Had the rv for over 5 years. Most of the experience was great! Problems first: IRV electronics AM/FM/BT broke, but replaced with a cheap Kenwood and actually wired it. The original mattress was like sleeping on pounded sand, so replaced it with an 8" Cool Gel and much better. Typical screws, doors, windows, slides, and my bed support needed fixing. Overall, the AC 13.5 worked great, the furnace was noisy but kept me warm, the Frig worked fair unless the propane got low and the pilot light would go out. People would comment on my Baja height, which I could put the generator, Beer cooler, and other stuff underneath. After all my use, I sold it for more than I bought it. It was that in demand.

Do not buy! This trailer was ordered in late 2021 and received in February of 2022. During the walk through we found that the entry door was warped and would not latch. The manager told us that he would order a new door and he would contact us when the door was ready to be installed. This took another 5 months because he forgot to order it. When the door finally arrived and we were asked to bring the trailer back to the dealer to have the door replaced, they kept it for another 3 weeks. It was supposed to be ready in 3 days. When we were getting ready to use it for the first time, we discovered that the water tank was not strapped down and was resting on all the sensing wires, the wiring was faulty and outlets did not work. The bathroom door does not close and latch, various screws are stripped, the refrigerator did not work due to poor wiring, there is a floating wooden fender cover under the slide-out, which is not secured. On our third trip using the trailer, the awning began to roll out while driving. We had to pull over and manually roll the awning back in and hold it with bungie cords for the duration of our trip. The awning motor spins but will not retract the awning. There are staples on the walls and ceiling covered with drywall spackle, which does not match the paint, unpainted trim, and torn netting covering one of the shelves. These items were brought to the attention of the manager when the entry door was being replaced, and he promised that all concerns would be addressed. They were not, but we were now halfway into our summer and wanted to use our camper, as is, rather than wait another 5 months+ for additional repairs. We bought a lemon!

We wanted a smaller travel trailer to quick and easy access into RV parks and National Parks. We didn't want a heavy load to tow and the Hummingbird is light weight. In addition, we are hybrid campers where we have a bed and bath when needed in our trailer but like to also stay at hotels and Airbnb so we didn't need a big rig.
The Jayco Hummingbird is fantastic for quick weekend warrior trips and small enough to store the rig in our RV garage at home.

This camper is great for one or two people especially those new to camping with a travel trailer. The rear kitchen makes is really nice when you're eating outside and you need to go in and out of the kitchen for items when setting up or cooking. The kitchen's right there at the door. Dinette is in a great place and easy to use. You can just slide the table around as needed. There's enough storage for the basics and its easy t keep clean.
