First only towed camper home after inspecting roof wrong sealant used and gaps. Plywood under roofing dislodged covering loose and rippled.Roof replaced bubbles all over and loose covering.Cut on flooring after installation. Storage above sink so narrow can hardly store anything.2x2s in storage underneath full of huge knots weakening integrity if copied in walls not good.I researched for 6 months before buying fair reviews mostly water leaks which I had one on outside shower connection. On a plus I really like layout. DON'T like the on demand water heater wastes to much water and if slide out is in can't walk through warranting two doors limiting use on road but tolerable. Just wanted to drop a few lines about my 2020 Grand Design Transcend 29TBS. This trailer is the real deal when it comes to hitting the road. First off, the sleeping situation is awesome. There's a queen bed that's super comfy for the grown-ups, and the kids have their own bunk space. It's like they've got their own little den, which means they're out of our hair at bedtime. Win-win! The kitchen is a dream. Cooking in this thing is a piece of cake. Whether you're whipping up breakfast inside or grilling burgers outside, you've got everything you need. Plus, cleaning up is no sweat, so more time to chill. You know how you pack for a trip and wonder where to put all your stuff? Well, this trailer has storage for days. I mean, you can bring along all your gear and still have room to walk around. It's pretty sweet. I've had a couple of trailers before, but this one feels like it's built to last. Everything's put together really well, and it just feels sturdy, you know? Had a small issue with the outdoor spray port once, and the folks at Grand Design were on it like white on rice. Seriously, their customer service is top-notch. It's really big at 36 feet, but it tows easy even with a half ton truck or some large suvs. So, yeah, if you're looking for a travel trailer that's like a home away from home, this is it. I really like the floor plan layout of the unit. The wife loves the cabinets and the pantry. She also likes the wardrobe closet in the bedroom that is the entire width of the trailer. It has a clothes bar and shelves for even more storage. I’m over 6 feet tall and I don’t feel cramped in here, even in the shower. I like that the head of the bed is located in the slide out and runs across the width of the trailer instead of the length, like most trailer’s beds. It even has room at the foot of the bed for a dresser and room to get dressed in front of it, instead of being cramped. The kitchen sink is located against the back of the trailer which gives ample space for kitchen duties and lots of cabinet space for dishes. I also like storage area lights that can be switched to motion detection, which is pretty handy when your hands are full. The light above the entry door can also be switched to motion, which is nice at night, so you never have to enter a dark trailer. One of the things I don’t like is that the kitchen floor squeaks a lot, even when completely level. The bathroom sink could also stand to be a little bit larger and deeper. This has to be one of family camping's best layouts - a separate room for the kids on the opposite end of the camper! Two bedrooms, sleeps 9 comfortably. A residential Queen bed in the primary bedroom, and three bunks with storage for the kids. Indoor and outdoor cooking stations. Lots of interior storage and cabinet space. Plenty of counter space for prep, and a great banquette for family meals and perfect for movie nights with the included 32" TV. Easy streaming devide hookups, and comes with a DVD player and radio with two zone speaker system. Two refridgerators (inside/outside) for convenience. Tons of light from two big skylights. Windows that open and 4 vent fans for great circulation. Roomy bathroom setup with plenty of storage and a shower tall enough for your your biggest campers. Great storage space under the primary bedroom that goes all the way through for your camping gear. AC/Heater works very quickly and has been tested in many seasons. Plus all the great small features of a Grand Design camper - strong stairs, magnetic latches on storage doors, EZ-up Queen bed for access to storage, vents in sidewalls (not the floor) to avoid becoming dust-traps. Tows great with tanks empty or full. Power jack for quick setup. Ladder for easy access to the roof. Spare tire included. Show less

Bought this in 2022 to replace a 2008 Keystone Passport 255BH. From day one there were many problems! 1st trip I couldn't get the door open, the rear storage door would close, panels popped loose from the walls, water heater didn't work, trailer brakes didn't work. From here the problems kept getting worse. I contacted Grand Design but they did NOTHING. My dealer fixed what they could but the problem lies in the walls, meaning the walls shift while being towed and causes tons of issue. The dealer contacted Grand Design and they said the door keeps sticking closed because it was hot and in the sun causing the door to swell. It's now 2023 and my list of problems has grown to 3 pages worth and guess what?! Grand Design won't stick behind their product.. Show less

We bought this one week ago today for my husband to travel in for his job. The kids (6 years old and 7 months old) and I have spent the last week with him before returning home. It is a nice camper but for the price, we expected more comfortable sleeping. The mattresses are garbage. My son weighs maybe 45 lbs and his mattress on his bunk has flattened almost in half in just 6 days of sleeping on it. Our mattress is very uncomfortable. Overall a nice camper with a great layout and fit all of our wants and needs. For the price of the camper, the beds should be more comfortable. Show less

Pros - tall enough for my 6"2" husband. True queen bed great fit for us. Second entry door in bedroom is nice. Armoire is huge and has mirrors as well as 2 closets (one on either side of bed). Shower fits him comfortably. Pass thru bathroom (2 doors - one at bath/bedroom and one at bath/liviingroom) allows me to get up early and go into the living space without waking him up. Seating is great for entertaining friends - we can sit across from each other. Kitchen layout makes sense and is perfect. Living area has comfy recliners and faces the dinette and TV. Cons - After buying new mattress, not alot of room between end of bed and door. Bathroom sink needs upgrade- can barely wash hands in the low faucet set up. Needs stronger pistons for underbid storage once you upgrade mattress. Thats it! Not many cons. Show less

We like the floor plan but that’s about all we like. We choose Grand design thinking we were getting a top notch product.The trailer has been used 4 times by 2 adults and so far we have had 4 water leaks and now we have to install a new leaking toilet. The shower floor felt weak so the repair man looked under the shower floor and 3/4ths the floor is reinforced and 1/4 th of the floor isn’t reinforced. So I guess the next problem will be replacing the shower floor. No I would not buy a Grand Design no matter how beautiful they look on the outside. Our 20 year old Sunline trailer was made well and we never had any problems. The only thing good about this RV is the inside lay out. Hope this review is helpful & taken seriously. Show less

While we love the floor plan of this 2021 RV model, we've had an issue with the sunlight in the kitchen and bath leaking. We took it to a certified technician who informed us that the sunlights in the kitchen area and bath area were never installed correctly via the factory so no matter how much caulking was used on the outside, they would leak. We paid $650 to have them fixed. We called the manufacturer and they wanted "pictures". The technician is certified and we never thought to take pictures so we were not refunded any money. When you buy a new car and something goes wrong, you take it back to the dealer to have it fixed and it's covered, especially if something was not built or inserted correctly, to begin with. You don't have to send pictures to prove any issues especially when you use a dealership or certified technician. It's ridiculous that this manufacturer doesn't stand behind their "warranty". We will not buy from Grand Design again. Show less

We took our 2022 256BH out for a test run last week and loved the layout., although not crazy with the walkthrough bathroom. There are a few flaws in the design of the trailer that could be improved upon. Safety wise, there are no side flashers when turning for people in your blind spot. Storage under the dinette and couch are not high enough to store a case of bottled water. The kitchen window opens up behind the door when opened, therefore useless during the day. It would be worth the extra cost to have a window that opens beside the couch. The curtains are see through at night with interior lights turned on. It would be nice to be able to manage the lights in the main room, they are either all on or off. The light over the bed is so bright that it's blinding when lying down. And finally the connections under the trailer for propane, black and grey water are so far back that you have to get on your knees to find them. besides the listed shortfalls we really enjoyed our experience with it so far.
