Within weeks of buying this brand new RV we began to regret our purchase. From the moment we brought it home things started to go wrong. Leaking water pipes, cracked side window, auto-leveling jacks leaking hydraulic fluid ... within the first 3 days we found seven significant defects/problems, and this is before we ever took it out to go RVing. It only got worse at the campsite. Auto-leveling system locked in the down position. We were stranded at the campsite for over a day until someone helped us figure out how to manually release the hydraulic fluid in the jacks. I could go on . . . multiple major issues kept us from every really enjoying the RV, and it spent more time in service than it did in our possession. I just ended up selling it to a dealer at a $40,000 loss. - Never buy a Thor!

Going from a 41’ 5th wheel to a 30’ Airstream and now to a motorhome with an overall length of just over 25’ makes it seems like I am simply driving a large car. I can get into any gas station or parking lot, back into any space with ease, and an average almost 15 MPG. The Murphy Bed makes the small space seem much larger. Thor could improve on their quality control. This one didn’t have any major issues, but the minor things should have been caught before it left the factory. It can tow up to 5,000 lbs so if we decided to start bringing a vehicle with us, there won’t be any problems.

This is my 2nd Sprinter, the first being a Class A which I found too small for 2 people. Some plusses: As a guy, I am most impressed with the ample storage both internal and external. Very comfortable and roomy with the slide both in (while driving) and out. Refrigerator is both electric (AC) and propane (auto) which is better than the newer models (DC/battery only). The ride is quiet and smooth with great acceleration even on grades. The exterior is full-body paint (vice decals which peel/fade over time) and looks as good as new after 9 years. I particularly like the huge skylight/vent over the salon. The only drawback to the floorplan is the very comfortable double bed in the rear corner. Now in my mid-70s, it is a bit of a challenge to make and to exit.....9 years ago, NO Problem.

I have had a horrible experience with Thor and the dealer I bought my 2023 Thor delano from (general rv). I have had multiple Rv’s and never had the issues I’m experiencing. The ac doesn’t work at all and each person I’ve talked to tries to give me some bs about the sun being on the ac unit making it hot (obviously the sun is going to be on the unit). The master cut off switch will not turn off, The awning cap randomly fell off, the propane gauge doesn’t work properly, the front bumper looks like it was painted with a spray can it has orange peel and spotting so bad, and to top it off I’m stranded and can’t even get Thor or general rv to cover a rental for me. They tell me I have to use my extended warranty I purchased, and what for!? It’s a 2023!!! You guys should be covering this unit that’s not even useable right now because of the near 100 degree heat. The service is horrendous that I’m receiving and I’m shocked either one of these companies is still in business with the bs I'm being fed.

We bought our Delano 24 TT IN September 2021. New from the factory we received Sept. 25. Took back to the dealership Oct. 6 with a list of about 21 repairs for warranty service. Between ordering parts and installation we weren’t able to make a trip in it till March of 2022. In preparation for that trip we added water to the tank and immediately flooded the bathroom and bedroom area. Toilet failed, another trip to the dealer. After that repair filled with water and tried the instant hot water … none. Took two trips to the dealership. Repairs made for a pinched hose in the slide which probably occurred when the flooring was replaced. We’ve been able to take several trips since and found we have some kind of a water leak in the two main compartments, another trip to the dealership coming up for that. Getting full use of the warranty. Other than these things we love it.

Other than some minor cosmetic repairs I made myself , this Motorhome has performed almost flawlessly ! We had almost purchased a Very large Class A and are now glad we did not . We have all we need in this compact yet roomy RV and it gets better mileage than my 2018 jeep ! (Which we easily tow behind ) I have just recently had a B service at a Mercedes dealer ! All looked good when inspected ! We could not be happier with our Siesta ! Maneuverability is a big plus in rving ! You'll be glad you purchased a RV on this true and tested Mercedes chassis ! The 3 liter turbo will amaze you with it's power and fuel economy ! Save yourself from a huge luxury coach $ loss ! This RV will retain it's value for years to come ! (Just look up it's resale values ) Happy RVin !

