They'll make you as the consumer, jump through hoops to fix the problems with their units. Calling any idea they have "suggestions" so they can weasel out of coverage of anything done to your unit per their "suggestions" Even if you show them proof of the issues (video, written documentation, multiple witnesses, etc.) and show that the parts they've installed are out of specification - they'll assume no liability leaving you with the bills and an unsafe expensive camper because they choose not to fix it. They'll try to bully you into submission when you stand up to them as well, I've found and anytime they have information that hurts their case further they will call you rather than continue in email correspondence so they can try to lose the paper trails. They'll also tell you that people with 30+ years' experience don't supersede their techs who claim nothing is wrong when they've proven time and time again their products are failing. They'll also blame you - your experience, tow vehicles, hitch(es), everything they can to push blame from their units. In my case the trailers axles were installed 5" out of spec in terms of front to rear positioning, and also have a 1/2" difference between a front & rear hanger diagonally causing sway, bounce, tracking issues, movement etc. in the trailer. I've learned since that I'm not the only owner experiencing this issue and not many have found solutions that work. Those who have, I've tried with no difference made in my particular unit. Now I'm told it's my responsibility to pay a 3rd party out of pocket to prove (again) that there's still an issue. Then, once I do; it must be reviewed by their team before they deem it something they need to fix under their "warranty". I have since found cracks in the trailers frame and gaps / drops throughout the flooring inside. I have filed a report with the NHTSA at this time providing every detail, email, invoice, photo, video proof, and written statement.

We received our special order grand Design 350 G two months before it was supposed to be ready. Picked it up at Lazy Days RV in Tampa Florida. We were walked through with maybe 15 minute show and tell how everything works. The couch was not what we ordered and we're told it was a mistake. Everything thing else seemed in order from the generator to the solar panels. Get home with our brand new camper and started cleaning it the next day. It was filthy. Took 2 days to clean and couldn't believe the damage. Looks like some one lived in it. Cracked cabinets, sinks and countertops deeply scratched. Some of the valances had only 1 bracket and were an inch away from the wall. Couldn't even open the recliners because of it. Seals on slides you can see thru. Called Lazy Days and sent photos 2 times. Never got a response!!!!! DON'T BUY FROM LAZY DAYS!!! And GRAND DESIGN company is going down hill fast. !!!

My wife and I purchased this TT after our last one just decided it wasn't going on anymore vacations. We researched toy hauler travel trailers and after much review, settled on the Grand Design momentum 21G. Out the box it was a fantastic trailer. All the options we purchased worked as planned. After about the fourth trip, we noticed small flaws in the actual design of the trailer. These were noted and saved so that when we dropped it off at the dealer, they would have a list of things to repair. If you went with the Three Season doors, note that the screws they use to attach the tracks to the upper and lower slides are too small/short, causing the door to detach. The second thing is the glass panels on the door are in the wrong position with the lower panel over lapping the upper panel which allows water to come in if its raining. The rear canopy stops some of the water, but not all of it. Which brings us to the generator doo. The issue we had was that when towing the trailer through a rain storm, water would seep through the gasket, filling your compartment with about a half inch of water. Making this issue worse is the fact that there are knockouts in the bottom of the compartment which lay right on top of the flooring, which allows water to escape into the bedroom and living area of the trailer. Design flaw. Not good. Water damage was unnoticeable. Another issue we had was the black water tank valve would stick in the open position creating a big mess. We experienced issues with the ramp door patio railing and Grand Design replaced the entire thing. They covered all the warranty work we listed. We did not buy the extended warranty because those are a waste of money. The priority service pitch they make is also no good. We were in Fredricksburg, Texas on a week long trip when the black water tank stuck the first time. I called the number and was advised the nearest service center was in San Antonio Texas, 85 miles away. Nope. After our last trip of 2022, we took the trailer in to get these issues corrected. Grand design has notified me they will cover everything. I'm also getting a new generator door and box. Don't spend your money on an extended warranty. I have a small RV repairman who I used to assist me with our last trailer. I will use him now that the factory warranty has expired. For the money you spend on the extended warranty, you can get alot of quality work done on your trailer with add-ons. For those of you who experience trailer sway; We did too. Very scary. Make sure your weights and measures are correct. It turned out our Toyota Tundra was overloaded by 800+ pounds. Please do the math. We since got a heavy duty truck for this purpose and it's like night and day. Stay safe and have fun.

