We purchased our Jayco Jayflight in 2011. We have LOVED our trailer, and have enjoyed many family holidays in it.
During the warranty period, water had entered our trailer through the outdoor kitchen door, as well a at the top of the slides. Eaves were installed by our dealer at that time at no cost to us; however, we continued to notice water on the carpets at the base of the slides.
This past summer, we noticed a soft spot in the floor of the dinette slide.
We took our trailer to a reputable 5-star RV repair service for diagnostics (not the dealer this time as we weren't confident in their ability to correctly diagnose the source of the water).
It turned out that the hot water heater had not been sealed correctly during original installation/construction, and has been leaking into the floor of our trailer for seven years. As well, the underside of the trailer was not sealed completely during contruction which allowed water from the road to enter from underneath the trailer. The entire floor of the trailer had to be replaced; essentially, the trailer was gutted, and rebuilt.
The cost to us to repair our trailer was $19,000 CDN.
Our dealer gave us $600, and Thor aka Jayco matched the $550 for a total of $1,150.
So we are out of pocket $17,800.
Will we purchase a Thor product in the future? No.
Going Canadian next time - BIG Foot or LTV or Pleasureway.

This has been a fantastic trailer for our family, with room for four to sleep comfortably and up to six if needed. We've traveled throughout the Rocky Mountain states in a variety of weather and had no problems. The hot water heater is very efficient and runs on either gas or electricity as does the refrigerator. There is ample storage, both in the trailer and accessible from the outside. Jayco is well know for the quality of materials and workmanship and we've absolutely found that to be the case. If you're looking for an affordable, easy to tow trailer with brand new tires and a battery powered tongue jack, this is the rig for you!

It's been great living in this RV for two years. I love the wardrobe space, pantry, and storage. The only thing I would change is to have the wardrobe slide out with the couch instead of it being only a half length slide out (6ft). We haven't had any problems with it so far but we strongly recommend sealing around every seam, outlet, light, or accessory on the outside because we noticed Jayco only does the top half at the factory. This could be a problem in Florida especially during heavy sideways rains. Also recommend a stabilizer for towing as it makes everything a lot smoother.

This trailer has all the amenaties. It is lite and extreamly easy to tow with most any SUV. It is just the right length to easily maneuver in all state/national park campgrounds. The craftsmanship inside and out is top notch. I like that the heating is ducted to all ares of the trailer including the bathroom, this makes for very comfortable interior when in colder temperatures. The air conditioner keeps the inside cool in the hottest temperatures when AC hookup is available. This trailer is great for families with children.

We like our Jay Feather, but recently we had trouble with the brakes. Took it to Ketelsen RVs, the dealer we bought it from and found that three of the brakes had never been used. We have been stopping it with our truck and just one brake. This should have been adjusted at the factory. We also were told the grease was inferior and had leaked from bearings to the brake pads. The three brakes that were not being used had cobwebs in them. The brake that was being used had a part break and was missing, the noise from it is how we discovered we had a problem. Safety wise this is unacceptable quality. I spent over $700 repairing them. We bought the camper new and use it only a few times a year. We will have seriously to consider this problem when we decide to buy another camper.

My wife and I bought this trailer new and use it about twice a year. We regret the purchase. The key fob that lifts the top does not work. The refrigerator broke two months after warranty ran out. It is unrepairable. The cover on the breaker box fell apart. A slight nudge will cause the table to collapse. Wood surround on the range top crumbled. Support for sink when folded, fell off. The quality of this unit is seriously lacking.
