We downsized from a 45-foot 2008 Newmar Mountain Aire to the 24-foot Winnebago View-Profile. The primary advantage has been much lower operating costs and drivability. The View goes anywhere a van can go and parks anywhere a large pickup can. Towing a vehicle for use after setting up camp is entirely optional as the View can make that run to Walmart for supplies as easily as a car. Being a Class C, we are able to take our furry friends along just as we did in the Mountain Aire, which was our primary reason for not trying out a towable RV. Being a V6 diesel fuel engine, the View has good low end towing power and great gas mileage. It goes down the road quit well. While we miss the space in our Mountain Aire and the convenience of the things we carried for a second home, the move to a Class C so my wife could drive was worth the change.

My brand new 2024 View 24V was purchased on Sept. 7th, 2023. It has been at the dealer, Crowley RV for repair since September 13th, 2023. It is now October 23rd and I was just informed water is still leaking into the vehicle. The leveling system has malfunctioned with me and with those trying to seek out a reason why this is happening. The fact that it has not happened in a week means nothing because nobody can get to the bottom of why it happened in the first place. I am only grateful when the brake failed I required a tow to Mercedes. Thank goodness their service director has integrity enough to be honest. Told me they sold me a lemon.
I want you..Winnebago to buy back this vehicle. I hate that I am going to have to get legal help to deal with your dishonesty, lack of integrity and the absolute fraud involved in the sale of this vehicle. I am ready to file complaint for consumer fraud. I will also share my experience relentlessly on any public forum conceivable.
Your politics and handling of this is despicable.
Buy back this vehicle and stop robbing of my time and money!

Although my region is marked as Idaho, I purchased my RV in Kalispell Montana.
On my first trip and first use of my shower, there was a major leak and the shower-head broke. The mobile RV repair man found out that the shower drain pipes were not fully connected and tight. The shower-head broke in my hand and had to be replaced. The Truma aqua-go didn’t seem to work. Found out the levers under the bed were in the wrong position and didn’t allow the hot-water to flow. The under sink water filter was leaking.
The upgrade auto leveling Jacks wouldn’t retract. Had to talk with Winnebago to find out there was a reset switch in the battery compartment. And that was my first trip.
Later, my compartment door had large gaps on the bottom right side and upper right side. An attempt to have it fixed by a certified Winnebago service didn’t fix the problem. They told me that they tried to fix it but I just needed to close it harder. The sliding screen door broke and had to be replaced. The auto step stopped working and the motor needed to be replaced. The under-sink cupboard door support which is in front of the sink and behind the door, came completely off and I could not secure the doors until fixed.
The overhead bed compartment got all wet because the rainwater running off the roof was flowing into a large gap where the cab met the living compartment. Come to find out, Winnebago manufacturing failed to seal the joining parts. There were and are little things that are just poor manufacturing controls..
And now. 2 1/2 months after having that screen door fixed, it’s broken again. This time outside the warranty. Also, I had an RV repair guy look at my door and he pointed out that the door is warped. One can clearly see the separation of the inside door parts from the outside. I fear the whole door needs to be replaced. I am surprised the certified service repair guys didn’t see it. Maybe they were hoping that my height wouldn’t allow me to see it pulled apart at the top.
Would I buy this rig again having had so much trouble? Sadly NO.

As with many new RVs, there were minor issues which were quickly resolved at the dealer - hence the 4-star quality rating.

It is much easier to drive than our older class A. Decent mileage (13 - 14), good power up hills. Power converter is nice for small ac appliances, like CPAP. Quality is lacking (as in most rvs). Wheel sensors fail on almost every trip (this is an issue with Mercedes and everyone complains about it). Mercedes had to change warranty for sensors but it takes weeks to get into a shop (not good on a trip). Upholstery is fake leather that cracks, tears (junk)
Window screens (for night) are cheap and dont stay closed. 20k miles and have replaced: 4 wheel sensors, hot water heat computer, power converter, cabinet braces, and fixed ac. Bottom line, it is an rv and always needs repairs. The wheel sensors make it a no-buy unless you are mechanically inclined.

Oowned a 2020 WInnebago View 24V for a year. Overall great coach. Had leak problems in overhead bunk and other problems here and there. I have owned multiple RV's.
Bottom line - Dont let these sorry RV Dealers touch your rig if it breaks. Go to the factory in IOWA its worth the trip! I go once a year even though its 1400 miles away. Dealers love selling RV's but are totally incompetent to fix them. The factory knows the rigs and can fix all problems noted by others very easily.
Winnebago is better than most like those sorry Thor products - heard nothing but horror stories!

We purchased this 2019 new from a dealer. All house batteries went bad within first month. After minor use, door to camper not working properly. Latch to hood broke right away. Inverter didn’t work, had to pay to fix. The display totally gave up, but manufacturer paid for, but we had to cover labor. Refrigerator gave up and looks like it’s the thermostat that’s bad.
Everything that went bad, Winnebago said we’d have to go through the manufacturer’s warranty. The only one that covered anything, was the display maker. This would have cost us 2,500 more if it had been 1 month later.
All in all, Winnebago has done nothing for us, and will not be a return customer.
