2019 Jayco Class C reviews

Great all around motorhome ! Small enough for easy parking but plenty of space with 3 slides. One of the few motorhomes that you can get to bathroom ,refrigerator and bed while moving(closed slides). A lot of space for company. We even fit a child's cot at the end of our bed for grandchild's visit. Show less

It has a great floor plan. Lots of storage compartments. Great traveling home for sure. Easy to operate and live in it if desired. Very clean /no accidents/no salt water. Comfortable bed. With curtains and small cover on ceiling it can be made dark enough to be able to sleep in in the mornings or take naps during the day. Show less

We just purchased this Jayco Redhawk class C. The interior was beautiful and it was making checkmarks for everything we wanted. The onboard generator was a great plus. Our sales person, Jake Wittlow, was very knowledgeable about our needs. Also a very personable gentleman with a happy demeanor. The finance, gentleman, Eric, very friendly and professional. We have loved owning this RV. From road trips to tailgates and sports events, it has been such a pleasure owning this! Traveling with our 3 kids and 2 dogs it has been roomy and comfortable. We would love for another family to own and love this RV so they can make memories and enjoy life with their kids. We have RV'd with our extended family as well. We drove from Mass to Hilton Head, as well as to Cape Cod, Maine, and Vermont. We visited National Parks like Acadia and we did beach trips. We have loved being able to bring our dogs on vacation and wish we could keep it. Unfortunately because 2 of our kids are heading to college it is not something we can make use of right now but we definitely intend to own another RV in the future. Whether you are a seasoned camper or newer to RVing like we were, we know you will have fun with it. The kids love being able to sleep and relax while we travel. Show less

The Jayco Precept 29V is not huge, and I probably wouldn't want to live in one full time. However, at 32 feet it is comfortable for several weeks at a time and it's easy to maneuver into nearly any park or campground and many boondocking locations. The single slide minimizes potential mechanical difficulties of having multiple slides. The galley is modest but contains every convenience of your home kitchen. One of my favorite floorplan features is the dinette placement on the patio side. Who wants to eat meals looking at the utilities or your neighbor's patio!? And there are many other features we like, such as a full shower that accommodates my 6'2" frame with no problem, king-sized bedroom, another bed (queen) that is tucked up against the ceiling of the cab until you use the power feature to lower it for use. And don't forget the large tanks for fresh and waste water, propane, and a large onboard generator making it easy to go several days without hookups. Oh, and did I mention the Ford V10 has plenty of power to flat tow a full-sized SUV? There are just too many cleverly engineered features of this RV to list individually. Show less

This is our third Jayco recreational vehicle. Prior to this class A, we owned a Jayco Class C and a Jayco travel trailer. The great 2-year warranty was longer than most manufactures offer. We appreciated the fact that the company employs Amish workers. Jayco's Magnum Truss Roof Design is 50% stronger than its competition. We also appreciate that Jayco attempts to utilize every inch of space to create ample storage. We have heard from other campers that during 2020-2021 & the Covid pandemic, the Recreational Vehicles that were being produced at a very rapid speed, due to high consumer demand - were found to have numerous issues with them. We have a 2019 Jayco Precept 31 UL and have never had an issue or problem with our awesome motorhome. Buying an RV is like purchasing a car or truck...you never know if it's going to be a "lemon" or not. Even the most expensive RVs can encounter flaws. We have owned three used motor homes and decided to purchase a brand new one for retirement. We looked at a lot of them and liked the floor plan of this one. We also did some research and thought it would be a wise choice. Little did we know that it was our biggest mistake. We have 10, 674miles on it. Why so little? We have not been able to use it due to all the issues we have had with it. We are lucky that I am a mechanic and have been able to fix most of them. We brought it new and brought it home and the electric step quit working. We had a leak in the fitting of the black water. Water was siphoning out of the fresh water tank….by the time you got to your destination you were lucky to have a third of a tank of water. I figured out by myself out how to fix it. Jayco tech support told me not to put so much water in it. Refrigerator issues for 2 years before we got it solved. I ended up fixing it with tech support from Norco. Jayco service center had it for 6 weeks one time. Jayco support put in a new cooling system and computer board which did not solve the issue.. The issue was that it was not. reliable and quit as many as 7 times in one day. We have a trike that we pull behind so we have been gone longer than a day so we had to dispose of food. Two years ago a wire came off the water pump and I fixed it. Access to it is terrible. This year I had to replace the water pump. The levelers quit leveling so Jayce tech support emailed me a manual. I went thru the process and that worked for a little bit. I now level it manually as I am tired of fighting with it. The side compartment door leaked like crazy so Jayce replaced it. It fit so tight that it popped open going down the road and we lost our $85 windshield cover. We have metal shavings that continue to come out of the roof so we have to vacuum them up on all trips. The wood front of the refrigerator door fell off. All that was holding it was a few small staples from the inside. Molding has had to be fixed in many locations. I feel we are actually missing a piece in the bed area….at least it looks like it should have a piece. The USB port in front does not work. I may have forgot a few things. All of our rvs have had a spare tire but this one doesn’t have one. I purchased one and found out that they don’t have a bracket for one. I had to add this. There is not chalking in places where it should be. I have had more issues with this camper than the three other ones we owned all together. Would I recommend you buy one……Absolutely Not. Every time we took it to the service center, it was a 150 mile round trip. We have difficulty with the gps so we use our cell phone instead. It is not user friendly. Show less

From the time we bought this motorhome it has spent more time at the dealer than with us. The awning needs repairs and Jayco is denying the warranty claim. Here is their response: The manufacture of the awning, Carefree, declined the replacement. They stated it is weather related issues and not a defect. I bought this RV new. Have never been in an RV, let alone driven/ owned one. I drive it hard the first two years to get all the kinks out of it. The warranty, although slow and time consuming, was well used. I’m pretty sure all the kinks are worked out. I am a nurse so use my RV about 4-6 months out of the y at on travel assignments. It’s very roomy for one person. One of my dislikes is the little sofa. After an hour….it’s just comfortable. I’d love to figure out how to put recliners in. The other dislike is the ladder for the overhead bed. Holy moly; it is so difficult to get up that ladder and into the bed. It is straight up. I wish they would come up with a longer ladder to create a better incline. Driving my RV is really comfortable. I don’t feel any increased weight or pull when towing my Jeep. I love this little house of mine! Show less

This is the single best purchase I have every made. Never had one problem with this rig other then the minor things. Jayco warranty has been awesome. Drives like a small van and handles like a dream. Show less
