Save your money and buy a different brand, I understand things fall apart while your towing your camper, but for them to use 1/8” staples to attaché trim moldings and self taping screws to hold in the fuse box that completely fell apart while towing is a joke. We are now dealing with roof leaks and dry rot, woke up to a puddles of water in the bedroom, called an RV repair guy and he went up on the roof and there are bubbles everywhere, the roof is separating from the membrane, by the way the roof was serviced by the dealer 5 months ago, and they said its all good, now certain spots your foot will go through if you stepped hard enough! Should have bought the Jayco, the $8K difference is well worth it! We’ll see what’s next! But what a lemon. And no customer service department will not do a damn thing. Show less

This camper is three years old! The bedroom window frame is falling in, it isn't covered by the warranty, the refrigerator died over the weekend, this is the second refrigerator in this rig. They did replace the bathroom faucet for customer service reasons. I am so disappointed with this company. This is my second Grand Design, I upgraded from a 2017 Reflection because of the quality. This one is pure crap and I am so disappointed. I spent a lot on this and every weekend I wonder what next? Show less

If you're thinking about buying a Grand Design RV—don’t. I trusted this brand, and by extension, Winnebago Industries. I believed I was investing in quality, reliability, and peace of mind. Instead, my Momentum 397 has been a constant source of frustration—frame flex, upper deck separation, and a manufacturer that refuses to take real responsibility. The “repairs” they offer are nothing more than temporary patches. The problems keep coming back. I’ve tried escalating—respectfully, professionally—even CC’ing Grand Design CEO Don Clark. They didn’t help. They blocked my emails. And now, they’ve blocked me on Facebook too—because they don’t want real customers telling the truth. Saturday, I refused delivery of my camper. It’s already on its way back to Indiana. I was explicitly clear: the unit was to return spotless. Instead, it came back in worse condition than when it left. Here’s the reality: Paint: More defects than before, especially in the phylon area. Phylon: Scratched beyond belief—it was flawless before Grand Design touched it. Cleanliness: Metal drill shavings on the floor, sawdust throughout the unit (even in the rear sink), and someone stood on our mattress with shoes. TV & Mounting: The main TV was loose during transit, bouncing around and damaging the mount. Caulking: Sloppy, rushed, and careless. Missing in spots, globbed in others, smeared all over. Water Intrusion: Water in the front compartment near the batteries—clear negligence. This is appalling. I trusted Grand Design with my camper, and instead of being repaired to a higher standard, it was returned in a condition that’s flat-out insulting. If this is the level of detail on visible items, how can I trust that the actual repairs were done correctly? I’ve taken extensive photos documenting every issue and will be sending them in multiple emails. At this point, we have a serious problem. I expect a conference call Monday with every responsible party—including Don Clark and, if necessary, the CEO of Winnebago. No excuses. And to top it off, a Grand Design dealer offered me $49,000 on trade for a unit with an MSRP of $185,000. That’s how little they value their own product. This isn’t just my story—it’s happening to others too. Grand Design knows it. Winnebago knows it. But they’re not stepping in. We deserve better. Show less

I've had a Grand Design Transcend Xplor 261BH, and I couldn’t be happier with this travel trailer! From the moment we stepped inside, it felt like a perfect blend of comfort, practicality, and quality—everything my family and I were looking for in a home away from home. The layout is fantastic, especially for a family. With a spacious queen bed up front for the adults and double-size bunk beds in the rear, there’s plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably. My kids absolutely love having their own little bunk area—it’s like their personal hideout, which makes bedtime a breeze. The trailer sleeps up to 9, so we’ve even had space for friends or extended family to join us on trips. The kitchen is a standout feature for me. It’s well-equipped with a deep stainless steel sink, residential countertops, and plenty of storage, making meal prep super easy whether we’re cooking inside or using the outdoor kitchen. Speaking of which, the outdoor kitchen has been a game-changer—grilling burgers while enjoying the fresh air just adds to the camping experience. Cleanup is quick too, leaving us more time to relax. Storage is another huge plus. This trailer has so much space for all our gear, clothes, and essentials, yet it still feels open and uncluttered inside. The build quality really shines through—everything feels solid and sturdy, from the hardwood drawer fronts to the upgraded residential furniture. It’s clear that Grand Design put a lot of thought into making this trailer both functional and durable. Towing has been a breeze with our half-ton truck, and the power tongue jack makes setup at the campsite quick and stress-free. The heated and enclosed underbelly is a nice touch too, giving us confidence that we can extend our camping season without worrying about the weather. We’ve only had it for a short time, but so far, it’s exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail, like the USB ports throughout and the Bluetooth stereo with exterior speakers, just adds to the overall enjoyment. It’s the little things that make this trailer feel special. If you’re in the market for a reliable, family-friendly travel trailer that’s built to last, I can’t recommend the Transcend Xplor 261BH enough—it’s been an absolute joy to own! Show less

Excellent floorplan - especially for the size. Easy to tow. This towable trailer has the best floorplan - using the space well and with lots of storage. We have enjoyed our trailer. The bathroom is full size with 2 doors so you can close it off from the bedroom as well as the main living space. The kitchen spans the width of the trailer and is huge. Show less

I would not recommend due to issues with slide out seals, auto leveling, toilet flush out leak, incorrectly installed door frames, screw falling off under the master closet and screw coming up through the floor in front of the master closet. Grand Design refuses to replacement the parts that were damaged before we bought the fifth wheel brand new or the parts that have failed to work right after purchase. They are using deny, delay, defend tactics. We have lost months of use of our fifth wheel and see no end in sight. Show less

Rv was assembled in a hurry. Very poor and sloppy workmanship. End result is missing parts, things falling apart. Excess frame flex/failure. Wrong bolts, missing bolts, bad welds, suspension failure, bad frame design, things falling apart. Serious safety issues. To many corners were cut to make a profit and sacrifices safety. Show less

We purchased the GD in 2022 for long term travel. We have stayed in the 5th wheel for 4 months at a time and love the floor plan. It is perfect for a couple during extended camping. Grand Design was highly sought after before 2020 and was highly rated. During our first year of ownership we found trim falling off, entry door not lining up, water leakage around lights on ceiling and a piece of plastic lodged into the rear ac. Things you would not have found during a 6 hour walk through. Warranty has been less than stellar and support has been minimal from GD. We cringe every time we hear of recalls and are hoping we are not the 1% ending up with frame damage and being denied. At this point we love our fifth wheel but have no confidence in the GD models. Our previous RV was a Keystone Toy Hauler 2012 and was built much better than the GD. I will not own another GD model. Show less

The floor plan is similar to other rigs with the opposing slides. This maximizes the living area and kitchen. Design wise the kitchen slide is large and on a Shwintek system. We have had this replaced under warranty. Would like to have lights over the island, for some reason this unit does not have them. The rig tows very well, and storage is good. Show less
