We owned both Type A and Type C motor homes prior to owning the JAYCO Jayfeather 25RB travel trailer, and we can say that our experience with the Jayfeather was much better by far. For us the affordability and the cost / benefit comparison favored the travel trailer by far; and this cost effectiveness, extends to maintenance and insurance costs, making it the more budget-friendly option for us. We feel the Jayfeather floorplan was much more practical and comfortable than we had with our prior motor homes. The kitchen configuration and the bench-style seating in the dining area was both efficient for meal preparation and dining. We also like the versatility of being able to unhitch the trailer and travel around town without being concerned about access and parking, making shopping and sightseeing more convenient.

We have had several issues with our 3 year old camper. A few during our warranty which were never resolved and several after the warranty. It's poorly made with cheap materials. Our countertops are loose and yellow stains have appeared on our laminate floor and countertops because of the cheap glue they used. Windows are thin, and not engineered to be driving without a window breaking. Decals have bubbled, cracked and peeled off. I would not buy a Jayco again. I have seen 25 year old campers ( other brands of course) in better shape than our 3 year old Jayco.

Purchased this used in 2021 from single owner who purchased new in 2020 and only used 3 times and stored in their garage. Was excited to find ad wife liked the floor plan. We researched and thought we were buying a high quality RV. We were wrong as cabinet draws falling down on tracks due to lack of proper fastening holding tracks. Valences and curtain shades not properly fastened. Thetford toilet leaked at connection to black tank . When started to repair dropping the plastic corrugated underbelly cover was shocked to find that all wiring was laying loose on underbelly cover along with lots of food wrappers, screws, pieces of black plastic , loose water and propane lines. Heating duct work full of screws holes and tares from the under belly screws puncturing it when underbelly installed. Called Jayco about issues . Jayco was quick to let me know there was no warranty and I stated I knew that. Explained the findings in underbelly and sent photos. They had no comment and when asked for a wire diagram they stated they don’t have one and that they don’t know what wires go to what. There was a bare red wire exposed above the fresh water tank which was pinned between the frame and tank. They had no clue where it went. I disassembled and found it was just extra scrap wire someone most likely intentionally put there as there. When you pay over $40,0000 dollars for something you expect to receive a product that is safe, functional works and is of quality. Jayco bragging about their Amish workmanship a JOKE. Never buy a Jayco product unless you want lots of issues with workmanship and quality. Build quality is BAD!!!!!

For starters the first trip the fridge didn't work wouldn't get cold and the cabinet door is cracked and tv along with awning lights didn't work. Took it to Camper world had it 3 months ok repaired except the cabinet door. Took it back on Halloween 2021 for a regulator recall and now 3 cabinet doors are coming apart and refer still not staying cold. Called in April of 2022 still waiting on cabinet door picked it up used on 3 day trip light in pantry light not working. I replaced sensor not waiting again. Used this week 2 blocks from home holding tank for the rear kitchen sink falls off going down the road dragging the plastic cardboard underlayment (tank was empty) picked tank out of road, went on to campground. Called Broadmoor RV in Tri-cities Washington where we bought it NEW and was told warranty was up 3 months ago.... Never again we bought this thinking we were buying quality not so much... My dad was a Jayco dealer in Spokane Wash in the 70's and 80's we never had so many issues and they stood behind their product...

I can't believe that we are the only one with this issue. This camper is equipped with what I will call wing windows on the front sides of the trailer. These windows do not stay closed when you are driving down the road. Our local dealer supposedly reached out to Jayco and they came up with that the windows panes were too large. So they sent the dealer two new ones made 1/4" smaller. These windows are 2 or more feet tall and a foot or so wide. Did they really think that was going to stop the flexing/opening as you were hauling down the road! Well it didn't. Another stop gap thing they tried was to put weather stripping around the window - REALLY! I love the layout of this camper and supposedly Jayco will stand behind their product when we develop further issues with the windows. But why should we have to wait - we will probably send it down the road before that ever happens.

I ordered this Jayco model 27RL from the factory in 2020. We loved the floor plan, the exterior design and the interior design. When we took deliver, we completed a thorough walk through and all seemed fine. We decided to do a short local shake down trip and this is where the disasters began. The wall paneling between the bedroom and the bathroom was not fastened properly and had a huge bulge. The gas appliances failed, an exterior speaker was not working, the slide would not close properly and had a cut in the fabric on the top and the trim in the living room came loose. I made an appointment took the rig to Richardson's RV in Riverside Ca. I dropped off my trailer I was told that it would be at least six weeks before I could pick it back up. I told them I have a cross country trip planned. I was able to pick up my trailer a week before I started my trip. All of the items were addressed. As for the gas appliances I was told they found a pinched line the first day of the trip my gas appliance's failed again. Since I was a full day away for my service center I contacted Jayco service center in Indiana and explained my situation. I was told to take it to an authorized Jacyco service center. All of the service centers were booked 2 weeks out. I contacted Jayco again and asked if there was anything they could since I was on a trip the reply was, take it to a service center an get a motel room. That would have been a $2500.00 extra expenditure and loss of my future deposits. We ended up purchasing Ice chests and cooking on a colman stove for the next six weeks. When we returned I dropped of the trailer for the repeat repairs. This time they changed all the regulators which solved the problem( I thought). We are on another cross country trip and the gas for the refrigerator has failed again and the black water handle broke in the closed position now we have to use truck stop facilities. we are going to sell this LEMON. When we reach our destination in NC we are going to sell this headache even if it a loss and return home without it. We have had 3 travel trailers in the past and have NEVER had the issues we have with this Jayco.
