We purchased this trailer based on the salesperson's recommendation of paying a little more to have the quaility of a Winnebago. We had owned a smaller one for 4 years and were thrilled with the quality. NO MORE. We were told by several repairman that worked on our new trailer (We had 34 repairs with 3 1/2 weeks of gentle use staying in only 2 different RV spots and driving less than 200 km on paved road) that these were called the covid trailers and Winnebago had the worst reputation. Within 6 weeks of use, we had over 43 repairs and the trailer had spent more time at the dealership than us camping. We had to cancel so many rv spots, often losing all our money. We tried to get hold of Winnebago and it was impossible. Sent so many emails and letters to the heads of Winnebago with NO RESPONSE. We had leaks throughout the trailer that caused damage everywhere. The hot water tank stopped working in the first 5 days, the pushout had to be fixed over 5 times and eventually completley redone. They had not sealed the outside wall so the water leaked through and under the dinette causing the cheap phony wood paper to bubble and the glued wood underneath warped. The outside door didn't work. The strut from the awning snapped out on the second time we used it. Thank goodness no one was standing close by. The shower leaked and the floor of the shower was spongy and soft because a piece of the structure was missing from under the floor. The water leaked and bubbled the floor. It leaked under the sink and the faucet fell off because there was a screw missing. A piece of the stove came off and on the first trip 98 km on paved highway, the doors all opened and things fell out onto the floor. The fabric on one of the dinette cushions just flaked off. The door handle on the fridge broke almost within 3 weeks, the spare tire on the back and the solar panel had to be repaired as part of a recall, as well as the LED panel on the stove which was overheating. All 3 or these recalls would have caused serious danger on the road and in the trailer. We left the trailer in a parking lot and went for the afternoon with friends to come back and hear the emergency gas detector going off. When you walk by the dials on the front of the stove, you can accidentally turn them on without knowing, which I guess we did. My granddaughter was with us so the possibilities terrified us. Now, every time we walk to the bathroom or the fridge, we have to double check all the knobs, which is a pain in the butt for sure. I don't have enough space to write it all. We have gone to small debts court, but Winnebago has hired a really high end lawyer and since we are retirees, we can't afford one. If anyone has had any problems with this or similar trailers could you please email us at lasttraintoParksville@shaw.ca. Thank you.

One nut fell off the towel bar one the stovetop and that's the only thing in 6000+ miles I've had go wrong. Hope this luck continues.

The bathroom door guide had to be replaced. The stovetop had a recall and needed to be fixed. Alarmingly, the exterior door does not stay closed , even when locked. Walking inside the camper or pulling it on the road causes the locked door to pop open

I bought this unit to live in full time, I've had a few issues. 1st, the Dometic 310 toilet would not hold water in the bowl. Turns out the seal would not fit properly due to a manufacturing flaw. 2nd, the water bypass valve has a leak. Since I'm on the road (Washington State), and not in Utah. I had to take it to an authorized Winnebago dealer. It's called Awesome RV, in Chehalis WA. They have been great, my only issue is Winnebago. They authorized the work (all warranty of course), but will not allow the dealers to purchase parts in their local area. Winnebago has to ship the parts themselves, and that's where the problem begins. The toilet, and the bypass valve are available right here in Washington. It took almost 3 weeks for them to ship these items. The valve came it with the wrong fittings, the dealer is now looking locally to find fittings. The toilet is yet to show up. All the while, I'm scrambling to find affordable housing until it's ready. My overall thought is this, my trailer seems to be built pretty good, there seems to be issues with some the parts they install. Awesome RV has been great to work with. I think Winnebago needs to address issues on their end. Allow the dealers to get the owners unit repaired and back onthe road. It would save me a lot of time and money. I wasn't planning to be in Washington as the rainy season begins. I like to be south where it's warmer. And dry.

I have less than 1000 miles on my new camper. So far: the propane tanks were overfilled and leaking so badly I got sick from the fumes. The battery was destroyed by the solar panel module that allowed too much energy to flow to the battery. It must have burst because the sulfuric acid smell was super strong . The door does not shut properly and will pop open when driving down the road or when someone walks heavily inside the camper. The slide out is hitting the interior trim and buckling it. The microwave had a bent screw inside it, causing a thunking sound. The dealership replaced it but when they did, the outlet fell apart and had to be replaced. The vent cover on the outside fell off on the highway. I am very discouraged by the poor quality of this camper.

