Grand Design Reflection 5th Wheel reviews

We loved this layout and everything about this RV until the refrigerator went out after a few months of owning. Dealer said there was no issue after sitting there for 3 months and a few other cosmetic items were resolved. Went third party to get refrigerator fixed and it's been good since. Now, living room AC just failed and again used third party to get new unit ordered which will be sometime before receiving me unit since it's manufacturer warranty. A week after living room AC went out now master bedroom AC went out. Here in Texas in June and July it's very hot (100 plus). So now both ACs are on order and we purchased 2 portable ACs for a total of 21btuh. RV stays somewhat cool. Out RV doesn't move and is parked in an enclosed area. For the price of these new rvs you would think the components would hold up. We also have all the normal poor quality workmanship on this RV as we fix ourself ie: slide out gaskets not secured, trim falling off, nails or staples poking through carpet, recliner parts feel off, shower not caulked and leaks on floor. Would not recommend a Grand Design. Show less

I've been really happy with it selling it because I don't have enough time in my buzzing schedule to get out in it. Its a good camper for a family and the reason I'm selling it is because I'm buy myself now. There is nothing wrong with it. I towed it with my ram 2500 with no problems the few times I went out. I have no cons to tell you about it. Show less

Purchased the RV new in November and used it once in Feb. Store it with shore power connected. Had plans to use the unit for a camping trip with the grandkids in Oct. When starting to check it out for the trip in Sept the Furrion refrigerator had stopped working. Took to the RV dealer to fix, they wanted to replace but Furrion wanted more test and they finally got it running, but by the time I got it home it had the same error code. Spoke with Grand Design customer service which they had me do a hard reset. Did the hard reset and within 3 hours the frig had the same error code. Obviously the Furrion refrig is a piece of JUNK. I purchased this RV in April 2022 and it has been in the service department 3 and 1/2 months of the 5 for major repair. One of the stabilizer jacks was nonfunctional upon our first attempt to camp. Then after requiring several weeks for repair, we attempted camping for the 2nd time and the refrigerator wouldn’t work, costing me another 8.4 weeks of service time. Upon completion of repair, didn’t even make it out of the service department before it had to be checked back in for repair of the main living area slide out because it wouldn’t extend. Another loss of camping and money. Now making another attempt to go camping and guess what: the new refrigerator wouldn’t cool, so back to the service department again. Motels cost less than this and provide alot less stress. Please make sure you thoroughly investigate your product and it’s reviews before you invest your hard earned income. Show less

We have owned numerous 5th wheels and previously had a 337rls with no issues. The new 2022 367BHS has been absolutely terrible. Every trip we have been on something has gone wrong. The whole upper floor flooded because the water line to toilet had not been tighten down, black grease marks all over the carpet in bedroom, bunkhouse couch had a big tear in it, refrigerator malfuctioned due to the flooding and water getting on the electrical system, none of the outside compartment will stay shut and water comes in them, leveling system had to be repaired so the door would close. Outlets falling out of walls. Kitchen table came out of floor while we were driving. Refrigerator has a raw piece of 2x4 behind in the keep Refrigerator in place. Pieces of air conditioners have fallen out, screens fallen out, screws on body of camper keep coming out, every time we take it somewhere after driving we find screws and oarts on the floor, we had to screw down the living room couch and the bunkhouse couch as this had not been done. The list just goes on and on. So disappointed. Show less

Very disappointed. The layout is great, design and interior is beautiful. Outside of that they are JUNK. Refrigerator works once in a while most the time it does not, Slide has to be reset constantly as it does not slide in evenly. These units are NOT worth the money. My friend has a large toy hauler from grand design and the refrigerator in his rarely works as well. Wish we would have went back to a Keystone Cougar, had one for 17 years and NEVER had a single issue in all the years we owned it. Save your money! BEWARE! UPDATE JULY 26 STILL NO SATISFACTION FROM GD. THEY ARE SENT A STOOL FOR A DINNETTE CUSHION BACKING. NO AWNING MOTOR, NO RECLINER HEAT PAD. NO WINDOW, NO SCREEN FOR SCREEN DOOR. I HAVE RECIEVED INSIDE DOOR WHERE IT PEELED OFF , A GFI, AN ELECTRIC OUTLET COVERING. BUT THEY SAY THEYVE SENT AWNING MOTOR...IF. I HAD IT I WOULD HAVE TECH INSTALL IT SO IT WOULD HELP COOL MY TRAILER FROM THE DIRECT SUN IN THIS 90 PLUS HEAT I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE MY RECLINER FIXED FOR WINTER, I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A WORKING WINDOW AND A SCREEN FOR MY SCREEN DOOR. AND AFTER MANY PICTURES AND MEASUREMENTS SENT I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE DINETTE.CUSHION BACK FOR MY DINETTE. FOR UPDATE JULY 8 ... THE TECH HAS FIXED THE REF SAFETY RECALL FOR FIRE HAZARD. I GOT THE REFRIGERATOR PART FROM MY DEALER AND REPLACED IT MYSELF WITHOUT THE TECH . Its a beautiful rv and enjoying it. I have turned in the following issues to Grand Design.for the under 1 year warranty: and waiting for results...We need a thermister.for the fridge.  Which is a Norcold. Models and part #sent. Could you have a Thermister sent or send info for me to get one from my dealer A&L and explain under warranty to the He said the reason i have always had to keep it on the max setting since i bought it and had to continually defrost since the months ive owned it was because the thermister was bad from origin and finally quit working. I also need to turn in claims for the following: 1..heat on one of my recliners does not work.. 2. One of the living room windows has not gone up because the track is bent. 3. Bedroom electrical outlet will not stay in the wall. 4.front door will not close without slamming and pushing very hard and making scraping places on the door jam. 5.. the bed frame siding has come loose and the nails stick out and stick my hands when changing sheets. 6.terrible condensation in the bedroom walls and drips on carpet. 7. Gfi outlet in storage bay at water controls only works on 1 plug need new gfi outlet. 8. The paint on the bunkhouse room door has peeled off.9. One of the ladder bolt covers has never been on it. 10.screen has come loose and torn on the entrance screen door. 11. The cushion on the dinette had no button and the buttons can't be replaced it has a sealed backing.I  would also like to check on the status of a recall  22V-038 about a fire hazard on wiring on the fridge.  there is a clamp on but the tech said the wires have to be moved and away from the cooling and not just a clamp  and the wires need to be moved is what the recall is calling for . THERE ARE VARIOUS OTHER THINGS THE TECH WILL FIX LIKE THE REF SSFETY RECALL. I GOT THE REFRIGERATOR PART FROM MY DEALER AND REPLACED IT MYSELF WITHOUT THE TECH . Terrible build quality and worse customer service. I'm being told I 'got a lemon'; it seems, though, that Grand Design just markets a different product than they deliver. Our list of issues is too long to list, but here's a few: The roof wasn't installed properly and has to be replaced, the entry door stopped functioning altogether and had to be replaced, the fresh water tank doesn't hold water, the shower leaks, the exterior compartment doors won't lock, the furnace wouldn't light, on and on and on... all within the first few months of ownership (most, if not all, issues were present from the factory). The kicker? Grand Design refuses to provide the results of the PDI they boast about; the dealership won't provide theirs either. Shady. Show less
