Winnebago VIEW 24D reviews

Bought this Class C View last August, we down sized from a Tiffin Phaeton 40IH, and Entegra Anthem’s. We wanted to keep things easier with a smaller unit and for the most part it has been ok for livability, wish it had a washer dryer combo. The problem is Winnebago warranty is horrible. They will not pay for the time and trip charge to have. Mobile repair person fix your problem. They will only cover the repair if you take it to one of their dealers. That means drop it off and wait for two weeks for them to get to it, then go back and pick it up. This is the first and last Winnebago I will purchase, Tiffin and Entegra warranty departments went out of their way to resolve issues at their expense. Spend $160k and get crap from Winnebago. Problems so far that I have fixed myself, Main door solenoid detached from opener Water interior water leak due to loose fitting at Truma water heater Exterior Doors not closing properly Exterior mirrors not sides covered in paint overspray AC/Heat Pump fan will only operate on Hi mode low fan does not work this is unresolved due to Winnebago warranty policy of not paying for mobile service! We are done with Winnebago and will be selling or trading this 2024 24D with new King Shocks, new heavy duty leaf springs, and 48 gal fuel tank! Show less

Overall, we are very pleased with our 2019 Winnebago View 24D. It’s easy to drive and maneuver in traffic and a snap to get into and out of a camping location. We’ve taken our View into the mountains on public lands and used established campgrounds, but but primarily we enjoyed camping in friends and family's driveways. The on-demand hot water heater functions beautifully with instant hot water, and the propane furnace is excellent, switching to electric when available. The layout is awesome allowing maximum room for living, food preparation and cooking (outstanding amount of kitchen counter space). Storage inside and underneath is more than ample. Having a self-contained shower is wonderful. All of the water tanks (fresh, gray and black water tanks) are well sized to meet long use needs. The generator is a bonus and works beautifully for that extra bit of power to run the microwave and AC. Winnebago went all out to make all of its systems easy to operate and hassle free to ensure a safe and fun camping experience for us. Why are we selling this awesome RV? We hit our 70's and decided it was time to travel the world. This was our second RV, so we are experienced RV'ers and will work with the buyer, demonstrating how the RV works. This is a great RV, well made with tons of room inside for a 25 footer. It's a great floor plan with lots of nice features and built on a Mercedes Sprinter chassis. It's a great looking RV that looks so good you will be proud to go glamping in it. Great mileage (15mpg) and plenty of power for towing. Show less

Two things everyone should know that is considering buying a Winnebago View motor home. No one in our family can open the door with one hand. I am a 33 year old young lady (with no hand problems and average size hands) and I can’t open the main door into the coach without setting down what I am carrying to open the door with both hands and even then it’s a struggle to get it open. This is very annoying when trying to load anything in. They have it designed that you have to put your thumb on a specific spot and pull the handle out. I have grown up with trailers and have never seen such a bad design for the door handle. We brought the motor home to our local dealer who said they would “take a look at it” and nothing has changed on the ease of pulling the handle. Unfortunately, the adjustment they did make left a gap in the bottom of the door. Who wants to set down their load on the dirty ground? I want people to consider that this is a big problem. Problem two is you can’t run the convection microwave and induction cook top at the same time. If you do the induction cook top will stop running then beep and flash an error code. Again we brought it to our local dealership and nothing changed. This is really a pain when you are trying to make a dinner meal and warming up two things at once. Show less

Very great RV to travel and get great gas mileage for an RV. Diesel engine and drives great. Very easy to drive and park. Very safe Mercedes body and engine. The biggest pros are functional floor plan, easy to drive and park, great gas mileage and a very safe RV. The cons are you have to stay organized when sleeping and hanging out in RV. Sleeps 4 comfortably. Show less

First RV experience. Love it. So easy to drive and easily towed and launched a 16 foot boat. Lots of living space for a Class C. Murphy bed option and tankless water heater so nice! Basement storage is adequate for a class C Show less

Great RV, super easy to drive. The 24D floorplan offers the most inside floor space of any other RV of this size. Has a large kitchen counter windows on all sides, great size bathroom and is very comfortable. The murphy bed is great and provides more livable space when not in use. Show less

This was my first time RV ing, took a trip to Prescott Az. I was not impressed with my 2020 Winnebago view 24D, It really rode a little out of control, constantly liked to move either left or right, I was double knuckle all the way. Only thing I really love is C/control system, my BMW has the same system I was impressed how well it did the job, ac system failed miserably, sound of beeping awning wireless device was un bareable. The ride on suspension is great but control is not there completely! Got to take it back for repaire 60 miles away, Show less

Has anyone had trouble staying warm sleeping in this model??? At 30 to 40 degrees outside the furnace on two of these that I delivered would not maintain 70 degrees inside. I was glad it was not cold out. Previous years always seamed to work good down around zero. Show less
