I am a single camper with a dog. I wanted to love the camper I bought new Oct 2023 atLa Mesa RV. I had it 4 months and went to Georgia camping in January 2024. It was raining and very cold. My bathroom sky light started to leak rainwater badly. I had to buy a large tarp and the ranger helped me cover the roof till the rain stopped and I could head home. It says COMFORT TECH but when I ran the furnace I had condensation all inside the rear cabinets an kitchen sink area that I could see. The wood covering is peeling as others have said. On my way home I dropped it off at LaMesa RV in st Lucie fl. Winnebago blamed ME for not maintaining my roof. My response was 1 only had the camper 4 months. Thy then blamed La Mesa Rv for bad lot maintainence. It was ONLY then that LaMesa took off the skylight and found a bolt had cracked the plastic when it was installed. Then Winnebago fixed it. Two window shades have fallen down and I had to fix them. One of the side storage steel bins filled with water and ruined my vacuum I had stored there. I just emptied it and drilled a hole in the bottom so if it fills again it drains and I only store my chocks in there. This could have been a wonderful experience . Sad. And it is 2 hours up and 2 hours back from weston fl to LA Mesa in st Lucie to get service. BTW they had my trailer 6 weeks for the skylight. Another sad adventure. Thank you Show less

Sucks balls, AC don't work, heater don't work l, both trip breaker, water pump froze first time out. Tows well, micro works on 110 fridge works well other than that it's not worth the price. Easy to get into rugged places, high of ground so it don't bottom out, Show less

Rough and rugged with all the comforts of home. Small for towing but with a pull down bed and two couches it sleeps FOUR! The beds stow away for a roomy toy hauler. Includes a full kitchen, bath and shower inside. Incredible design to fit it all in, and tall enough to stand up! We absolutely loved the big double toy hauler doors and added a custom screen to enjoy the view. Solar panels already installed keep the fridge cold for boon docking, with the option of shore power and water when you prefer more luxury. Show less

I love the usability and looks! I love passing all the RVs set up right off the road as I head deep down the dirt road! I installed 800W solar panel and 600A of Li-ion batteries, DC air conditioner... totally off grid. The external frame is an absolute must! The BAD: Winnebago designed a wonderful off road trailer... then they blew it on build quality... black tank severely inadequately supported, all 4 bolts came loose at tank connection and spilled sewage... use lock nuts or lock washers for crying out loud! Sink connections leak because of shoddy plumbing quality of work. Fascia boards falling off because rushed glue job and very few screws. ALL wires and plumbing unsecured in all the places a customer can't normally see... lot's of repair and secure work. Window curtains and valances improperly secured. Base platform for water heater and furnace improperly built and secured. No cupboard or drawer secured, except for top cupboard above stove. Improper door lock adjustment where door can't be locked. BOTTOM LINE: Quality finishing build control receives an abysmal "F". Getting into a dealer in a timely fashion receives an "F". The trailer, once I fixed all the quality control issues, receives an "A"! Show less

First thing I didn't like about this RV was the handles on the lower drawers and cabinets that gouged my legs. It was recalled for this issue, but I had already taken my dremel to them. Next issue was the black water tank handle would not pull out. I didn't find this out until the warranty expired, because of covid. I spent $500.00 to get this repaired. I have not had the camper to a campground yet because of a broken back, but I hope this is the end of my problems. Show less

Given how tall this unit is, it is a beast to tow (even with sway bars and WDH). We've had a lot of issues. Kinked hoses, broken parts, black tank drainage issues. Have had it in for service once already and it still has more issues. The outside looks very cool and unique - we always get compliments on the exterior appearance. The layout is nice but there is no storage. We do like the larger bunks. Quality is lacking (especially for this price point). Wish we would have gotten an R-Pod. Show less

Pros: cool design, great towing with anti-sway bar (make sure you select one that will fit as the box up front precludes some brands) Cons: took on first trip for three weeks and very disappointed in workmanship: 1) could not use HVAC at all (was told by dealer in Connecticut that the fan slipped and was banging against the roof cover - they did not have time to fix 2) both sinks are leaking - some shelf delamination already from water damage 3) hot water heater wouldn’t work - called tech support and was told common problem due to bad batch of fuses 4) several screws worked loose, trim, stove, blinds, etc 5) loose outlets 6) trim around door peeling off 7) stabilizers virtually useless - not scissor type and they wobble at frame so no matter how much you tighten them trailer still shakes a lot 8) quite an issue with condensation - not just windows but around every seam. Mattress got soaked. Granted it did dip down to mid 40’s but I don’t recall having this issue on other campers I’ve owned. Show less

