Not to mention all the plentiful self repairs I have to make every trip since day one. Folks due your selves a favor and stay away. The news on the street is it’s called Grand Decline for a reason. Scary. Gonna be out another 2-3,000 next month when my Tech moves a 2024 GRAND Decline out for its roof to so my slide roof. Already 10,000 in the whole. Paid for what I thought was quality and got junk.

We took our 2022 256BH out for a test run last week and loved the layout., although not crazy with the walkthrough bathroom. There are a few flaws in the design of the trailer that could be improved upon. Safety wise, there are no side flashers when turning for people in your blind spot. Storage under the dinette and couch are not high enough to store a case of bottled water. The kitchen window opens up behind the door when opened, therefore useless during the day. It would be worth the extra cost to have a window that opens beside the couch. The curtains are see through at night with interior lights turned on. It would be nice to be able to manage the lights in the main room, they are either all on or off. The light over the bed is so bright that it's blinding when lying down. And finally the connections under the trailer for propane, black and grey water are so far back that you have to get on your knees to find them. besides the listed shortfalls we really enjoyed our experience with it so far.

They were happy to sell us an RV but didn't care to work with us to fix the problems we're having. Both Chris in sales and Greg in service told us we bought an RV with the largest ac unit, 1500 btus, that the unit was capable of handling. I read the brochures, removed the filter on the unit and found out that it was a smaller unit. The unit runs so much that the 30 amp breaker heats up to the point that we are unable to use the microwave to cook for our grandchildren. They have the RV and can't find anything wrong with it. The videos my wife took of me repeatedly resetting the main breaker show how poorly a design this RV is. They keep telling us its just the way they design these units. Its like dental work, they haven't made any upgrades in decades. Warren Wilbratte

We owned a 37' 50 amp Travel Trailer with washer and dryer for 8 years. We never had any electrical problems with it. We down sized to 33' Grand Design 30 amp and are having major problems. The dealer told us we were getting a 1500BTU ac unit and they sold us a 1400BTU that doesn't stop running. When I called them they continued to insist we had the 1500BTU unit which was the largest that it comes with.. I removed the filter from the unit and saw that it was a 1400BTU The temp wouldn't get over 90 degrees on most days. My wife has half a dozen videos of me resetting the main 30amp breaker in the trailer because she was trying to cook lunch for our grand children in the microwave and we can't run the ac and microwave at the same time without tripping the rv's 30 amp breaker. We were forced to take our grandchildren out to eat and checked into a motel due to the dangerously high heat index in the trailer.

This camper is junk!! Bought new at Cookeville RV. 2 Storage doors will not close properly, the awning leaks where attached to camper. The trim molding at the metal around exterior have all fallen off. The hot water heater access panel will not close. There is a leak at the underbelly approximately where hot water heater is. I am very disappointed in a camper we have only used 4 times!! We have 4 trips planned this year and I’m sure it will sit in the shop for weeks to get these things addressed. Not so Grand Design! Oh and interior sliding door has fallen off twice….

I called way before my warranty was out about a leak. We thought it was my hot water heater. Because one fitting that we tightened was loose. I ended up with a remained floor over it. And ended up since it was after a year figured out it was the water line to the outside shower behind the stairs to the bunkers that was leaking. With no access panel to get to it.... I ended up having to cut a access hole myself to get to it. So after a year of trying to figure this out. I have trim on my couch messed up and linoleum that needs to be replaced. And since the first initial call to grand design about this wad about the hot water heater and I did it my self instead of having someone come fix the wrong problem to begin with. They will not cover it under warranty. Grand design need to have access panels to all plumbing for people. And the books they give you with your new purchase are worthless.

So let’s start by saying I am located in Phoenix Arizona and definitely not our first trailer. With that being said let’s start the review. We bought our 265bh in April and bought it for the floor plan. Overall it’s a decent trailer and a great floor plan with the kids. However, I wish they would build the unit to location it’s going to. Very hot inside even with a/c on high and doesn’t cool off master bed area hardly at all and nothing during the day time when it 110* outside. Can’t get a second a/c without moving things around on the roof and changing it to 50 amp or running a completely separate circuit. The trailer stinks whenever someone showers or flushes the toilet. And before anyone says “clean and flush the tanks” just know they are. Over and over and over again. The black tank does not stink (weird I know) but whenever the water is turned on the entire unit smells. When traveling it sways more than I believe it should (even with airbags and anti sway bar). Although the 265bh has a lot of good points, I would not suggest it.

We purchased are GD Transcend 265BH and tow with a Ford F-150. We have been all over the west in it from California to Montana to South Dakota and back to AZ. Overall has done great, except for two major issues. One is our problem with the tow vehicle, a modern half-ton can tow this with no power issues (been through the Rockies with out breaking a sweat) but it’s the fact you have a 5k lbs truck vs a 8k trailer. After taking this from AZ to CA in winds we decided to invest in the ProPride (game changer!) and that issue is resolved. The second issue was that our Furrion AC went out in SD during a heat wave. GD has been responsive but we are still waiting for the dealer to get the parts to fix the AC (2 months later). Overall great trailer, glad we went into it and enjoy the memories we are making with our boys.

Only problem is a pungent smell in the trailer that gets in your clothes and will not go away. Tried the usual de-gassing procedures but to no avail. Trailer layout is good with front bedroom and bath separate from living area. Wife has Asthma so I will try ammonia treatment next to try and decrease smell.
