Love the layout of this unit. The two doors into the bathroom is a great feature for an RV. Storage in and underneath is great and hard to fill up. We have a queen sofa bed so we often take grandkids on trips. Grand Design customer support has been great on the few occasions we have needed them. Show less

This RV has no issues, we had a wonderful experience since we used it once for 2 months, drive it to Florida nd back,since then it's bin sitting in storage due to Covid,we decided to sell it Not planning to go to Florida anytime soon! Staying in Durham!! Show less

We did extensive research before buying this RV. After researching we were impressed with the quality and features in Grand Design 5th wheels! After looking at all the Grand Design models we fell in love with the practical/functional floor plan of the Solitude 384GK. We really like the desk area and the 2 doors to the bathroom and how part of the bathroom is in the bedroom slide-out! We have loved this camper and it has performed exceptionally well! The only reason we are selling is that we'd like to take our ATV with us on a trip planned to Arizona next year so plan to buy a toy-hauler. Show less

I have owned this RV for two years now and I have to say it’s the best RV I have owned. The amount of storage, living space, the easy towing, camp set up fast and easy, but most of the quality of the RV is outstanding. To date I haven’t had any issues with this coach. Show less

I just want to say it’s a beautiful trailer, but if you are the top of the line I would hate to see the rest. I know that I can be a little picky but my father was a building contractor and he would have a fit on the finish detail on this trailer, we just bought it a week ago and it was barely used then and the trim is coming off and driving down the highway yesterday the storage compartment door would not stay shut, we shut it and locked it several times finally had to tape it shut. For the amount of money you want out of these trailers I feel you could do a way better job putting them together. We bought a new trailer so that we would not have to work on it all the time, I guess we wasted our money. We have had two Hitchhiker trailers so I know that it is possible to build them to last. Sorry but not impressed with this trailer. Show less

This is a great floorplan and is very comfortable for even full time living. We did have multiple issues in the first year of ownership that were eventually corrected by our selling dealet. All the manufacturers seem to build them too fast with very little QC. In our last three months of travel, we have had zero issues. Show less

This lovely 5th wheel is a luxury home on wheels. It has so many creature comforts and elicits high praise from all who see it. We’ve often been told that it’s the nicest RV some people have seen. Grand Design brought all the amenities together in this RV. Show less

We purchased our fifth wheel at campers inn while we were at myrtle beach, they were absolutely fantastic at every part of the sale and delivery. The camper it self met all of our expectation of quality workmanship in every aspect you could receive. The only problem is the norcold refrigerator that is in it .our old rv was ten years old and we have the same problem with this refrigerator we had with our old one,when it rains hard, water gets on the high temp switch and shuts the refrigerator down. Now you have a hundred dollar service call to get it turned back on ,you would think norcold would spend a little money and get a sealed switch. When l called norcold they blamed it on grand design ! If l were gran design and knew they were telling customers this I would quit installing that brand in such a quality fifth wheel. We almost backed out of the sale when l saw it had a norcold in the unit ,but l figured after 10 years they would have have the problem cured rather than blaming someone else.i would definitely highly recommend grand design but not with a norcold unit. We would rate Grand Design five star but dealer would be rated below zero. Show less

I would like to make a correction on my previous review ,at the very end of my review I mention it to read I that gran design is a top notch top quality product and would rate them and the dealer where we purchased it 5 star and would not even rate norcold refrigerator zero .sorry for the mistake. After years of researching and talking with friends that have owned other manufactures RV's including GD's, we ordered and took delivery of our Grand Design, 40 1/2', 16K, Solitude 384GK-R in December 2016. On our POI, I went over the unit with a Fine-Tooth-Comb. We didn't have any issues that needed fixing, repairing or replacing. After our initial shake down cruise we noticed one of the leveling jacks leaking. GD sent our dealer another jack and it was replaced. We've been full timing in our GD since January and we are very please with it. IMHO, Grand Design offer's the best quality and the must bang for the buck. Great Job Grand Design! Show less