This is a fantastic camper with plenty of room throughout, although the shower is a bit cramped. It tows very well and is very insulated and quiet on the inside. It is light weight - 4K pounds fully loaded. The electric awning is a dream and very helpful in keeping the sun away from the windows. Refrigerator is roomy with a small freezer but big enough for a few days of meals inside. The microwave/convection oven was used primarily as a microwave - can't comment on the convection aspect. Bed is extremely comfortable and roomy. Show less

Update (the only other review for this product). Less than 6 months in, I have a camper I can't even use. It started with a sewer valve that wouldn't close (a piece of construction debris came out of the black tank). It's been downhill ever since. It's currently pending repair for the water heater (dead), refrigerator (dead), back window seal (fell off), and door lock (the door unlocks itself and opens in transit) - again, only 4 months in. :/ Show less

If you're looking for a well-built camper with an enclosed underbelly, this is a great option. Build - It's constructed with an aluminum frame and azdel insulation. If you're not familiar with Azdel, I'd never buy a camper without it - thicker insulation, doesn't mold, and low VOC (big difference e.g. the "camper smell"). The floor is also installed with screws, that's right, screws. The interior is still particle board, but it's covered with a durable/water proof covering. I like it b/c it's light gray and much more contemporary. Flooring is marine grade and seems to be pretty durable. Also has some nice details on the cabinets, but they're still laminate. Countertops are textured and seem to be pretty durable. Also, lots of light throughout. The 171DB - Best for singles and couples. The split floorplan is great - you really do feel like you have a separate bedroom. The pop-out also makes a big difference. Thoughtful, modern, built-ins throughout. Excellent storage (for a small camper) in the bathroom and kitchen. Storage (accessible from the interior) under 2 sides of the dinette. Also a small cabinet under the TV that's great for food or other items. No storage in the bedroom, but it does have a nice shelf, so I use collapsible baskets. Bathroom is also nice. Dry bath with a little counterspace, overhead storage (that's in the corner, so you won't hit your head) and under sink storage. Bedroom and dinette windows are designed to cross-ventilate and the bathroom fan actually vents the entire unit. Technology - Is pretty basic. It's prewired for solar (new units come with 100 watts). The stereo system is just okay. The tv is 110, so you'll need a generator to watch it. Outside speakers are fine. I plan to replace the interior speakers soon. Appliances - The 171DB comes with a convection microwave, dual burner (covered) range, and a dometic fridge that's about the size of a large mini-fridge. Fine for 1-2 people. It can also run on gas. Electrical System - USB ports throughout that are powered by the batteries, so you can you use them when the camper isn't plugged in, but they'll eventually deplete the battery (I added a 2nd) without solar. Enough energy to power the pop-out and interior lights. Solar will basically keep you topped up, but you'll need to add a generator to power AC (as with any camper). Furnace / Water Heater / AC - Pretty standard. The AC is a little loud. You can set the temp to a degree (hot to cold), but the fan always runs if it's on. I'm told it's pretty easy to install a thermostat if interested. There's a separate thermostat for the furnace. Water heater is 6 gallon with the ability to run on electricity and gas. With the comfort package, tanks are heated when the furnace runs (the furnace is ducted into the underbelly). They're not heated with powered pads. Unique Features - The outside rail system is incredible. It not only protects the trailer, you can attach just about anything to it - from yakima boxes to bikes. It also has an enclosed storage container for the tanks and batteries. Other Items (The Good) - I love the durability and raised frame. It also has a unique look that's a little different at first, but offer a lot of character. People tend to look when I drive down the road. If you're looking for a small camper with a bedroom, this is also an excellent option. The alternative being a Forest River RPod that isn't built as well. You can usually smell the quality of construction in a camper (poorly constructed campers have "the smell.") This unit had a light smell, but it went away as soon as I removed the coverlette on the bed. Strange. Also, I work in design, so aesthetics are important. This is much more modern, so it immediately appealed to me. And, Winnebago dealers are great. Towing - It's tall (10.5 ft) and has a little drag. You'll definitely need sway bars. I highly recommend a full-size for towing. My Tacoma works, but I have to drive it in manual mode and watch the transmission temp (I had to buy a gauge) - even though the camper is 3,800 dry and I'm rated 6,800. I'm going to upgrade as soon as dealer inventory returns to normal levels (terrible time to buy). I've heard that the F150 even struggles in the owner forum. The Not So Good - The Winnebago Owner Guide is useless. It wouldn't take much time/effort to create a guide and it would make a huge difference. Dealer support is great, so you'll just have to call them instead. Like any trailer, it's assembled on a line. It's pretty common for them to ship with kinked hoses. This often comes up in the user forum, so just make sure the dealer tests everything before you take it. Everything else is pretty solid. I haven't uncovered any issues outside of aesthetic changes I'd want to make to any camper. Outside of construction, the cargo access doors are too narrow (they're only about 10" high). Show less
