Tows easy, and the artic package is great to heat or cool this RV fast.
When camping in the coach is so well insulated that you won't hear neighbors talking outside.
Used mostly in the Florida heat and have no issue in cooling down the rv fast, or keeping a comfortable temp 24/7.
No need in having a heavy duty truck to pull this coach pulls easy
with a 4.0L Ford Ranger with no issue.
Braking system on this RV is great for stopping

Grand design costumer support is useless. I would rate them a 0 if I could. I've had nothing but issues with my rv since the get go. I do not recommend anyone buy from this company. My rv is not even 2 yrs old and they tell me I'm out of warranty which I understand. The thing that bugs me is that my sump pump under my sink completely stopped working and they basically told me I was out of warranty and there was nothing they could do. I told the lady that me and her both know that something like that shouldn't brake that quick. She was rude and no help to me. Save your self heartache and buy another brand.

I’ve had the 23BHE for close to a year and have put around 10K miles on it so far. My tow vehicle is a 2019 Toyota Tundra double cab with the 5.7L engine. When the camper and truck are loaded for a trip we are right at the maximum weight. So far, I’m very happy with the 23BHE. She’s been pulled up and down mountains, over sketchy gravel roads, through plenty of potholes and I’m sure the occasional curb, and have had no mechanical issues whatsoever. Lest you think that I baby the rig, I have 6 and 10 year old boys who are genetically predisposed to kick, lick, slam, chew, and just generally abuse everything in sight, and with the exception of the occasional sticking door and peeling laminate, the RV has held up remarkably well.
The floor plan is great as well. GD has made good use of the small space. Keep in mind that this is a fairly small RV, so don’t expect to fit all of your belongings. We recently went on a 3 week trip to Yellowstone and had plenty of space for everything we really needed.

Bought it brand new and took a trip going from Colorado to Montana. 1st day the water heater control board went out. 2nd day 2 cabinet doors fell off. 3rd day bathroom door won't slide square. 4th day the actual bottom fell out and was dragging it on the road. Noticed they had no insulation under the floorboard for the "Arctic" package. Driving home the corner weather stripping fell off and was trailing behind in the SLC freeway. Several other items broke also. 6 weeks in the shop they finally repaired almost everything. Dealer informed me Grand Design will not cover cabinet doors falling off. Next year found the supply to faucet connections were leaking due to incorrect factory installation. Grand Design said not their problem, out of warranty. This company has no quality control. Steer Clear!

Our 2021 Grand Design Imagine XLS, floor plan 21BHE was purchased as a semi-permanently installed hunting camper on property we own, with the possibility of a rare family trip. We chose the Grand Design largely due to their reputation for quality. They have not disappointed in that respect, as we’ve had zero issues since taking delivery.
The trailer is towed with a 2018 Ford Raptor SuperCrew. Even without weight distribution the trailer is essentially transparent, with no problematic sway or braking issues etc. Pro backup assist is magic and worth every penny, regardless of how well you can back up a trailer. Let me tell you... the old-timers never forget to remind you when they see you using it. easier and safer is easier and safer, regardless of anyone’s weird attachment of masculinity to the simple act of parking a vehicle... it’s not hard and doing it manually isn’t a skill worth bragging about lol. So odd... anyway, back on topic...
Initial build quality is, well... still an RV. That said, you can tell the people who assembled it took the time to line things up and what not, which is more than can be said for the majority of camper trailers that we looked at. At the end of the day these things have to be light and that means thin walls, lightweight components and a general lack of the heft and feel of quality that you associate with residential ‘stuff’. With this as a baseline, the build quality of the Grand Design is as good as anything else we could find, short of maybe an Airstream @ 4x the price.
Our dealer was LaMesa RV and I can’t recommend them any higher. Their price beat anything we could find on the Internet (let alone locally... which was nothing at all) by a considerable margin. They also do a great job with PDI... it was clear when we showed up that they’d actually tested everything more than once and encouraged us to spend all the time we needed doing the same. Wherever you buy, make sure they focus on this, as I’m fairly certain it’s a big part of why we’ve had no issues since driving off the lot.
All in all, I’d strongly recommend both LaMesa and Grand Design.