Decided to go with the momentum 25g toyhauler. Thought we were buying quality, at least we paid for it. Been in shop for water leaks more than with us since may this year. Numerous small detail problems from backsplash glue coming loose, patio completely out of adjustment and patio awning same. Dining couch legs don't even touch the floor needed completely adjustment and drilled to work right. Missing rubber stops on ramp door causing paint scratches straight from factory. Pretty much a disappointment and waste of our retirement money.

The best thing Grand Design could ever have done is add the residential refrigerator and gas stove. The kitchen and bedroom is very modern the shower is plenty big with the "car wash" showering system and bench seat, the back patio on the toy hauler is a bonus! Sleeps 7 comfortably with alot of privacy and the 2nd bath is key. Master bedroom felt like home with the king size bed and plenty of storage.

We have only owned our toy hauler for 3 months and have been on 4 trips with it and we are not overly impressed with our purchase. We have already have issues with the roof leaking (caulk separating at seams) and when we called the dealer they said that is not under Grand Design warranty. You are to check the caulking monthly and fix any separation on your own. We brought up that we are starting to see rust spots forming on the frame and ladder and were told that is also not under warranty. The toy hauler is 3 months old and is cleaned extensively after every trip, there should not be rust spots forming at this point. Also, the captain chairs we were told are the best out there, but the screws and beads are already falling out of the bottom. The awning is a joke, any little rain or 5 mph wind your not able to use it. We did a lot of research before buying a toy hauler and thought we were purchasing one of quality, but that was not the case. Luckily we got the extended warranty which will help some, but to find a dealer that is not 2 plus months out, good luck. I would not recommend buying a Grand Design RV and are already talking about trading in or selling this one that is 3 months old.

This was a waste of my money. Since we bought this new the fridge didn't work, x3 windows leaking, and still leaking after 2 trips to the dealer, ramp leaking, a/c kicks off, trim falling off in two different rooms, railing system bracket falling off after two ''fixes'', patio door window fell out, a/c condensation runs onto the awning and dumps gallons of water on my grandson when it collapsed, awning leaking, stove vent leaking, sink faucet leaked from day one into all my wifes cabinets, water running out of underside of camper and the list goes on. When I talked to the dealer after my 3rd trip in, which costs me an average of $125.00 dollars in fuel round trip,I told them I wanted a replacement, they said call Grand Design, which told me to contact the dealer. TERRIBLE customer service on both ends. We traded off a good camper and have a total of over 100k invested in this, and all we get is the run around. If I ran my business this way I'd go bankrupt. Their service is crap on all levels and they make us feel like we are being unreasonable when all we want is to have something to enjoy rather than have to work on every time we go camping. POOR POOR POOR quality and follow thru on all levels, and we will NOT be buying another one of these toy haulers from them. They smiled , took my money, and pretty much said see ya later sucker. Beware, they ain't what they seem to be

Ok folks my wife and I purchased a Momentum 31G toy hauler about two weeks ago and took it out for a trial run this last week. We went dry camping in the white mountains of AZ. I had always believed from what I saw and read that Grand design put out a superior product. If this product is superior then Im glad I didn't go lesser. let me start by saying the freshwater tanks do not fill correctly, they have rerouted what drains into which tanks? meaning there definition of grey water is not what mine is and have become accustomed to. The furnace does not work correctly. And we need that here in NM winters. The outside patio landing railing are tweaked and need to be reworked. The backsplash is coming off the wall in the kitchen area. There are a few more minor things. My thing is with the reputation that Grand Design has and the money it takes to get one you like and will work for you, you would think things would work. I can tell you this "Things are not make like the used to be". is it just were we have gotten or is it the demand has so overwhelmed the supply? I bought this unit to enjoy and use it. not to spend my time in the shop for repairs. And even that the nearest shop to us is 2hrs away and they say its a 3mnth waiting list. One more thing this unit is almost a 36 ft tounge pull and let me tell you "be prepared to deal with sway issues" never experienced anything like this in my life. but for the money I spent I have to make it work. Not one person in Maint. or sales said a word about this condition. This is not very good PR work. The dealership said My ball/hitch height and the weight distribution hitch were good to go. "No Flippin Way" they were 3.5 inches off..."Scared the Hell out of us".