Below is an e-mail I sent to customer support. On delivery, this unit had a broken bathroom skylight from overtightening the screws. The side panel on the pantry is broken and the gutter in the fridge was laying on a shelf, broken. The gas struts on the awning are both slightly bowed and are getting in a bind. The bad one is the rainwater leak in the wall at the egress window in the bedroom. I didn't know there was a leak until the wall started blistering. Couldn't believe my eyes what I saw up on a ladder. Again, Winnebago just sent the unit out for sale like this. Who does this BS? Winnebago! I have 5 pics of the exterior of this window if I can attach them. Recent e-mail follows. Let me say something right off the bat. I DID NOT push this window out. In case that wasn't clear, I DID NOT push this window out and that's the end of that. When I got on a ladder to cover the window with plastic, I could not believe what I was seeing. What I believe I was seeing was the worse case of shoddy workmanship on installation I have ever seen, and by Winnebago, not the window manufacturer. There is NO Vendor tag on the window. Who does this kind of work then sends the coach to be sold. This is a 2024 piece of crap. I've had more things go wrong with this coach, starting with a bathroom skylight that was cracked, broken and leaking. The Pic with the 25 cent piece is showing this window frame bent/bowed out without any caulking. The other Pics are self explanatory. Let me tell you something else. I bought this at Johnson RV in Fife, Washington. I have never seen a work place filled with so many incompetent people, including the service department. The only one knowing what he was doing was the guy filling in all the loan paperwork. The only thing I noticed during the walk through was that 1 exterior speaker was not working. It took them 8 Weeks, 8 WEEKS to get that speaker working. They ordered another speaker without checking anything else. The speaker was back ordered and took WEEKS to get, and then when they received it, guess what, the new speaker DID NOT work either. If they did not have an extra speaker to try they should of removed one of the interior speakers to try. If it didn't work they would know something was wrong somewhere else. Then it took them WEEKS to figure it out. One more thing. I'm having a Winnebago authorized Mobile RV Repair Co coming out to do the repair. This guy KNOWS HIS STUFF. He took an Airstream and turned it into a mobile Doctor's Office. It's refreshing to meet someone that actually knows what their doing. Next, this really sounds stupid to me, that Winnebago will not pay for the $180 Mobile Service Fee because it's for Convenance. In fife, Washington I wanted the service department to do a few things and inquired about the hourly cost for labor in the service department. They told me their labor for Service is $250 per Hour. $250 PER HOUR! I said no I will do it myself. My Mobile Guy charges $180 service and $120 per hour. So, instead of Convenance, Winnebago wants me to be Inconvenienced, take the coach into a dealership and have it be there for weeks, instead of getting it fixed on site in a day or so. Winnebago would rather have a dealership charge Winnebago $250 per hour fixing the wall and leak. Instead of having my Mobile guy fix it for $120 per hour. That mobile service fee would be more than paid for in 2 hours with labor @ $120 a hour. Winnebago would be saving money every hour after that. I've had it with the incompetence I've seen at the dealerships. Word-of-Mouth Advertising is free and can be good or BAD! Which way do you want to see this go? I want this fixed on sight and Winnebago paying the $180 fee. I don't understand why Winnebago would rather pay more money to get this fixed (MAYBE), at a dealership, when I have a guy who's competent and will do the job right, THE FIRST TIME, and not take weeks Where's the service after the sale? Get lots of attention before the sale, nothing afterwards. I choose Winnebago because the on-line reviews were favorable and I liked the floor plan and the solar. WAS I WRONG! Does Winnebago have any Quality Control? I hate to have to write all this but this is discussing and makes me sick that I could have made a bad choice with Winnebago. If I can't get this resolved favorably I will be doing some online reviews myself. Update: I received an e-mail this morning from Winnebago customer service, 8/28/24, and He acted like I never wrote any of the above. Beware of buying a Winnebago. I bought this in December of 23' and have been fixing crap both myself and a pro ever since. Buy at your own risk.

We purchased the 2019 2401RG new, based on Winnebago's reputation and quality. We love the floorplan with the bathroom entry from either the living area or the Master with two doors. Also the second exterior door going into the bedroom is a very nice feature. The storage space is well planned and plentiful for a 28 ft trailer. No warranty factory issues. This was our first RV experience and we have enjoyed it. We did add a Lippert one touch leveling system, which made set up and tear down a snap. It is worth every dollar. I can say that Winnebago has lived up to the high standard we expected when we purchased the RV new and has never disappointed. My wife and I highly recommend this model.

We absolutely loved the big double toy hauler doors and added a custom screen to enjoy the view. Purchased from the prototype at a Michigan camper show. Took ownership in December. Recalls came in and contacted the dealership to fix, since it was in their lot getting bent covers and such installed. In between trips it has gone back in for work. The issues seem minor, but have added up. Water heater was wired wrong and blew a fuse when the light were turned on. Awning was bent and didn’t close fully. The awning continues moving. Fresh water release doesn’t stay shut and the tank drains. Bathroom door is out of alignment and won’t stay shut during travel. Decals are lifting on the edges already. Workmanship quality is horrible. Laminate is cut crooked. Gaps can be seen. Dinette edging came off. Now access panel door won’t shut without lifting the edge padding. Every trip finds other issues. The main door is out of alignment and has to be slammed or played with to close the door. Just very disillusioned with the quality.
