We purchased our 2022 Freedom Elite new from the dealer in Fort Myers. The purchase experience was awful, and the service department was twice as awful. The nightmares started when about a year into owning of this RV, we started dealing with leaks in the front portion over the Ford cockpit. Took the vehicle in and after a month sitting at the dealership, I picked up the vehicle and took it home. A few months later, we had a heavy down pour and when I went to inspect the vehicle after the rains stopped, the entire headliner, dash, driver's and passenger seat were flood. In fact, the radio was damaged from water intrusion. Took the vehicle back in and now it sat for 3 months. I personally showed them where the water intrusion was located and they confirmed the location of the problem. After picking up the vehicle, on the way back home, a two-hour drive, it was raining and to my surprise, I looked up and the headliner was getting wet. As soon as I arrived home, I striped the head liner off and notice the BS repair the dealer made. It was a worthless attempt done by apparently an amateur. I set to dehumidifiers in the cabin and that weekend; I put a new seal between the Ford cabin roof cut out and the underside of the bunk head where they join. I caulk the inside and outside of the roof cutout and added a second black rubber seal on the outside of the roof cutout. I have to say, it looks nicer that the garbage vinyl seals the factory uses. It's been a year and that was the last she ever leaked. The leaks are inherited due to poor quality, lack of workmanship and design issues, which could be easily corrected but apparently not a concern for the manufacturer as their warranty protects them from water leaks. There are 3 main leak points on the Freedom Elite. The first one is the 5 LED marker lights across the roof above the bunk head fiberglass cap. These LEDs each fit into a hole in the roof. The LED's have a rubber O-ring that is supposed to prevent water intrusion. Unfortunately, the O-rings rot from exposure to the sun and rain over time and the water enters into the front portion of the bunk bed extension behind the inner wall and works its way down the left and right bulk heads just behind the driver and passenger doors. Mold build up will be heavy and will require immediate attention. The second point of intrusion are the front left and right aluminum moldings that join the side walls to the fiberglass hood of the bunk head. Under the vinyl molding insert that covers the aluminum molding, there are self-tapping screws the Mfg. secures the molding down to the wood / aluminum super structure. We removed the vinyl molding insert and found more than half of the screws were heavily rusted and there were no caulking or seals before the screws were driven down. We even found holes with no screws. This is just lack of quality control and interest in providing the finished product. As for the 3rd issue, the rubber seal around the roof cutout of the cab as mentioned seems to be a popular problem that I have run into with other owners of the Thor product. Show less

What a piece of JUNK. It probably would be easier to say what does work on my little over a year old 2022 Thor Freedom Elite. The expression lipstick on a pig is what you get with a Thor Motor home. They look nice on the showroom floor, but you are looking at the lipstick. Own it for a year, use it a couple of times and the terrible quality of materials and the shoddy workmanship shine through. The propane gauge reads empty when the tank is 2/3 full. The black water tank reeds full when it is less than 1/4 full. The formica counter top and table are delaminating. The table is broke again - fixed twice before. The paneling is so cheap (more like cardboard than real wood), and so poorly stapled that it is literally falling off the walls. Screws that were screwed into the super cheap walls have all ripped out and there is no good repair because the panel boards are paper thin and the cheapest quality wood like material they won’t hold a screw even with epoxy or wood glue. The blinds for example are literally falling off the walls and you can’t get the screws to hold by any means. The plastic film (super cheap) is pealing off the walls in numerous places, because the glue they used can’t take the heat of Arizona. The microwave nearly fell out of its hole in the cabinet when its screws fell out. The shower floor support has given way and drops 2 inches ever time you step on it. They forgot to seal some places around the shower and there is water damage where they forgot to seal. The refrigerator door latch does close ever time. The bathroom door doesn’t close unless you move the wall back in place that holds the door - the wall literally moves back and forth. The opening roof vents are so cheap plastic and the plastic has already failed. Talking with another owner they said they carry two spares and a roll of duck tape. That you need the duck tape because the two spares are not enough if you get a light hail storm it will crack all the vents and you get water everywhere if you don’t tape them up. The other two plumbing vents (again such cheap thin plastic) have already broken off in the wind. We were lied to when we were told Thor was a quality built motor home. There is no quality in any aspect of this piece of junk. Just try using the shower head. The motor home sites tell you to replace that right away as they can’t even put in a shower head that works. New to the sport like many - we combed youtube to find an affordable motorhome for 2 adults and small dog- We got a great deal on 2019 with 7k miles for 50k - Pros Its been solid for a year - great driving- Everything works , easy to operate and we pull a trailer with scooter-good mileage 10mpg Bath is great - slideout great - awning great- Cons - Dining thing - no bueno- better to get rid and get chairs or couch - we made a daybed out of it With a few pillows - we can layback and watch tv and eat outside Ac is loud- no thermostat , just on uni Radio / setup/ electronic setup is awlful. Touchscreen troubles often - Hope this helps - its thrifty Show less

