2018 Thor Chateau 24hl. Extremely easy to drive, back up camera is great. Perfect for a couple or family with a few small children. It's super easy to pull up stakes and cruise if needed. The Mercedes chassis and diesel engine is a workhorse and super reliable. Gas mileage is good at about 13-14 MPG. Nice floor plan and bunkhouse area is convienient. Plenty of storage throughout. Overall a good coach. Obviously small things break because all RVs are made cheaply. But really no surprises. Recommend for class C. Show less

We really enjoyed this size of an RV for our young family. Most of the renters we had were couples or sets of 4-5 people renting for a trip. All of the renters enjoyed the ease of driving, set up and layout. Our favorite feature of driving with a family in the RV is being able to set up beds for late night driving and letting kids sleep on the road. The transition from driving to parking is less than 10 minutes at a good site so we never had trouble with kids waking up, like you would transitioning from car to hotel. We also loved being able to homeschool, practice music on small instruments and cook and eat will driving far distances! It’s a great family vehicle, not matter if your family is just 2 people or 6! This RV has been wonderful. The build is strong, and it is extra roomy. I traveled to Alaska in it without any issues, and boondocked for two months. I have traveled back and forth to Arizona and through Death Valley. There is not anything I would change. I am looking to down size since I am by myself and this is better equipped to serve a couple, or family. Show less

Rv is very reliable, rode across us twice without any issues or breakdowns, the unit has a very cold a/c, very comfortable ride up to 5 people, widely range of capabilities. powerful v6, did not hesitated on the mountain sites and canyons. Fuel efficient Siesta Sprinter that works well in the city and the open road easy to maneuver since it drives like a van and is easy to park. When it's time to relax, the sofa and dinette offer ample seating and plenty of space, plus you can lay on the cab-over bunk if you like; or you could open the awning and it has a stereo or a TV to open a table and enjoy the outdoors. We bought our motorhome used in a private sale. Meticulously maintained and kept both inside and out, we couldn’t be happier with our purchase. The layout is efficient yet comfortable and the appliances all work well as they hadn’t been used much. Upholstery on the benches and sofa as well as driver and passenger seats is in mint condition, and all cushions are firm and comfortable. The bed is comfortable and though it’s a bit of a challenge to make it up because it’s in the slide-out, I can use the standard queen bedding we use in our home. The bathroom is easy to use and clean and the shower is adequate with space to get clean. Love the retractable shower door, too, as well as the skylight over the shower space. The windows in the rig are numerous and large, letting in plenty of light and making for easy scenery viewing. Vents are also numerous with two of the four being covered by ventilated hoods to avoid rain getting in. The cabinetry is lovely and there’s lots of room for storage. Kitchenette is very efficient yet has a good amount of counter space with a two-piece cover for the large farm sink making it easy to get prep work done. On-demand hot water is wonderful though my husband replaced the water pump with one that has more oomph; the unit’s own pump couldn’t deliver consistently hot water without running cold every so often-not a pleasant surprise when in the shower! Convection microwave means I can serve freshly baked foods and the air conditioner is a big help for warm afternoons. Heater works great and keeps the nighttime chill at bay. Overall, a quality rig (original SRP 100K brand-new), bought at a nice price and one we plan to keep for the foreseeable future. Show less

I have owned several different makes of RV’s from a Coachmen tent trailer, Aljo 26 travel trailer, 35 Alfa Gold 5th wheel and a 30 Holiday Rambler Alumiscape. All of them had varying degrees of accessories and amenities and all were great Rv’s. I then got into the Class B segment by buying a Roadtrek and while it was great for getting into tight places, it just lacked the comfort of a real RV. By that I am mainly referring to the lack of a large king size bed and a bathroom I could turn around in without knocking things down. I then started looking at the Mercedes-Benz line of Class C’s that Thor was putting out. I had looked over several of the competing models but only to find lesser quality of builds or a price so high, it should have had a picket fence attached. The Synergy was a great blend of it all and yet still had that easy to maneuver sizing and ample interior room. The struggle with any RV is storage space, the Synergy had great space thanks to a large pass through in the very back that could accommodate large items without have in to keep them inside the living space. Great features like Bluetooth connectivity to operate the awning, room slide out and start the generator were all amazing things to have and came in quite handy more than I thought. The Mercedes-Benz drivetrain has been a treat and very solid. Gas mileage has also been great averaging around 14 MPG! These are not your grandparents old motorhomes, they are new and fresh and give you that freedom to go out and explore and not have to worry about parking a bus while getting fuel or groceries! Class tion lawsuit against Thor and its defective window adhesive. Seeking interested parties. If you've lost a frameless windows while driving your Thor motor coach down the highway, this may interest you. Thor acknowledges the problem but refuses to take action unless the NTSB is involved. The NTSB is conducting an investigation. Show less

Purchased the Venetian because we fell in love with the floor plan of the G36. The RV has been very nice for my wife and I to travel in. However, I will NEVER buy another Thor product. The windows used are terrible and VERY expensive. My advice: Stay away from frameless windows! They look nice and are fine when they don't fall apart. Our bathroom egress window literally blew out as the adhesive used on the windows failed. Driving no faster than 65mph, a large tractor trailer passed us on the left and the suction/air turbulence pulled the glass completely off. Thor acknowledges there's an issue, but refuses to help pay for any repairs. Thor claims it's Lipperts responsibility, Lippert claims it's the responsibility of a company called HEHR, which Lippert owns. That one window was quoted to me by Thor as costing $2,184.72. That's just the window, doesn't include install. NTSB is aware of the windows failing on Thor motor Coaches and is in the process of determining a course of action. Show less

Cabinet drawers that will not stay closed, other drawers that will not close, window blinds that will not operate correctly, roll up shower curtain is a joke, I can see daylight through the steps leading out of the door, backsplash is nothing more than a sticky back vinyl that is all wrinkled, they took a 2017 Mercedes sprinter and built the motor home in the year 2018 and call it a 2018 motor home. DO NOT go out the motor home door unless you have your keys in your pocket because the door will lock itself and you will be locked out!!! Lift up counter that does not lock in the down position and swings and bangs when going down the road. So sad to see something made in the USA with such poor quality. Roof vents are extremely cheap and are falling apart. Motorhome door is sticking and very hard to open up and it doesn’t matter if it is level or not level it happens all the time, air conditioner is undersized. I cannot turn the TV antenna from inside the coach because they used the cheapest piece of shit antenna that they could find and the plastic parts are broken. Outside doors do not have locks on them that will keep the door open when you are stowing or retrieving gear. I read somewhere that Thor motor coaches had exceptional build quality. That turned out to be false. I will never buy another Thor but I’m sure they do not care because they sell enough of them to keep themselves in business. I am only giving one star on the factory warranty/Support because I have no experience with it but there’s no sense in giving it a five star rating because nothing else about this thing is worth five stars.
