Thor Motor Coach 29M Class A - Gas reviews

I've been full time in this RV for 18 months and I tow a Chevy Colorado with a motorcycle in the back. The Ford powertrain is great with plenty of power and no issues. Currently 25k on the motor. The motorhome part has had zero issues that were the result of poor workmanship. Some just have more problems. I got lucky. The floorplan really works as an office as well since I wfh. Show less

I love my motorhome. She can tow like no other. I went from a home to a hurticane that I pull a 24ft trailer packed including my car. Motorhome handles extremely well. After living in it a few months I kind of world have liked slide outs and a bigger bathroom but I'm not sure how i works do driving buffet when I'm already pulling a lot of weight. Show less

This RV has been exceptional in every way. The floor plan is really wonderful and well laid out with one super slide, 24 feet long. The sleeping accommodations are great; the powered overhead bunk is very convenient and fun for children, but also accommodates adults. The ONLY issue we had was the entry step seized and had to be replaced. Show less

For the money one pays for these units you would think the quality would be excellent. We bought this less than two years ago and have had it in for repairs five times. Drop down bunk Pins do not align, generator would not start, shades fell off, TV fell off the wall, propane gauges would not work, cabinet door warped and needed replaced, Grey and black tanks even though empty read 33% full at all times. I would never but a Thor product again and if I could get rid of this one and not lose my $$ on it i would. Show less

Like everyone else I bought a Thor Windsport and it has spent more time in the shop I got it in January 2022 and black tank had to be replaced the lever jacks went out sink faucet had to be replaced generator didn’t work and now having problems with the electrical system on the chassis it has had to be towed three times and as I write this it is sitting and waiting to be towed to the ford dealer again as the gateway control module went out again. What can I do as Thor told me it was not there problem. So far it has cost me over $7000.00 dollars also I bought a good Sam’s extended warranty and that was a thousand dollars donated as they wouldn’t honor any part of it .What can you do I wrote a letter to the Texas attorney general’s office and they said they couldn’t help . Only had Rv for 2 years dont buy one they are poorly made and they don't last would never buy a Thor motorhome ever again stay away if you know what is good for you. Our RV has been in the shop 5 times now since we bought it. The bolts on rear axle broken after 1900 miles never hitting a bump. This Rv Thor Motorhome thrown together poorly. Cheaply made. This is our 3rd purchase from Camping World, the first 2 were travel trailers and we have been pleased with them so we returned to Camping World to trade on a Class A to live in full time and travel. The first trip the door flew open on the interstate and would not secure; the handle broke off in my hand. When I called Thor Customer Service, even though, I explained the door would not remain shut and the handle broke off in my hand on a brand new unit, I was told I had to go to a dealership. Thus on a busy interstate, I tied a rope to secure as best I could and after finally arriving at the dealership, they could not repair the door either. Then the kitchen cabinet/countertop came loose from the side of the coach. Many other issues with the unit and after 3 purchases all Camping World will do is offer roughly 75 % of what I paid for it Brand New less than 2 months ago. The Thor representative openly admitted on the recorded message that they were aware of quality issues with their product and thus they offered a warranty but will do nothing other than have consumer return to the dealership for warranty work, worst experience ever. Hey, Thor, how about take safety and quality serious and have no tolerance for sub standard products and then you would have happy customers and they would buy repeatedly from you, example, RV buyers buy and upgrade several times, just like my wife and I, but never again from Thor or Camping World. Sad that Thor puts out such a poor product and cares nothing for the lives of their customers and Camping World is complicit with them. Show less

We purchased this Rv from Woodstock Ga. March 13,2023 on a year long pre paid trip to Alaska, the day I got behind the wheel to leave the light’s won’t turn off , the levers malfunction, missing water tank cover,used water tank rod, missing vent adjusters, wallpaper falling off, they sent me off, car stopped fast in front ,brakes are not right almost hit car, steering wheel vibrates bad. Called 30 ford dealers to get it in for a look with 30 no. First night Boone docking batteries went dead, found solar controller was taken out of unit, wires from panel and batteries were bare under bed,camping world Nashville said iam lucky it didn’t burn. Hole under bed big enough for a ground hog. Screws not even screwed in ,wiring is the worst I have ever seen, parts to water heater laying on top. Went to use flush valve and one way valve was in backwards, got in shower to get cleaned up floor is supper soft by drain.we were sent off the lot with version 4.2 instead of 4.8,had to hire a traveling tech to pull this off.found a dealer in Oklahoma that said the master cylinder was leaking internal.took to another repair shop they wanted to have it set in there lot for 4weeks before looking.mean while still trying to stay on trip,got locked inside in Idaho due to door handle broke . Then gas cap broke in half. Then the slide fell and we were starting to have problems with 50 amp power. I told wife trip is off we took unit to Thor,they helped a little and said to bring it back .in the mean time it went to Basil’s ford in buffalo twice they said nothing wrong. We then made appoint with Thor ,they sent driver and said 4 days, they had unit 5weeks, so we now lost all summer.Thor called said come get unit we drove 9hr. They did upgrade the floor and fixed cabinets, but some where there some one smashed into the unit taking off passenger mirror and window along with body and paint and stickers, Thor said no pics,they then said something happened to the batteries,so changed out my 750s to 600. Test drove there is a issue with passenger window air comes in bad at times??.they said the roof was leaking ,this unit is brand new. We made it home ran slide out and. Half dozen screws came out from under slide. The only thing I can say is Thor is the only one that acknowledged the call from the attorney general, ford washed there hands and Woodstock sent and check that was a slap in the face for all we messed and all the head ache. This has been the worst experience I have ever had to deal with. Trying to get out from under it and now the dealers will only offer half and we haven’t even used it. Someone must be held accountable. Think twice people do your home work. Show less

How can you build a $135,000.00 RV and have all these issues within first 18 months Delivered with missing lug nuts and center cap Kitchen cabinets obviously separating on slide out side Kitchen sink drain leaks on slide out Heater stopped working and all heat is forced to bed room only Electric water heater stopped working Front AC thermostat non op Driver side headlight assembly coming loose Passenger slide window extreme wind noise Turd grinder leaks and switch in restroom non op Co2 detector randomly goes off while driving I am surely forgetting something What a pos Is this normal. This RV drives great, I bought and installed a steering stabilizer to help with lane drift and big truck passing. The great thing we like about the rv is the large wall slide out, because it gives more room to move about while inside. No smoking or pets have been done in it. No accidents or any major repairs, but the wire to to slide out had to be replaced and now it works fine. The only reason we are selling it is because we are not using it as much as we thought we would. It needs to move and not sit still. I do start and move it once a month , also I start and run the generator for about five minutes each month. The batteries are new and kept up with my own solar panel. Everything works as it should with no problems. Show less
