I've had a Grand Design Transcend Xplor 261BH, and I couldn’t be happier with this travel trailer! From the moment we stepped inside, it felt like a perfect blend of comfort, practicality, and quality—everything my family and I were looking for in a home away from home. The layout is fantastic, especially for a family. With a spacious queen bed up front for the adults and double-size bunk beds in the rear, there’s plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably. My kids absolutely love having their own little bunk area—it’s like their personal hideout, which makes bedtime a breeze. The trailer sleeps up to 9, so we’ve even had space for friends or extended family to join us on trips. The kitchen is a standout feature for me. It’s well-equipped with a deep stainless steel sink, residential countertops, and plenty of storage, making meal prep super easy whether we’re cooking inside or using the outdoor kitchen. Speaking of which, the outdoor kitchen has been a game-changer—grilling burgers while enjoying the fresh air just adds to the camping experience. Cleanup is quick too, leaving us more time to relax. Storage is another huge plus. This trailer has so much space for all our gear, clothes, and essentials, yet it still feels open and uncluttered inside. The build quality really shines through—everything feels solid and sturdy, from the hardwood drawer fronts to the upgraded residential furniture. It’s clear that Grand Design put a lot of thought into making this trailer both functional and durable. Towing has been a breeze with our half-ton truck, and the power tongue jack makes setup at the campsite quick and stress-free. The heated and enclosed underbelly is a nice touch too, giving us confidence that we can extend our camping season without worrying about the weather. We’ve only had it for a short time, but so far, it’s exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail, like the USB ports throughout and the Bluetooth stereo with exterior speakers, just adds to the overall enjoyment. It’s the little things that make this trailer feel special. If you’re in the market for a reliable, family-friendly travel trailer that’s built to last, I can’t recommend the Transcend Xplor 261BH enough—it’s been an absolute joy to own!

This rig is poorly constructed. We’ve owned it two years and put about 10,000 miles on it. Here are the more significant problem areas: 1) Plumbing. Installers used PEX clamps on vinyl tubing. So far, we’ve had six separate leaks and it’s getting worse. Some are in the underbelly. We’ll be forced to complete a major tear down just to get to the leaks. We will then have to replace ALL clamps on the vinyl tubes. 2) Schwintek slide was improperly installed from the factory. Dealer can’t seem to make it right. Still throws error codes. Multi-thousand dollar repair required one year into ownership. 3) Roof membrane is starting to bubble. 4) Kitchen countertop is delaminating.around the sink. 5) Sliding barn door always fell off during transit until I “McGyvered” it for a permanent fix. We hope to sell (dump) it once we fix the plumbing. Grand Design isn’t worth the premium price.

Bought this in 2022 to replace a 2008 Keystone Passport 255BH. From day one there were many problems! 1st trip I couldn't get the door open, the rear storage door would close, panels popped loose from the walls, water heater didn't work, trailer brakes didn't work. From here the problems kept getting worse. I contacted Grand Design but they did NOTHING. My dealer fixed what they could but the problem lies in the walls, meaning the walls shift while being towed and causes tons of issue. The dealer contacted Grand Design and they said the door keeps sticking closed because it was hot and in the sun causing the door to swell. It's now 2023 and my list of problems has grown to 3 pages worth and guess what?! Grand Design won't stick behind their product..

We purchased our MLE in 2022. We are upgrading to a bigger RV and was reading reviews on the potential new buy and discovered that the reviews are likely skewed because most are from unhappy owners that have had problems, so I decided to give my review. The MLE has been awesome. Other than user error, there have been absolutely no problems. The quality is what we expected. The mattress was replaced on day 1, but that seems to be an industry standard to put garbage bedding in. The cushions on the dinette could have been a denser foam, but I’m just nit-picking to give a deep sense of this camper.

My 22MLE has a problem with the safety chains. Because of the poorly designed way of attaching them to the trailer, the chains are held in a bind and are over halfway eaten through. Grand design is trying to blame it on my E4 hitch, but my hitch head doesn’t have a mark on it. I spoke with Josh at GD, and he was pretty crappy about it. Not what i expected after dropping those kinds of dollars. Grand Design, as a company, sucks. Zero customer service. I have no choice but to buy new chains and have them properly attached to the trailer so this can’t happen. Just another thing the NTSB should be asking them about. We love our TT, but this sorry customer no service makes me wish we’d spent that money elsewhere. I don’t like learning that I’ve partnered with company that gives the middle finger to its customers. Grand Design Imagine XLS 22mle owners beware. Check your chains. It’s not just the 22MLE, as we have friends who have a larger GD, and they have the same problem expect their chain is almost completely chewed through.
