2018 Jayco Class A - Gas reviews

This is a very livable and easy Class A RV. Its inside and outdoor living space is excellent. Can go anywhere with large gas, water and waste tanks. Very low hours on generator and great for boomdocking. Easily tows a toad. I towed a mini cooper and didn't even know it was there. Ready to go anywhere with fresh service and newer tires! Show less

This model is a great, lower-priced, entry level motor home. Low cost, great towing capability while offering a floor plan that is great for two people but can accommodate up to six if need be. The overhead offers a great area for storage. It's shorter length is conducive to fitting into shorter driveways, saving on monthly storage fees. It is also great for shopping malls with small parking spaces and tight fitting RV sites. It has a roomy bedroom with a less-to-go wrong, single slide out. I love the queen size bed with side tables on both sides. Also, the bed is walk-around. No climbing over your partner to get in or out of bed. Being the same level as the rest of the unit, there is no toe-stubbing risers. It also has a complete bed, no cutoff corners. Like any Class C, you have to make allowances for noise while driving. Careful packing and use of towels will help to cut down on rattling. Towing capacity is best in class. Combined with a shorter wheel base, one can flat tow a vehicle, boat, horse trailer or even another RV trailer and easily maneuver in tight spaces. 2018 Jayco Greyhawk With Peeling Seats I have a 2018 Jayco Greyhawk that is a absolutely nice looking coach with the full body paint. My only problem is with the seat fabric that they use - inferior material that is absolutely junk and they KNOW it! It peals after the two warranty expires. Can you imagine if your house furniture, car or truck seats peeled very early in life? No more customer good will since they know that are putting out junk. Show less

i have owned the Precept 35s for just over one year. We purchased it to see how we like RVing. In short, it was the most wise investment we have ever made! We love it so much that now it is for sale and we are buying a new Jayco Precept! We LOVE the floor plan as it offers free movement, more than enough storage, and many extra features... such as the heated, vibrating recliners, efficient convection microwave, and upgraded dream dinette and both captain's and reclining passenger's chairs. awsome expirience, storage, floor plan for the greyhawk 29 me, comfortably easy to drive lot storage out side and inside, very nice and ample bathroom, queen bed is really nice and the bedroom is so roomy, that I have space to my office 2 tv' s I feel like this is my real vacation home and the best for all is the quality of the craftsmanship and materials which jayco built this rv. do not missed the opportunity to really enjoy your life. Great RV with all the options and flexibility you need with great quality. Never an issue with anything on this rig. Construction is solid. No shakes or rattles. Drives easy peasy. More features than any of the other brands already built in. Show less

Good rig not so good support. Ask Jayco tech about connecting cables to house battery. Instead of admitting he didn’t know or getting the information from someone who did know he told me that the double cable always goes to ground. Following his instructions I blew the reverse polarity fuses. Learned that the double cable always goes to positive not negative. Jayco uses all unmarked black wires, a very bad choice. Show less

We were so pleased when we bought this "Like New" Jayco Redhawk from Campers Inn as it appeared brand new and with only 8,000 miles on it. it rides firm (no rocking as some others do) and drives very straight. We bought and had the dealer install new "stuffed" recliners to watch the large TV and a new mattress as well. As a pilot, I am always concerned with the mechanicals so in addition to the multi-point inspection of the dealer, I had the largest and most reputable RV maintenance company in RI do its own thorough multi-point inspection. They fixed a "sticky" shower curtain slider door, installed the new $1,000 mattress, a "grab bar" on the screen door to prevent a hand from inadvertently going through the screen and installed a removable "Door Shade" entry door window cover for privacy and better night sleeping. They also installed a new 20" ROKU HDTV in the master bedroom. We watch streaming movies from all "NETFLIX' and "HBOMAX" or any other streaming channels using our phone "Hot Spot" and also get excellent Internet service from virtually everywhere. Nothing but a disappointment. The trouble started on the first trip over 3 years ago, and has not stopped yet. We have had problems with slide rooms not opening or closing since day one, and have not been resolved. The hot water heater fell out driving down the road. Cabinets have fallen off the walls. Several electrical issues have presented themselves. The Leveling system has started having issues since a recall was performed last month. We have taken our RV back to Jayco's factory three times, and all three times it has come back unrepaired, with more problems than it originally left with. We have had multiple roof leaks, mostly from things that come loose from the factory using self tapping fasteners. The fresh water system continues to have new leaks where the fittings come loose. Jayco's craftsmanship is the absolute worst I have ever seen. We have never made a successful trip, where the camper did not need to return to a repair facility after being used. Don't walk away from a Jayco, RUN AWAY. Show less
