We decided to buy another Grand Design RV after our first GD was so well built. Man, a lot has changed! From the day we bought the RV there has been nothing but issues. The dealership has had it more than 7 months of the last 14 months. 3 of the 4 four brakes didn't;t work the day we bought it, but the dealership told me to go buy a fuse for my truck and sent me on my way. From the beginning our list of issues included; Front door not closing correctly garage entry door not closing correctly marker lights not working rear brake light intermittent working gas fill station won't take gas tears in roof bubbled out wall panels electrical outlet not mounted propoerly trim falling off trim not cut to correct length seem tape coming off on various walls shower rail not caulked at all and leaking water caulk hardened in sink Front door let light pass through the door because they're was no foam in part of the door. Under rear of garage metal is already rusting stair rail was loose on inside stair rail on outside rusted Those were just some of the issue, but we had to have them repaired multiple times. The fuel station still doesn't fill correctly, and we have had to bring it back many times for repairs to be redone. While the repairs are a problem with the dealership, GD has done little to nothing to make things right. Where as we used to be big fans of GD, we will be looking at other brands now for our next RV.

Nordic Fridge broke in first 5 days. Trim all over coming loose. Outside of bedroom slide separating from top piece. Gaps between slide mechanism and wall letting light in. Will clealrly let bugs and rodents in. Tv not mounted level. Washer Dryer unit door already sagging and bent. Wood valances uneven and need tightened. Trim above toy hauler door and seem tape all ripped and jagged. Ball that goes to hidden section behind TV rolled away during the drive home. Walls around base of garage are already starting to stain from... standard garage use. I have not even loaded a side by side yet. Edges of framless windows has peeling tint. Counter in bathroom not solid surface, thats where you needed it.

If you're thinking about buying a Grand Design RV—don’t. I trusted this brand, and by extension, Winnebago Industries. I believed I was investing in quality, reliability, and peace of mind. Instead, my Momentum 397 has been a constant source of frustration—frame flex, upper deck separation, and a manufacturer that refuses to take real responsibility. The “repairs” they offer are nothing more than temporary patches. The problems keep coming back. I’ve tried escalating—respectfully, professionally—even CC’ing Grand Design CEO Don Clark. They didn’t help. They blocked my emails. And now, they’ve blocked me on Facebook too—because they don’t want real customers telling the truth. Saturday, I refused delivery of my camper. It’s already on its way back to Indiana. I was explicitly clear: the unit was to return spotless. Instead, it came back in worse condition than when it left. Here’s the reality: Paint: More defects than before, especially in the phylon area. Phylon: Scratched beyond belief—it was flawless before Grand Design touched it. Cleanliness: Metal drill shavings on the floor, sawdust throughout the unit (even in the rear sink), and someone stood on our mattress with shoes. TV & Mounting: The main TV was loose during transit, bouncing around and damaging the mount. Caulking: Sloppy, rushed, and careless. Missing in spots, globbed in others, smeared all over. Water Intrusion: Water in the front compartment near the batteries—clear negligence. This is appalling. I trusted Grand Design with my camper, and instead of being repaired to a higher standard, it was returned in a condition that’s flat-out insulting. If this is the level of detail on visible items, how can I trust that the actual repairs were done correctly? I’ve taken extensive photos documenting every issue and will be sending them in multiple emails. At this point, we have a serious problem. I expect a conference call Monday with every responsible party—including Don Clark and, if necessary, the CEO of Winnebago. No excuses. And to top it off, a Grand Design dealer offered me $49,000 on trade for a unit with an MSRP of $185,000. That’s how little they value their own product. This isn’t just my story—it’s happening to others too. Grand Design knows it. Winnebago knows it. But they’re not stepping in. We deserve better.

We purchased our Momentum in October, 2024 from a Lazy Days dealership in IA. We drove from AZ to IA to pick it up. When we stopped for the night on our way back, we walked into the garage and the bucket seats had fallen off the rails and damaged the sliding glass doors out to the deck. This was the fault of the dealership not doing a proper installation. We got back to AZ and have been trying to get these doors replaced since that time. It’s now almost the end of April and we still DON’T HAVE the parts!!! The coach is sitting at Camping World in Surprise, AZ in the sun - and the kicker is we pay for covered parking! We are so disgusted with Lazy Days in Council Bluffs, IA as well as the warranty department for Grand Design. Buyer beware!!!!!

Originally bought the Toy Hauler to take our Polaris 4 wheeler on our trips. Given the limited RV parks that allow 4-wheelers, the garage turned into a perfect 2nd bedroom with it's own half bath and TV. Additionally, the bench and tables were a great dining area. Used the porch many times as a perfect outdoor area as well. Having the garage gave us all kinds of flexibility, from transporting our e-bikes and anything else we wanted to take, to using the garage as moving van storage. Moved our Son and Wife's belongings from SC to FL when they bought their first house. While the garage wasn't used as originally planned, it was very flexible and turned out to be the perfect second bedroom for our visiting family! The Momentum has a 40K btu furnace for winter and (3) 15K btu air conditioners for the Summer. With it's 4 season insulation, it was perfect when we went skiing in 10 degree WV or 110 degrees in AZ. Given all the appliances (18 cu ft Fridge/Freezer, gas range and oven, convection micro-oven and island sink), the 351M has all the comforts of home on wheels. Entertainment is just like home with (3) flat screen TV's and a 3 zone pioneer stereo system. Lastly, the Grand Design 351M was designed very well and built with much higher quality than most RV's.

This RV checks almost all the boxes if you need a toy hauler but still camp in conventional campgrounds as it’s still under 40’. This is the trailer for you. Good kitchen storage , kitchen is cramped with more than 2 people in it at once. Limited space for eating but good couch layout for watching TV. Big master bedroom and good size shower and great half bath in the garage for the kids. Small outside storage gotta get creative but still works. This trailer has had the least amount of problems out of my previous Dutchman and Forest River trailers. Would purchase again.

I’m sure everyone like my wife and I want to get away and an RV and enjoy the experience and go to different places. My wife and I had a 2009 stellar eclipse toy hauler over the years. We had to replace many of the junk parts that they put on this unit. My wife and I would always notice the Grand Design momentum has been the top of the class draft about buying one for six years and then decided this year. We pulled the plug and bought one. The momentum 320 G looks good from the outside, but things went wrong the very beginning on the first day of our first trip the middle air condition went out that took seven weeks to repair. On second trip the generator would start. It doesn’t look like a bright future for traveling in our Grand Design momentum 322. I’m expressing to you that the quality of products have no quality buyers beware

We simply paid a RV mobile repair to install and its been great since! We have been living in ours since June 2022, purchased used. This has been an exceptional unit. Our 2022 Ram 3500 pulls this without issue. Lots of storage, I can't say enough great things about our home!