We have 78,000 miles on this coach and love the Floorplan, amount of storage, drive ability, towing. Perfect for 2 adults and 2 big dogs. As with most RVs the road wear is starting to show, things are loosening up but only 2 drawer keepers have broken. Fridge has popped out a bit and the igniter freezers often. The fridge has trouble staying lit on propane which is a common problem in RVs. We love thw small size that doesn't feel small. Full bathroom with a large shower and you don't have to pick the bed up to get to the bathroom! Show less

After extensively shopping cheaper brands, we are SO happy to have chosen Thor. They have backed up their product in both warranty and in customer service. The 22 FE is especially easy to drive, yet has room for my family to enjoy. The deal maker for us was the slide out bedroom with the queen sized bed. All the other motorhomes squished the queen bed into a corner so that you had to climb over your sleeping partner to enter/exit the bed. This RV has a "walk around" where you can feel the extra room. We now have just over 3300 miles on this coach, and so far the build quality has been horrendous. We do like the floorplan, and when we've been able to camp it almost has been fun fixing up the brand new coach, or should I say "fixing". Like the Microwave fell out because there was nothing underneath it, so we put some plywood for it to sit on and fixed it. One of the front hubcaps fell off, and Thor Service was good with a replacement. Some of the doors were not glued or nailed, and fell off the first trip. Both sinks leaked, so we pulled into a Home Depot with our brand new coach and worked on those problems. Turns out they glued the fittings just off the center line enough that when the coach drives down the road, the fittings work loose. That was not as bad as the "Sani Flush". The SF leaked water into the center aisle of the coach. A lot of it. Now that the plumbing is mostly fixed (the shower leaks, but it leaks down under the coach so we're ignoring that for now), we are going camping this weekend. Today while we were stocking the coach hooked up to shore power, we discovered the AC unit is no longer working. This coach was over a hundred thousand dollars after sales tax, and seriously the thing has been one problem after another. We don't even have 3,500 miles on it yet. The mirrors do work. There is no key fob to open or lock the doors. One thing I would recommend if you get one of these is a sense of humor. You're going to need it. Oh, and watch online videos on how to work the radio. It's the least intuitive radio I've ever seen. Show less

This is a great little C class motorhome. Simple and easy to drive. If you are looking for fancy this C class is not for you. This RV was made for function. Amazing storage and the tow capacity is more than most. Show less

Love this little RV- has everything you could want. It’s simple easy to use for a first time RV owner such as my self. The size is perfect easy to get in and out of places. Full kitchen with 3 different sleeping options and the storage is great!! Show less

We are moving and need the money right now, that's the only reason we're selling, we will miss it. We are non smokers so the inside is clear and clean. The Ford E-350 V10 is an awesome Engine and it has never failed us. It's just my Wife and I so the floor plan works extremely well for us. There's only 6010 miles on the RV so it is practically new. There are valve extenders on the double wheels in the rear and an upgraded radio and speakers. There are also speakers in the bedroom for those quiet afternoon naps. I know you'll be happy riding and living in our RV, it served us well. See you on the road.!! Show less
