Thor Motor Coach 24.1 RUV reviews

We bought this vehicle in January 2021. We did not receive it until May 2021. We have NOT been able to use the RV because it has been in repairs every month since then. Just recently we discovered that the generator DID not have an exhaust!! ( We did loan it once to a friend after the refrigerator was fixed. Thank God that they did not use the generator!) We ordered an electric chair for the driver. It still has not come in! We had leaks, the monitor did not work, the refrigerator did not work, the generator did not work, panels were broken when we got the thing. This week a wall panel fell off! The exhaust was added to the generator and we hope to take a trip,but the thing needs an oil change and NO Ford dealer in our state will do the work! So, we are selling the thing as soon as possible. Thor has been useless. Great American and their staff in Grand Bay, Alabama have done everything they could to help us. Does anyone out there have a better experience with the Vegas? Show less

I bought a Thor Vegas 24.1 and like it if I never had to drive it anywhere. Every time I have taken it out I ended up stuck in Park and finally paid $500 to find out if I changed a $3.00 fuse in the engine then I could get it out of Park and into drive. Every Time I put it in park. Then I find that when that fuse blows then I have NO brake lights, NO turn signals, or Rear lights. But the lights go out while I am driving. Very Dangerous. I changed out the Rear light fixtures (another $300) then the problem continues and someone said to check if the wiring was placed too close to the manifold. It is again in the shop to see if it can be fixed and I can safely drive it. Camping World would not fix it and said it was a Ford problem and to take it to ford for repair. It is at AutoNation Ford now. So far 1 week there while I put a planned trip on hold. I love the interior but the hot water heater is a problem. Show less

Great model, huge panoramic windshield, great swivel captain chairs up front, perfect drop down bed and couch that together sleeps 3 additional people. Outdoor entertainment system, 3 burner stove, convection oven, microwave, great sleep area for master room ! This unit is awesome. Show less

The Thor Vegas 25.2 was our choice for an office on the road. The size was perfect for parking in metro areas, running errands and then slipping back into our KOA campsite. Easy to drive, it handled like a pick up truck with excellent V-10 power. The rear slide made it possible to park and extend in narrow campsites. Plenty of room for two, we would never need anything larger. Thor was terrific to work with on a few warranty fixes and the quality of the Vegas was spot on for the price. Show less

Great size for two Everything you need in a compact rv The only drawback especially if you live in the SW is the AC unit. It will not handle the heat. At 95 it says uncle. Even a box fan doesn't really help. So Thor manufacturer if you read this, you need to add more BTUs to the AC or add better insulation too the ducts. It does drive nice Livability for two if good Show less

quality poor. roof leaked ,generator brooke two week in shop. trailer hitch not wired just plug. panelling fell above bed. three different place in roof. water heater started to burn. bathroom fan had to replace. drives nice and easy to park reason we bought this r v we are old and easy to park than our other 3 rv. think twice before buying one. I have had big motor homes for years and I am a mechanic but I have never had a motor home that has been put together so badly I think it is dicusting a goog little motor home ruened by the so called tradmen ??????? Ho don't seem to give a **** I can't even start to list what I have had to put write with this motor home all down to bad workmanship. I no you get what you pay for but that's no excuse for really!!!!!!!!!! Bad workmanship. Show less

Purchased 8/28/16 A/C in front not working got home and battery went dead took 2 weeks to get it an appointment at ford dealer . Sept 21 ford dealer said it was a Thor problem took to dealer and it has been there since Sept 21 dealer supposedly working with Thor to find the problem. We have not used it as of this writing . This was our first motorhome and has been a huge disappointment. Show less

This is our first RUV. Chosen because we didn't want to go too big, but didn't want to condense things all the way down to a Class B. Easy to drive. For the money, good quality (we have optional 15k BTU A/C and heated tanks). Cons: Unless the slide is open, you can't lie on the queen bed, so at Walmart or a casino you either have to sleep on the overhead bunk or convert the booth to a bed, or cheat a bit to open the slide enough so that the mattress will be flat. Bathroom size is nice for a 26' coach; separate shower stall. Galley counterspace is good and lots of cupboards & storage. We are having fun and enjoying our RUV. We purchased extended warranties for the coach maintenance and tires, so we are good to go. Show less