Love the mileage and the comfortable ride! Interior is attractive and conveniently arranged. Great storage inside and out--even can stow my mobility scooter (in four parts) in the outside bays and still have room for folding chairs, a table, a rug, and tools! The only downside for us is that the step to the bedroom and the step to get into bed have become difficult to negotiate as my handicap has gotten worse. Have had it for four years and have had no problems other than the steps, which wouldn't bother someone who doesn't have mobilty issues--no need for repairs or contact with factory support.

We purchased our Thor Citation in 2019. We're the third owners and the coach only had 10K miles on it when we bought it from the second owner. It now has 40K on it, after two years. To begin with,we rented an RV in Alaska before buying our first RV, this Citation. We knew what we wanted and what we didn't want and we knew how and when we planned to use it. These questions are key to getting the best RV for your needs. Our intention was to have an RV that had relatively good fuel economy; CHECK. We wanted an RV that was small and easy to maneuver: CHECK. We wanted an RV small enough and NARROW ENOUGH to easily park on city streets and in parking lots; CHECK. We wanted a Class-C so we would have the car like convenience of a door on each side where we sit; CHECK. We wanted to be able to drive in the mountains and look up and see what was on the surrounding hills and not be driving "in a carport";CHECK. We wanted an RV that would be able to pull into a rest stop off of the freeway and allow us to use our bathroom and get in bed without having much setup or a NEED to use a slide-out; CHECK! And we didn't know it at the time but we also needed and are delighted to have amazing amounts of storage that can be accessed from OUTSIDE of the coach. I can get two E-Bikes in the space under our bed, through the exterior door, just by taking their front tires off. And we haven't even BEGUN to talk about the other huge storage compartments. I learned later that Thor is the "King of Storage" and we just lucked out in finding this unit. Now for the BAD; The Mercedes Sprinter interior is horrible. I mean, it's only had five years of use and the simple, no frills, mechanical everything and no electric controls seats are coming apart. The Trip Odometer, and there is only ONE of those, shares space with the reading for the temperature or cruise control setting. To see the trip, disengage the cruise??? The electric door lock control, and there is ONLY ONE of those, is not on each door but in the center of the dash???? The turn signal arm is an inch below a similar ARM for setting the cruise control???? "German Engineering" excellence; What a joke. It's 3.0 Turbo Diesel engine has "adequate" power and is able to maintain highway speeds in the mountains without too much problem BUT it really needs another gear between second and third. AGAIN; "German Engineering" is a joke. As for the build quality, I'm a hands-on guy, and you better be one also. Not just for Thor but for ALL RV's. Read the forums. One guy had a tag line that said it best; "Nothing works on an RV but the owner".... LOL OK; It's not THAT bad but so far I discovered: 1. The black water tank valve became jammed with a plastic disk that was undoubtedly dropped in the tank and left there during tank plumbing assembly. Easy fix with a bent coat hangar and a tug on the plastic to remove it. 2. The DVD player didn't work because they left the "Remove this screw before installation" screw installed! Easy fix. 3. The shower seeped water from the cold water valve because they LEFT THE O'RING OFF during assembly. Just for grins, I took a picture down inside the wall and there it was; right where the Thor assembly buffoon dropped it and left it. 4. The cabinets ARE cheaply made and DO need beefing up; Especially the bottom panels. But I have a friend who bought a brand new RV of a different brand and he's rebuilding all of his cabinets for the same reasons. All in all, it was the design that mattered most to us and we are more than satisfied with our 2017 Thor Citation-24SA.

We have never been more disappointed. Absolute horrible craftsmanship - we have had issue after issue - one replacing the back window - when the company replaced it they discovered that the fiberglass and work surrounding window was never completed. All of the leatherette furniture is peeling and flaking to the point a fine dust. The top window wasn't installed or sealed right so we had to fix that. The generator failed within a month of having the rv. The sensors have has to all be replaced - of course we had to wait for them to go before they would do it even though they knew they would go bad. Fun times- We are stuck in this lemon - look elsewhere - maybe to a company that cares about quality. We keep it in an temperature controlled environment and have been on it maintenance wise so this really seems like we got the lemon off the assembly line or the are all like this.
