2017 Jayco Class A - Gas reviews

Purchased new from a reputable dealer in Florida . Jayco customer service very responsive, quickly replaced a leaky window under their two year warranty.. The coach has been extremely reliable with a few minor issues over 40,000 miles. Ford V10 engine with tow/haul has been trouble free. Interior quality very good. Large basement compartments with pass throughs. No issues with genset , AC or appliances. Cab noise louder than I would like. Overall quality good. Show less

We have 14k miles on the unit, and for the most part we love our Greyhawk. It is amazingly insulated from cold and heat; A/C works great and heat in cold climates works wonderful. We have the double door frig/freezer and it works wonderful. Not thrilled with the Furion TVs that were installed, but since we don't watch a lot of TV, we put up with it. Also not thrilled with the pull-out couch and we're going to look into swapping it out for entertainment recliners since we don't need the extra pullout bed. Did not have a stability/sway bar initially and we installed one ourselves which gave tremendous driving improvement on corners. That is a Ford malfunction and should be standard on this type of higher end Class C. Added King satellite and also solar panels and swapped out the standard 12v coach battery to 2 6v batteries which was a significant investment and has paid for itself. One major drawback is the Jensen radio/camera unit. Turn cameras are great but the backup camera has failed for the 3rd time now in 7 years. Off warranty and Jayco did really screw the customer with this model because the cable connection is 5 pin to the camera (specific to this Jensen unit) so we can't get a better, more reliable camera system without changing out the ENTIRE radio/satellite/camera station and even then, the wiring is all interior to the walls of the Greyhawk so new wiring would have to be run on the outside of the interior walls of the coach and not something we want to see. We do have an option to dump the Jensen backup camera only and use another product, which we may just do. As it is, $450 to replace just the backup camera including labor and that's steep when you're on the 3rd camera in 7 years. Show less

We bought this in 2018 it was brand new 2017. It is very easy to drive. Only 8400 miles on it. Everything is automatic. Black leather every seat. Nice cabinetry it has 2tvs a dvd player outside speakers.it will sleep 8. It has automatic self levelers. The slide out is the whole side of camper Show less

Overall we thoroughly enjoy our motorhome. However I think jayco could put alittle more quality on the inside of the motorhome. We have had closet and cupboards with the center piece fall out. They are held in place with silicone. the corner moldings needs to be stapled back in place. The screws in the floor have come up and gone through the vinyl flooring. Jayco needs to spend alittle more quality on the inside even you you have to raise the price. Show less

Best RV I have ever owned. The Greyhawks are super nice with power seats, power awnings, power levelers, rear and side cameras. The 2017 is befor Kay I was sold to Thor so the quality is amazing! The 31ds has the best floor plan and the highest quality materials available. These are hard to find so I’m glad I picked one up. Show less

This was an awesome RV for our first one. The length and 2 slides made for ample space for our family of 5, and the auto-leveling, easy set-up, tankless water heater, and overall ease of use made this RV so much fun to use! We used it boondocking and full-hookups, easy to use either way. The pantry is a hidden treasure, easily held enough food for a full week of camping. We found that using an outside cab cover was best, being able to use the cab space added so much usability to the living area. The auto-awning with LED lights was super easy to bring in and out in windy conditions, and the fridge and furnace being dual electric-gas was very convenient. Show less

I love this RV and the time that I have spent camping I lost my co-pilot (my Baby girl Heidi...doggie) and now I don't go out anymore. It is very easy to drive and convenient, easy to set up large living area with pull out queen bed and swivel seats for more visitors. Will include additional bedding topper and any of the items that I have used when I went out. Stove tops have never been used. Just the microwave. It has a new windshield and new filters in all of the air conditioning areas. Show less

We bought a Jayco 2017 precept the main slide floor is rotted Jacob will not take care of it a three-year coach should not have a rotted out floor the dealer tried to get Jayco to replace it now it's going to be costing approximately $3,000 to get it repaired thinking about filing a lawsuit Show less

I bought a 2017 Jayco precept 35s in 2020 the main slider is already riding Jacob will not do anything about it I think we are considering doing a class action suit against Jayco there's no reason why the 2017 coach main slide should be rotted out Show less

Floor plate was what decided it for us - having couch and dinette across from each other makes it easier for visiting than when all in a row. The cab-over entertainment center and cupboards are excellent. There is ample storage throughout this Unit. Lighting is excellent. The oven is a bit small. The bed I thought was one of the most comfortable beds I have slept on. We towed a 1999 Saturn wagon and the unit hardly knew it was there. The on demand water heater was excellent - giving you the ability to set the water temperature for your shower with just opening the HW shower valve. While the cab over does limit your view - we got used to it very quickly. The auto-leveling system is excellent. The AC/Heatpump is definitely the way to go in mildly cold weather so as not to have to use propane for heat. A very nice product the Jayco Greyhawk 30X. Show less
