2006 Thor Motor Coach reviews

Physically, this motorhome is a handsome looking unit, sides, front and back. Stylish modern graphics. It has good road manners, powerful and quiet. Quality inside, fit and finish is fine, not industrial strength to handle hard rough use. Electrical systems and plumbing continue to work as they should. The overall body is tight on rough roads, no rattles, creaks, squeaks. Well pleased with this unit. The negative issue I have had was the wimpy uncomfortable stock mattress, (changed that right quick) and the Ford Triton V10 engine exhaust manifold gasket leak. A snotty job to replace them, but not enough to give up ownership to another brand. Show less

I reviewed and looked at 5th wheels for 5 yrs and found that Thor made and used the best products available. I had to give it a five rating on warranty as I can't downgrade something I never needed to use. I am finally having to replace the water heater as the inlet is rusted. Still works but rusted and is starting to leak even with a ton of teflon tape on the threads. This trailer is amazing and has a wonderful floor plan other than there is not enough closet space in the bedroom. I keep it as clean as possible but it is still just like new..none of the appliances have failed, carpet is still good, air conditioner is awesome and is 15K not the usual 13.5K. Table is still good and does not wobble around. I did have the locks changed on the outside doors. Looks like new but in all fairness, it is stored inside when not in use. Show less

BEWARE! When I contacted the owner Debbie we were on the phone for at least an hour going over all the pertinent info about this coach, she had mentioned there was a water leak at the inside cockpit area ( "a drip with a hard rain ) she had stated to me she had two people come look at it one that flew across country. The first one was bying it but his loan fell through the second from California that saw the drip and left. she dropped the price to 40,000.00 ( that should have rang the bell!). My wife and I drove from Atlanta to her location 600 miles one way when we arrived first thing the right side of the coach needs repainted, the entry steps noticed a foul smell and mold once in the front noticed severe water damage molding falling off at the slide out .Very foul smell of mold! she stated her 77 yr old husband has performed all the maintenance stopped there and wasn't even going to go for the engine or gen set, we quickly exited the coach for health reasons and she knew how far we drove and with our three dogs and failed to mention all this and her pics on this ad are very misleading she carefully left out the bad stuff. What a dream. Sleeping in it is almost surreal. The layout and floorplan make you feel like you are living in a private plane or yacht. Everything is in it's place and the traffic flows and workflows are organic. Specialized storage above and below ( it was an executive shuttle bus from casino to airport) and sturdy construction ( removed 15 seats and bulkheads and built onto solid steel framing) AND ruggedized floor allowed me to travel from "port to port" towing my 23 foot center console. I could drive to the launch, sleep until 4, cook and eat, launch boat, and be first to the hot spot. I slept and lived in roadside parks, RV parks, WalMart parking lots, and dark country road sides when I was not living at the bait camp or boat launch. The design point of 3 days without hookup worked. I will miss this adventure Bus, but my life has changed and it is time to sell her, long may you roll Kplane! Show less

Drives like a dream on the road when u pass big rigs no swaying at all because it has 8 air bags for support. Double tandem wheels in back turn with you. Super easy setup. Owned one for 15 years and never a problem. Great coach for the money. Show less

If you want the best quality with the least maintenance this is your coach. These are comparable to the legendary chinook they are actually built better with Kevlar reinforcements yet cheaper. I loved my chinook concourse but we out grew it I love my larger coach house. Show less

It drives really easy as independent pull your tow vehicle without a problem has a rear colored camera going down the road your mate can go all the way to the rear of the motor home has plenty of room Show less

My wife and I have enjoyed this RV for 3 yrs. The floor plan is quit different than most by having a bar with 2 stools and the slide has the refrigerator in it which gives more counter space. These were well built units, buy a company that went broke in 2008. They were trying to build better than anybody else and did. Hope you enjoy RVing. Show less

Loved everything about it, handles well on highway and mountain roads, pulls well, don't even notice anything behind. Fuel costs very reasonable. Rear camera allows you to see whats behind you all the time. Easy and quick set up and take down in campgrounds . Manufacturer is easily accessible for questions . Inside is sound proof, excellent sleeps and in comfort . Shower is large and cherry wood kitchen has more than enough storage. Air and heat works fast to accommodate temperatures. Central vac makes it easy to clean interior and washer dryer used . Its like being at home with changing views from your window. Highly recommend the country coach for its reliability and beauty !
