs you can tow this RV. Show less

Great Toy Hauler, can fit TWO quads or one BIG side by side. Feels like home. Comes standard with a generator, unlike most other toy haulers. Solar ready, great for boondocking. Has a vent for the stove which is also not so easy to find on other toy haulers (if you like to cook) Show less

I'd give them a zero if that were an option. Our shower started leaking after the first time we took it out. It has been in the shop for the leak 6 times and the problem continues. The problem seems to be a design flaw. I emailed jayco and asked them to help. The shower has been resealed several times and the shower frame and door was even replaced and continues to leak from the same area. I asked Jayco to help and they said they would review our service records. They wrote back and said the problem wasn't found until after the two year warranty expired so they wouldn't help. I got a copy of all of the service records from the dealer and it turns out the dealership found and attempted to repair the leak before the trailer was delivered to us when it was new. Then we brought it back a few months after we purchased it because we noticed the leak. The trailer was in the shop 5 times for the leak during the 2 year warranty period and again after the 2 year warranty expired. I emailed all of the service records to Jayco and they wrote back and said their decision stands that they will not assist with fixing the leak. What a disappointment. The shower clearly has a design flaw that leaks and Jayco will not stand by their product. The dealer we bought from no longer sells Jayco products. Clearly they are not a dependable company. I would not recommend buying their products. Show less

We have enjoyed the hauler a lot. Took it on a couple of adventures and had great times. Met with good people. We lived in it for a few months while we were waiting for our new house. We went through a couple of cold spells and we faired well. Towing was great. It's long and you must remember to give yourself room to turn. Sets up easy. Awning is always nice too. We are selling because of declining health. So pick up a very lightly used toyhauler at a good price. Also has solar panel wiring so you can hook up a panel to camp without electricity. Show less

Awesome build quality! Higher grade components are used in Jayco compared to other manufactures (cabinets, toilet, flooring ,jack, fridge, axles, ect). Tows really well with 1/2 ton. Lots of garage space for the toys. We upgraded our mattresses, but they all need that. Love this TH and we are sure to build some awesome memories with it. Show less

It is a great RV. Enough space to move around and have personnel space if you have kids. This RV comes with a full size fridge, great for families and if you decide to live in it year round. This is a long RV so it might be challenging if you are not used to hauling long trailers. Show less
