I did research before I bought this and it was one of the top of the line very well-made travel trailers. I bought this travel trailer during the aftermath of Covid when everything was on backorder, etc. and apparently they have been making these with junk inside them. Both of my furry on air conditioners did not work as they should. One of them had the Freon run out so I replaced both of them with a Coleman Mach. The refrigerator microwave and most everything is Furrion and made in China. My microwave is having issues and my refrigerator since I bought it has an issue with the compressor and it makes a very loud rattling noise every time it tries to cool off. Now that could’ve been just installation of said item, but everything seems to be quickly made with cheap equipment. They would not even reimburse me for replacing my air conditioners because I didn’t take it in to have that looked at when I had already had them checking on the AC why it wasn’t reading the temperature on multiple visits. So in addition to this no longer being a reliable brand, their warranty is crap also. Stay away from this brand.

We loved this layout and everything about this RV until the refrigerator went out after a few months of owning. Dealer said there was no issue after sitting there for 3 months and a few other cosmetic items were resolved. Went third party to get refrigerator fixed and it's been good since. Now, living room AC just failed and again used third party to get new unit ordered which will be sometime before receiving me unit since it's manufacturer warranty. A week after living room AC went out now master bedroom AC went out. Here in Texas in June and July it's very hot (100 plus). So now both ACs are on order and we purchased 2 portable ACs for a total of 21btuh. RV stays somewhat cool. Out RV doesn't move and is parked in an enclosed area. For the price of these new rvs you would think the components would hold up. We also have all the normal poor quality workmanship on this RV as we fix ourself ie: slide out gaskets not secured, trim falling off, nails or staples poking through carpet, recliner parts feel off, shower not caulked and leaks on floor. Would not recommend a Grand Design.

This RV is 38 feet in length and due to it's GVWR of 11295 and UVW of 9484, it would be best to tow with a 3/4 ton truck or bigger. This travel trailer has the bedroom in the front with a full size queen bed, a center island kitchen, and in the rear is the living or entertainment area with a full back picture window. This RV comes with an inverter and converter. Some individuals may say that having a residential frig is a drawback because you can not use propane to cool it, only AC or DC. The water heater is tankless, which is another feature that takes some getting used to because you can only heat the hot water by propane, not electric as some campers. There is no outside kitchen area as some have, so when you are outside grilling, you must use the frig indoors. I would highly recommend this brand and call it luxury living. There is one bathroom, three bump out slides, and an electric fireplace. The manufacturer went one step above by placing Good Year tires on the double axles. This RV requires a 50 amps service, but I found that you can operate with a 30amps, if you have an adapter and only using only one Air Conditioner.

I really like the way this floor plan layout!! I don't know why other RV manufactures don't do more like this. The living area is in the middle of the RV. You walk right into it. Ours has a really nice table for work or crafts. A very nice couch with 3 foot rests. The kitchen is LARGE with lots of storage and a residential large sink. Two windows at the counter height for lots of light. Across from the kitchen is a slide that has the refrigerator and couch with a large picture window which lights up the whole room. Of course, all windows have night shades and screens! One end of the trailer is a good sized bedroom with a closet large enough to hold a washer and dryer.. if you want or just that much more room for all your stuff ;-) The other end of the trailer is the bathroom with plenty of room, again residential sink, toilet and good sized shower. Outside, is a very long awning which keeps almost the whole trailer in the shade. On top, is the best part... 2 15K ACs and 1440 watts of solar feeding 4 100Amp/ hr Battleborn batteries. The whole setup is perfect for Boondocking, harvest hosts, a night at Cracker Barrel ,a week at the lake or just hooking up at your favorite RV Park.

We purchased it used in June if 2022, a used 2021 Looked like new seemed well taken care of. Pros nice layout Comfortable recliners and couch. Like the outside kitchen Tows nice. Like ceiling height Cons In September we noticed the paint peeling off the frame under slides, then upon further investigation it was the entire framework. We addressed the issue. Then one of the leaf springs we found to be broken. We had it replaced . We took the trailer to Florida this month January 2023, we cranked out one of the windows ovet the dinette and noticed the glass sliding out if the frame, apparently the weld on the corner failed. Next 3 cabinet doors started separating at the joints, they didn't glue the joints gut small pin nails. Note I been in the cabinet business since 1985 all joints are glued, So we were at Camp Margherita Ville and I saw a Grand Design van there. And explained what we been dealing with. He said call the number on the truck see if they would authorize him to check out the issues with the window and the cabinet doors, so I did and was basically told they don't stand behind a used trailer even if it's basically a new one. 2021 it just turned 2023. Plus the parts are from vendors they use and don't guarantee them. I heard good things about thier build quality, clearly not the case. Clearly the below are poor manufacturing not missuse 1 Frame improperly prepped for paint causing most of the paint to peel away 2 Improperly made cabinet doors 3 A broken weld on a window frame. Causing the glass to slip out. And a broken leaf spring, To be told too bad, really Grand Design

The RV industery is very fortunate to have the customer pay for their mistakes. We have always bragged about our Grand Designs, but not anymore. What a shame!

Purchased the RV new in November and used it once in Feb. Store it with shore power connected. Had plans to use the unit for a camping trip with the grandkids in Oct. When starting to check it out for the trip in Sept the Furrion refrigerator had stopped working. Took to the RV dealer to fix, they wanted to replace but Furrion wanted more test and they finally got it running, but by the time I got it home it had the same error code. Spoke with Grand Design customer service which they had me do a hard reset. Did the hard reset and within 3 hours the frig had the same error code. Obviously the Furrion refrig is a piece of JUNK.

I purchased this RV in April 2022 and it has been in the service department 3 and 1/2 months of the 5 for major repair. One of the stabilizer jacks was nonfunctional upon our first attempt to camp. Then after requiring several weeks for repair, we attempted camping for the 2nd time and the refrigerator wouldn’t work, costing me another 8.4 weeks of service time. Upon completion of repair, didn’t even make it out of the service department before it had to be checked back in for repair of the main living area slide out because it wouldn’t extend. Another loss of camping and money. Now making another attempt to go camping and guess what: the new refrigerator wouldn’t cool, so back to the service department again. Motels cost less than this and provide alot less stress. Please make sure you thoroughly investigate your product and it’s reviews before you invest your hard earned income.
