Buyer beware! Condensation within the walls without any visible signs . My Octane has never shown any condensation issues, not in the cabinets or living areas. I’ve always kept the unit well vented when in storage and under a RV carport. Your RV may be rotting away and you don’t even know it! My Octane is an excellent example of poor craftsmanship and no pride in one’s work! It took just seven year for the front eight feet to rot away from the inside out. I would have not known except that my Octane split open driving down the highway. The entire passenger side front corner opened up nearly the entire length while we were heading to a rally. At highway speeds it took just seconds to start peeling back and away. After opening up the walls I discovered massive gaps with no insulation and the AC duct-work taps so poorly cut that half the air was being pumped into the roof and walls! The three roof vents were open behind the trim pieces. So every time we ran the AC we were pumping moisture into the walls and roof. This was so bad that the aluminum floor framing has rotted away, yes aluminum 1 1/2 square tubing totally dissolved in seven years! There was no vapor barrier between the outer aluminum siding and the inside walls. This creates continuous condensation every time there is a temperature variation. Forget about the warranty or your RV insurance, you are on your own for the repairs on this type of damage. Dealer estimate for the repairs? Just shy of $16,000 for repairs! Like I would let any dealer repair it back to factory specs!! I’ve repaired the unit myself for less than 3K. I used closed cell insulation, treated lumber, vapor barriers, Kreg joints, exterior rated glues and highly elastic polymer caulk and sealants. Built the way you would expect to find in one of these expensive toys. So look before you buy and definitely check if you own. Not all RV Condensation can be seen!

The dealership where it is at is convinced it is a pressure switch and Lippert keeps putting them through un successful steps, that don't work…. Anyone have any thoughts?

I have owned my trailer since 2021. We have had to replace the tongue jack, propane regulator, rear cargo door screen and finally the Jaycommander. The cargo door screen most likely was never operational but discovered in March 2022. After working through 2 dealers we have finally had it fixed in February 2023, nearly a year. This is a combination of bad dealers and inventory problems at Jayco. The Jaycommander failed after the last firmware updated. After the update the awning would not retract. We have now been waiting over 5 weeks for the warranty support and have been told it would be probably another 4 weeks for a part to arrive and another week for the repair. When we get the trailer back, I will be selling the trailer. We have spent half the time we have owned the trailer trying to get it fixed. If this is standard operating procedures and times for repairs, I do not want to be part of the RVing world. It has cost me far too much time, money and frustration.

Stay far away from this camper. Three weeks after purchase I found the tail light assembly hanging by the wires. The screws rusted through. AC failed. Pitiful attempt to repair. Finally replaced entire unit. The new one is not working right. The water heater broke the second time used. Caulking around sink and shower could have been done better by a monkey. Rollers on shower door fell off or broke. Kitchen faucet leaks. All workmanship is terrible. Every day I find something that angers me. Pre-wired for back up camera. I spent two hours finding, then retrieving this wire from inside the ceiling. This is my third camper. First and last Jayco. I wish I had financed this heap. I would drive it to Jayco headquarters and simply dump it at their front door. The entire RV industry is shameful. Jayco leads the way. Do not buy a Jayco

Rear tail light/ turn signal assemblies fell off after three weeks because of rusted screws. 3 WEEKS! First test of AC, optional 15k but. Out side temp 79 at630 pm. Inside temp 95. Opened windows, used fan to drop temp to 90. Closed unit. Shades drawn. Awning deployed to help shade side. AC on, set 65. Air felt cool, not cold. Returned 2 hours later ready to walk in and shiver. The only shiver I felt was due to anger. Inside temp 82, sun nearly set. I'm glad I got the 15k but and not the standard 13.5k but. Door Frame to bathroom is falling off. Easy fix, but, why should I be fixing anything in a brand new unit that has not even been used yet. I thought I was stepping up a little from Forest River junk. Not even a little. Well, it came with Goodyear tires. I have not even begun to raise he'll, but, I promise it is coming. Does anything good one out of Elkhart, Indiana? I have yet to see it. If you cannot afford an Airstream or similarly overpriced camper that reaches the acceptable level.......and I have heard bad things about the insanely priced units also.......just buy a tent. These manufacturers need to be taught a lesson. If I can get this brand new Junko road worthy, first stop will be Elkhart. I want some answers from the greedy owners before I dump this shitpile of tin on their lawn. Screw you Jayco. I'm sorry. You don't understand that word. I forgot the missing nuts on the tongue jack.

I purchased my camper new March of 21. Upon orientation several things were broke. Rear awning did not work, sinks and toilets leaked, entry door would not shut properly. After the firs trip we had several issues. Dishwasher prep exploded and flooded camper, garage door retention cable jammed causing door not to open and more fixture leaks. Contacted Jayco several times of warranted items. Absolutely no help. Took in for warranty repair and all claims were denied not to many ion the service department at purchasing dealer is a joke. The list of problems still continue on. Main awning snapped hit my unit damaged my golf cart and was not covered under warranty. I called Jayco and I quote” you were not standing there with the awning when this happened de we deem it misuse because it was unattended “. What kind of response is that? Current day, my roof is delaminating per Jayco but not covered, hot water works when it feels like it, door still doesn’t close properly, cabinets are falling apart, wood accents are discoloring, rear awning still broke, side deck frame has 3/4 inch gap from structure and bolts for mounting are stripped and installed crooked, subfloor not attached to frame, screws coming from exterior to interior are exposed, flooring buckling door lock on rear entry has never worked, auto level will not work, hydraulic lines leak, and the list goes on. Jayce will not respond to any claims filed nor any complaints filed. 143000 dollar camper and absolutely no help from manufacturer fixing their poor quality control defects. Jayco is the leader in the industry if you would like to be the proud owner of a P.O.S. that doesn’t seem to have anything covered under warrant and has by far the worst craftsmanship I have ever seen. My unit looks like it was built at 4 ocklock on Friday and they close at 5. Awesome!!! Anyone else share my aggravation and disappointment???

Purchased this RV so we could take a golf cart but found we didn’t need to so going back to traditional 5th wheel. I have been very please with the quality and easy of use and set up of this 5th wheel, The hydraulic leveling system is great . it’s just not the model for us. Towed easy. Wife was pleased with amount of hot water all the time, a fresh water dispenser at kitchen sink, ease of TV set up. Has RV fridge but has plenty of room also it ran on propane while traveling. Plenty of heat in cooler temperatures and fireplace helped. Does have a recliner that is being replaced under warranty (came with split from factory) Great panty space and full size oven. Almost every option available. Full body paint with an added clear coat protectant besides manufacturers.
