Grand Design 344GK reviews

Here is a list of some of the items that has broken in the 4 months we have owned this trailer…. Recliner motor, scratched counter top (Was scratched on the walk through, the dealer took pictures and Grand Design said they won’t replace it) closet hangers, sink plumbing, brake wiring, bathroom vanity cupboard, wall panel, window clips, and more. We live in the trailer and dealers say they need it for a month or so to do the warranty work and Grand Design is fighting them on everything anyway. We went over our budget to buy a Grand Design because of their apparent quality but and very disappointed. It’s like buying a cheaply made product you would get on Wish. Show less

Ug… we spent over our budget on this unit because of Grand Designs quality claims, but it is terribly put together. From the fixtures to the mechanical, we’ve had to fix so much. I could submit a laundry list of items from cabinets breaking to hydraulics going wonky, but I’ll just say, bring tools for the small stuff and budget a good amount for big repairs… or buy an older unit that was well built. My husband and I have lived in our Solitude for four years and absolutely love it. It has plenty of storage, the layout is well thought out, well built, and it is all season (we lived in it one year in Rhodes Island and it stayed comfortable) - the desk area would get chilly without a space heater but the rest of the trailer was warm). When other people's tanks or pipes froze, ours didn't because our Solitude had a heated undercarriage to prevent damage from the frozen temperatures. When we had to have minor warranty work done, we were able to make appointments with no hassle. Show less

Quality throughout, lots of storage, well insulated for winter use, tows good with proper truck, outside finish is good quality so easy to wax and maintain, lots of counter space for preparation of meals, Show less

My new 5th wheel was either wrecked in transit or either lied to us about it being wrecked . They are wanting to “fix” it (frame Damage) but I did not purchase a wrecked RV , I purchased a new one . Beware .....we saw another model on the lot with damage as well as passed up on it . Show less
